Well someone may rate the game as a 10/10, but metacritic may rate the game as a 58. For bad story, bland visuals, and boring game play. But that's just my opinion, and speculation.

Hmm... I've said this before but I'm reeealy curious! Adventure pack and starter pack... What could this be? At any rate it will be a change; even if they try something that's been done with Spyro before, I would bet money that they'll put thier own spin on it.

Sounds like some sort of Trading Card system if you ask me. Maybe Spyro's Kingdom has a Card Based System where you deal a card to determine your next course of action(s). Something similar to Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories maybe. . .

Not too worried if it is Classic or TLOS style just as long as it is done right.

In my opinion, the Classic games were great for it's time, but nowadays, it feels like it is missing something, like a bit more puzzling or adventuring, and a bit more of a story, TLOS, did have the story, it just got rushed and for me it is messed up.

Notice to anyone out there, do not take this personally, it is my own opinion.

I'll probably be happy with anything, but that's just me. It's once in a blue moon that I ever dislike a game/book/character/etc. I only ever get floored by things, like Okami, How To Train Your Dragon and Tangled. The only thing I've ever really disliked that comes to mind is a certain book series that if the name is mentioned will cause an all out war.

I'm sure they'll be more games of Spyro and Crash, they just need a break to think about on what to do now. That's what I think anyway.

Sonic Colours(2 versions)
Sonic Free Riders
Unamed 3DS Sonic game
Sonic Anniversary(Rumoured)
Sonic Gauntlet: Enter Lord Robotnik(Rumoured)

Not to mention that there will probably be another storybook game soon, more episodes for Sonic 4 and Sonic Chronicles ended on the cliffhanger to end all cliffhangers.

I remember the werehog bit, couldn't really care, I still haven't played Sonic Unleashed yet. But still to me it doesn't matter how many games they release for any type of franchise, I care for quality not quantity. They way I see it, if they can release all these games before the second quarter then they better be good, or they should have spent their resources on better quality games.

Still you have to think that if they are making all of these games you have to wonder how they getting the resources for it?

That is the question, isn't it? I heard that Sonic 06 put Sega in financial trouble.
Also, I forgot to mention that there is apparantly a new Mario and Sonic game.

Mario and Sonic have been going on for years, and I mean years, they probably got lots of money from older games and even newer games, they are very popular. Probably even more popular then Spyro.

Hmm smilie well with no release dates its going to be hard to figure out how their going to pull all of this off. But if they can do it, then that's a little impressive, still leaves how they got the resources for it though. But, meh at all of that, Sonic 4 is the only thing that has caught my eye, might have to check it out to see what they produced.

Aren't they? Spyro, I'd say, is one of those games that is in between popular and known, like Crash Bandicoot. Those two have been around together, the originals of both of them are very much the same. Sparx and Aku Aku are the heath, there are portals to other lands, etc...

Adventure pack could just be a fancy name for a boxed set with something like figures, posters, decals, etc.

When ANB came out, it was just like AHT - Posters, pre-orders, chart hits.

I agree with this. ANB appeared to be a hit, and did very well. Heck I didn't mind it myself. I was very disappointed that it wasn't a prequel and was a reboot, though. I think it got good reviews too.

But TEN didn't do very well, and got bad reviews. I didn't like it because it was the same as ANB but more darker. I think the producers mentioned that TEN didn't turn out what they wanted, and they weren't happy with the results.

DoTD sold heaps of copies, I think, but then they all just got taken back. Got bad reviews and everything. Did worse than TEN. It only succeeded in getting a very young fanbase, who appear to love TLOS because Cynder is in it.

TLOS had heaps of potential, and could have made Spyro rise to it's formal glory. ANB was a good start, but TEN just didn't back it up that well, and DOTD sent it to it's grave.

Actually, DotD has a Metacritic rating of 69(or around that). That means "decent". And TEN was received worse than DotD, both critically and sales wise.

Oh, let's not forget that it hasn't been leaked there are Packs for the DS version. If the DS version is real, this new game is almost definetly not an MMO.

I actually think TEN needed a few more cutscenes. There were times where I forgot there was even a storyline!

I can see why DotD might be received better. For starters, it's on nearly every major console.
