Fans who don't have Nintendo consoles will probably be fustrated, since Spyro's Kingdom has been confirmed, so far, to be on the Wii and DS.

That's one of the few things I dislike about games. Everyone is always coming up with different types of consoles, so when new games come out, they're just on the newer consoles. Which, in time, basically forces you to buy a different console every so often. And then older games sometimes can't be played on the newer consoles. So once that console is gone, that game may go with it too. smilie That's why I have a bunch of old consoles, because I love old games. smilie Such as King's Bounty, not the new version, King's Bounty: The Legend, the old version, where everything looks like it's made up of tiny little squares. smilie

Some AAA games just end up raking high profits because of their advertising campaign or because they are part of an already popular series, rather than being inventive. Sometimes, they are mediocre.

Also, there aren't really a lot of Wii Spyro games, either. Maybe they're trying to distribute an even number of games throughout the consoles.

I hope the game's given status of AAA makes it a really good game. I have my hopes up, but something could always go wrong.

Really, the quality of the game depends on the player... But AAA generally means that they'll put loads of effort towards making the games and such, fund it loads and stuff...

Perhaps its a marketing thing, not like a gimmick, but more along the lines of a simple "help out the nintendo wii and ds, and we may have just the ability to give you lots of cash, an official nintendo approval stamp, great reviews all round, etc etc"

Yeah, Werehog was kinda mediocre in that. I liked his Eggmanland stages though, and the Gaia Gate puzzles.
Xbox 360/PS3 version is just epic win though.

I agree with what you said! Right now, I've only got a Nintendo64, PS1, and PS2 (plus an atari but that things ancient o.o). I mean, I love to play the games I have on these game systems, but it's just frustrating because there's no more new games for them whatsoever anymore. My old PS2 had broken, so just last Christmas I got it replaced, and now, there's no new games I can buy for it! Now, I'm asking for a Wii, but I mean, if they come out with some new, updated Wii or something, pretty soon the Wii will just be like the PS1 and 2. It's so frustrating.

So I hope the Wii lasts for a while, so I can get this new Spyro game, and if more are made afterwards, I can also get those without having to get yet another game system

I wish more games that are released for consoles would be released for PC. I have a pretty kick butt PC, so I doubt there'd be any game I couldn't play. Or at least I could play all the games I'd WANT to play.

Either that, or it's the same like every third party game: it's bad and Nintendo is the only company that will except it.

I remember when Spyro was only for Sony consoles. If they went back to that and made it only for PS3, that along with Gran Turismo 5 would force me to get one.

They won't. All companies agreed that they don't want to make any new consoles until at least 2014. They want this generation to last as long as possible.

Same with me. I just got the PS3 and I don't want to change it anytime soon.

And with the PS3, when they don't sell or make PS2 games anymore, there will be a system update that will make them able to play them (and yes, they can play PS1 games now) on it.

My Wii is 3 years old (almost 4), I got an Xbox only a year ago, and I don't even have a PS3. I would be glad to get a PS3 soon. And I would get pissed if new consoles were to come out the moment I get it. Fortunately that's not the case.

..... Whoa.... I'm less into the 21st century than I thought. I just have a Playstation 2 (it plays both PS1 and PS2 games) and a wii (which I just got a couple months ago) smilie And I wouldn't have it any other way.

I'll be content once I have a Wii, really :3 But with the 360 and PS3 out there with games exclusive to those systems, it's hard not to want one! smilie But there's no way I'm getting those, at least for a long time, which by then they'll probably have an updated version or something.. smilie
