Fair enough, I'm sorry, I've never really played any side-scrolling games before, well apart from on the Amstrad, I haven't played TEN on the GBA.

I've seen people play LBP and I was not impressed (in fact, I was bored out of my mind Lol.)

I have all the GT games ( I had PSX and PS2) and I love the 5. I would change only one thing: the cars. There are like 1040 cars but nearly 800 are japanese...

LBP is alot more fun if you play the user created levels. Although the story mode is pretty fun after the first world.

Edit: Why do so many people hail Halo as one of the best FPS games ever. It doesn't look that great to me.

I agree, The Eternal Night was my least favorite Legend game, even though there were things about it that I really did like; like the time distortion.

Well I would expect that! Most car dealerships are Japanese. Toyota, Honda, Suzuki, etc.

Serioiusly though, we have no information other than the title, ONE voice actor, and that it's going to be released on the Wii and DS. We don't even know all of the consoles it will be coming out on! There's not much we can talk about.

However, I did like the Dark Spyro powers in TEN, and how if you beat the dragon challenges you can be dark spyro anytime you want

I believe the same owner of Spyro owns Crash. We all know who.

I disagree. I do prefer the old Crash games, but the new ones are still great. Also, CoTT > MoM.

Strongly disagree with your last statement. TEN, IMO, was the best LoS game and the only one with actual difficulty in it. DoTD sucked, not TEN.

Let's not start an argument about which series is better.
It's perfectly fine to state your opinion, but from many past experiences it turns into bashing the other series/fans.

And I like both. it's been said time and time again, but I'll repeat it: they're each completely different types of games.
I like them each for what they have of their own. It's hard to compare them, because they're aimed at different audiences and a completely different genre. But ever since I've come across TLoS, I've found it really interesting.
I love the storyline, even if people think it's cliche or whatever. I love the characters, the graphics (which in parts, were stunning in DotD), cutscenes, level designs, the music, the dark storyline, Spyro's Elements/attacks, new characters, humor in ANB and TEN, flee flight and co-op in DotD, armour collectibles and so on.

As for the Classics, they're, well, classics. They're what started it all, and the reason we're all here. They had fun characters I love, like Hunter, Bianca, little Sparx, Ripto, and more. They've also got fun collectibles like Gems, Dragon eggs in YotD (which are extremely fun to watch hatch), and Dragon flies in ETD. I love the level designs as well, and the fun Spyro-music, and everything Original Spyro had. It all reminds me of my childhood :3


Just reasons of why I like both, and why each series is good in their own way.

Why Classics Are Better-

1. More Exploring and Freedom Overall
2. Hunter and the Rest of the Avalar Characters (With their original personalities and all)
3. Good Villains
4. Better Music
5. Fun to Play Again and Again
6. Better Pick-Up-and-Play Gameplay
7. Fantastic Level Design
8. Better Graphics (Considering the Time Era)
9. Gameplay Involves More Than Mashing Buttons
10. More Varied Enemies
11. More Imaginative
12. More Goals Per Level Than Going to Point A and Point B (DotD may have changed this, not sure)
13. Extra Characters to Play in YotD (Besides DotD with Cynder)
14. More Variety
15. Better Controls
16. Hub Worlds (Once Again, These Could be in DotD, not sure)
17. More Secrets

Remember, though, I like both. I just like the classics more.

Classic vs. LoS debates have turned into bloodbaths in the past. It's best to avoid that road altogether.

The two versions are different from each other. LoS is a dark, emotional setting, while Classic is a bright, cheery, sun-shiny setting.

Activision owns Crash. It's doomed.

The last really good Crash game was Wrath of Cortex, which is the second best Crash game in my opinion (behind Warped). Twinsanity had it's moments, but was lackluster overall. Titans was bad, and MoM was worse.

Yeah, it's easy for this to turn into a huge argument. There've been nasty ones in the past.


I also agree that I liked TLoS's soundtrack more.. I loved it. This Broken Soul.. I absolutely love that song, and I've got in on my iPod. Guide You Home is great as well. I love both.

I will only comment on this: Both have incredible music, but I feel as though LoS had a better soundtrack.

And This Broken Soul is some of the best songs I've ever heard. And this is coming from someone whom listens to Rock, Metal, and epic soundtracks.

He means that since Activision took ahold of Spyro, the series has sunk.

Think about it: They cancelled the movie. They tell us jack crap about SK, and everybody has forgotten the franchise. Why?

Because if your franchise is owned by Activision, and it doesn't have the words "Call" "of" or "Duty" in it, then they will drop it and never think about it again. They are relying on CoD, which is an awesome franchise might I add. This year, they will be depending on MW3, which is already in development. But Infinity Ward (the developers) is suing for the rights of the franchise, and if IW wins, all of Activision will tank because they relied on CoD to bring in all of their money, while turning a blind eye to Tony Hawk, Transformers, Spyro, Crash, and other franchises that they own.
