Lol. Me too smilie *hates Disc read error now*

Although yeah, it's probably best to check around eBay for the games otherwise.... You can normally pick up a copy for around 6-10 euros.

But that's if you ask for used copies, which are usually scratched. A used copy of Spyro is .89 USD, which is very cheap. But odds are it's unplayable because of it being scratched.

All of my experiences with used copies have been scratched and damaged beyond play. Regardless if the place was eBay, Amazon, Gamestop, or Blockbuster.

Ouch. Sorry to hear it. I've been lucky with some (for example, one game was described as an old item, with dirt, yet it came clean, scratch-free and perfect) and some have come with damage, despite stating it was in great condition. I guess it's a risk like everything.

Trouble is though, the brand new still sealed games are priced more for collectors than actual gamers. It's a shame you can't download Spyro outside of the US (At least, I don't think you can?).

I actually got a PSP eboot file of Spyro 1, so I can play it on my PSP. However, it freezes whenever it is loading Cliff Town or The Magic Crafters World. Also, the music only plays in the cutscenes or while a dragon is talking to me.

I also got Spyro 3 but that didn't even work at all.

The ones I downloaded are not the same ones from the PS Store. It is the raw game file from the original PS1 disc. PSPs are able to run these files. Obviously, I got a faulty one.:/

Ok, well, I haven't heard much about Spyro's Kingdom. All I know is that there is a Dutch Game Spreadsheet with the game title on it.
From what I think, Activision was probably trying to keep this mysterious upcoming game a secret, but for those poeple who spent all their life searching up new games on the computer 24/7 probably found out some leaks and started talking about the game. And...here we all are, talking about it.

For me, 'Spyro's Kingdom' is actually a good name. It's probably based on Spyro, creating a kingdom, as he's saved the world.
But, agreeing with "Spyroo", if Spyro's 'kids' (if he has some) is the character(s) you play in the 'game', Activision and co. has ruined it! I still don't see why Insomniac handed Spyro over to Sierra. Old Spyro (which I liked) was better. Sierra made Spyro a lighter purple. I liked Spyro's darker purple shade. I mean, the graphics, I have to admit, are better, but I think the TLoS is not as good as the orginal Spyro games. I can't complete the games smilie Only 1, 2 and 3. Though, then again I don't try as hard as I do to the new games.
I actually own 4 Spyro games, and I'm borrowing 2 at the moment smilie

Also, Spyro's Kingdom better be on PS2! All the other Spyro games were (well except 1, 2 nd 3), so why not this one? Same with Sonic Riders Free Riders. Only on Xbox 360 Kinect, not PS2, like the others. PS2 is dying out, its not fair!

Yeah, well that's my opinion...I guess smilie

Since the game is published by Activision, the game won't be on the PS2 since Activision stopped making them on that console.

How can ACTIVISION DO THIS TO US PS2 PLAYERS?!
There are Spyro fans out there who can't afford/or be bothered to buy a new game console for one single game! (well as we know so far)

Back to Spyro's Kingdom. It is a good name, as I said before. Spyro is older, he has saved the world (more than once) and he's creating a kingdom. Though as someone suggested (I can't remember who) that it would of been good to call the game 'Honour to Spyro the Dragon', because that is a great name for a game that is set afer Spyro saving the world.
But, Activision might even cancel the game, like the movie (that I don't/didn't know much about).
Some people think Spyro DID die (like this person: http://www.gamesradar.com/ps2/...428135114890004 -scroll down to 'How to defeat Malafor'), but he wasn't in the book (at the ending of Spyro DOTD) and so he did not die. I thought he did die, but then I watched the whole ending of the DOTD ending, and then understood.

I think Activision stopped making video games for the PS2 just because they want people to buy the next-gen console, costing them money, also, I've got a terrible feeling that it will be a Nintendo exclusive, and it will probably still be set in the TLOS universe.

It shouldn't be though. Sony wanted to keep it alive for as long as possible. Now the only things that it will be getting is sports titles, and MLB 11: the Show......aw yeah...

I don't care if it's Nintendo exclusive. It all depends on if they do it right. If it's Wii exclusive and the game is great, people will wish that it was on the other consoles. If it's bad, people will make fun of the Wii even more and say that our exclusives suck.

^ That sums it up for ya. Black Ops is listed at number 3 in my top 10 games of the year (behind Mass Effect 2 and Mario Galaxy 2, my pick for GOTY), and it was great, but Activision had tons of other games that were ignored.
