Of course. Though, I hope at least get a few special platformer levels. They could choose a bad developer like Ubisoft, though, and still pull off a cool game.

I hope it's mostly a platformer: my favorite genre.

In other words, ActiVision is digging their grave as we speak. They are constantly doing these ups and downs to screw with us when in reality they are investing their precious money in CoD(which really is good).

I think they view Spyro as a dying breed. All those who used to play are growing older, and the fanbase is bleeding out little by little. With the introduction of shooters, kids are picking Black Ops and Modern Warfare over Spyro and Crash. Even pokemon, the eiptome of nintendo handhelds is dying, even with White and Black coming out in the next year.

As much as I hate to say it, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if ActiVision dropped and scrapped Spyro's Kingdom. ActiVision's risky gamble will be there downfall. BioWare and InterPlay invested too much in Baldur's Gate, Earthworm Jim, and MDK(my fave game ever) and they collapsed under the weight of their losses, bankrupting and ceasing to exist.

ActiVision is going that same route.

I miss imagination...

I still love Atari 2600-era Activision! YAY PITFALL!

Bioware has picked itself up though, with Mass Effect 2, which may be the best 360 game I've ever played.

And Activision has several games that I love. Guitar Hero, CoD, Spiderman 2 (which is the best movie game ever IMO), War For Cybertron and more. But they let some franchises die, and they rely far too much on CoD, just like how Microsoft relied too much on Fable and Halo.

Spot on. Even Mario is getting this treatment. Galaxy 2 is the best game I've ever played. Only 5 reviewers failed to give it a perfect 10. But most people choose Red Dead Redemption or Mass Effect 2 for Game of the Year over it, both of which are third person shooters. Granted, Mass Effect 2 is a great game, and it's my second pick behind Galaxy 2, but Red Dead Redemption is an overhyped piece of **** that doesn't deserve GOTY.

Activision claimed to have plans for the SPYRO franchise, not CoD. Once again they rely on CoD too much.

Avatar 2? In 2012? No. There will be an Avatar 2, but not that soon. It takes much longer than that to make it.

Ice Age was good. Ice Age 2 was fantastic. Ice Age 3 was lacking. The 4th could be decent, but they may be pushing the envelope with it.

And Cars 2 COULD'VE worked, but then they put the spy mission crap in it.
