Well that was a good intention. smilie

I think Spyro's Kingdom will try to follow Fable 3: rising up to the point that you become the king of *insert land here*, and you do what you can to prevent it from falling into corruption and protecting it from foreign dangers.

That's just a raw guess in which I used the title as a base.

Fable 3 is a good game, and the king portion was a good addition. The only problem was that the king portion could've been expanded. I wouldn't mind if Spyro's Kingdom follows that road, provided they also keep the roots of what made Classic Spyro and LoS so good.

Don't be surprised though. Activision pulls that trick all the time.

I'm not saying to completely rip off Fable, but blend the king stages of Fable 3 in with LoS and Classic gameplay.

It seems right to me... In TLOS the ancestors worshiped Malefor, so it wouldn't hurt if Spyro became king.

Well if spyro became king the writers might make not want to be king. Like spyro misses being able to fight evil.

It could be like Fable, while you are king, you can also still fight and voyage through the lands.

About Spyro being like fable:
If you had the choice to be good or evil it'd be sweet. If you made your own dragon it wouldn't be Spyro because IMO Spyro isn't Spyro unless you play as Spyro!

The only choice you get in Fable is male or female... All looks are decided by whether your good/evil use magic/melee ETC... But I doubt Activision would ever make any changes in the characters looks... That's why every Fable game they have a new character, because they don't have the programming to carry on the same character information from the previous game.

Anyway, a good/evil system system would be good... I liked that feature from Fable, but it would certainly increase the rating. Like, what would you do to become evil other than kill innocent people (which was fun, and I'd love in a Spyro game...)

I mean I don't think they'll make it so that the player has the choice of what Spyro/Cynder should look like depending on their actions in the game unless they have the technology to extract data from previous games if they made any sequels.

I'd love to have the whole 'choices/consequences' routine in a Spyro game. I always love that kind of thing, especially when it really makes me feel like I'm in control (which is why I love Epic Mickey - If a character annoyed me, I could just be a jerk to them).

Here's my two cents:

The morality could be more like Epic Mickey, rather than good/evil.

Also - I know this would kind of rip off Sonic but....
Wouldn't a bonus "pet dragon" mode be neat? Not as a mandatory part of the experience, but as a bonus.

That's what I'd like.

Not so sure of this pet dragon thing..... It doesn't sound like it would fit with Spyro.

I'd also like, if they keep co-op, the chance to choose a character to play alongside, rather than being forced to always have Cynder (sorry Cynder fans!), such as Ember or Flame.

Oh, okay. It doesn't have to change thier look, save for maybe a darker look of the skin and more pointed/sharper talons/horns or at least a scowl if they're evil, for example (done automatically). Perhaps if they did and stuck with that they'd have to just reset it with each game.

That is a good idea. It would also be nice if player 1 got to choose as well, because there are moments where you just want to play as someone other than Spyro, and you sit there jealous because your friend/sibling/etc gets to choose who they are.

No, the DS and RPGs don't, in my opinion. There are some great RPGs on it- Bowser's Inside Story and Pokemon- But lots of them also suck, Like Partners in Time. Unfortunately, Spyro didn't get to be one of the great RPGs. With the DS, it's either you've got a great RPG or a bug-filled and sloppy one.

Here are my ideas for a TLoS RPG(I have developed them a bit since. This is quoting from another topic, when I first joined.):

Quote:
Not sure about story but I have gameplay ideas. It's basically a TLoS RPG.
The game would be set after DotD and have similar game mechanics. You can have more than two moves per element and Spyro and Cynder can perform team attacks, such as Spyro throwing Cynder in a ball and Cynder using her elements to create an explosion on impact. The game would be free-roam, and would have a central map similar to that of The Archylte Steppe from Final Fantasy XIII: a huge expanse with wild monsters running/flying around. Battles will be real-time. To escape a battle, you will stay a certain distance away from the enemies for a few seconds.

The game would also have local and online co-op. In offline co-op, Cynder casts a spell to put the chain from DotD on her and Spyro's necks, but in online co-op, both players can go as far away from each other as they want within the currently loaded map, although both payers can teleport to each others location instantly at the press of a button. It would have a branching level-up system too. Flying will be largely unchanged in DotD, except you can go reeeeaaallly high and wind currents are used in places where you do some Classic Spyro style platforming. These wind currents are part of the story, so when you reach the main objective in a given area, you can destroy an artefact that removes the wind currents, allowing you to fly freely and backtrack more effeciently.

There would be parts where Spyro and Cynder are seperated from each other. In these cases, to still allow co-op, another dragon character(Ember or Flame for example) would take Spyro/Cynder's place. That character can then be unlocked for side quests and a competitive battle mode. Also, characters like Hunter can be unlocked to spice things up. There would also be dream sequences, like in Eternal Night, except they are not elemental tutorials. In these, Spyro/Cynder will be accompanied by any unlocked dragon character, including a duplicate of themselves. The partner dragon can be changed at save points. Spyro's dream sequences would be Classic gameplay plus the fighting. He cannot fly during these sections, and neither can his partner. These sections involve Ignitus communicating with Spyro, and will show images of Spyro's memories. They are half linear, half open-ended puzzles.

Cynder's dream sequences are more like nightmares. They are completely open-world, and she and her partner can still fly, but fighting abilities are extermely limited. You will also be doing some mystery solving. These sections involve Malefor's spirit tormenting Cynder. There will be fourth wall breaking moments where Malefor asks Cynder a question, but is also directing it at the player, similar to the opening area of Kingdom Hearts. The story would be serious but it will have quite alot of humour at times. It could even have mild to moderate sexual themes. The age rating this game goes for is PEGI 12 to 16. It would be a PS3 and Xbox 360 release.

I have more ideas but the comment is dragging out! I will leave at this. I may express more about this on deviantART or Youtube. Peace out!

RPG's are strange when it comes to me.

Here's what I like:

Bowser's Inside Story
Pokemon
Mass Effect
Fable

What I don't like:

Final Fantasy
Kingdom Hearts
Dragon Quest

It's a mixed bag when it comes to me. Spyro was in the middle: it tried it's best, and I wanted to like it, but it fell flat and in the end it was lackluster.

Kingdom Hearts
Pokemon
Mario RPG's
Sonic Chronicles

I don't really like Western ones, Take too long to get into, IMO.

Western RPGs I guess are better for me. Japanese RPGs are always the same: teenage angsters have god-modded powers and spiky hair. Their life is full of misery and they fight people. Either that, or they have no memory of their past and try to figure out what happened in their life.

Mass Effect did something different, and it combined RPG elements with Strategy and Third-Person Shooter gameplay. And the result was fantastic, which is why Mass Effect is my favorite RPG series. And Mass Effect 2 is one of the best games I ever played on the 360.
