I'd like to try a tablet but I don't want to spend onscene amounts of money as IDK if id's stick with it. I found a forty dollar one on infonec, but I hear that if you pay very little for a specialty item (which a tablet is) you'll get a peice of ****. But meh, it might still work for my exploratory purposes.

As you may or may not know, I am a bit of an artist, and have already tried my hand at digital art. Doing it using a laptop touchpad is just time consuming, so having access to my actual drawing skills on a computer will be great!

Cool, but what kind of tablet are you getting?

Also, it is easier to draw with a tablet than mouse or touchpad, but know that it's not quite like a pencil and paper; there's a learning curve to it.
So I hear, anyway...

I'm able to draw decent enough things on a DS screen, so I think I will manage!

I'm not sure what one exactly. If I'm going for optimal performance, it will be the Intuos 4.
If I want a balance in price and performance, it will be the Bamboo Fun.

In alot of ways actually.

Contrary to what the comercials say, PCs will do multimedia thing ie. digital art, music making etc. You just need the right software; photoshop and GIMP work with PCs and Finale is a good music making tool if you know how to use it. You can also animate with flash and make #D animations with Gmax or Blender. Not only that but they will do other things including business applications such as the generation of spreadsheets and graph making (sorry, not a business person, don't know many business uses, but they're there), not to mention that they are great for gaming! On top of all that, they are affordable, far more affordable than macs! I got my computer a few years ago for just 300-400$. For the record, it helps your wallet if you know where to look for parts. Infonec is a good place; it's a website but they let you order over the phone so you don't have to worry about the security of your credit card number.

Although I know I'm in the minority there

I haven't really used a mouse for art, I'm stuck with a laptop touchpad!
However, when I was in school one day, I made something in MS Paint out of boredem and I used a mouse for that. I put it on my dA profile.

I was wondering if I was the only one who's tried to use the touchpad!
I always use my tablet, since i've gotten it. I used to use my mouse, but now that's impossible for me after using my tablet!

As for my other works:
The Kirby one took me 50 minutes.
The Sonic one took me 3-4 hours.
The Cynder one took me 8 hours....continious work! And another 2 for finishing touches! Not to mention I was supposed to be on holiday!(And I still need to add a proper background!)

Those three wer all made on GIMP.

But PC's are cheaper. And IDK about macs, but you can build your own personalized PC.

Also, rember you said MOST of those things. So there are still things PCs can do that macs can't.

I REALLY don't want him to be king, I think running a country and leading a race would detract from his adventures as a hero. Also, if he were king he'd have to be an adult, and to me Spyro just isn't Spyro unless he's a cute little kid. He lost alot of what I call Spyro-ish in DotD when he started looking like a teen.

I want something with a good light/dark/funny/serious mix, and a blend of aspects of old and new, the aspects of new coming from ANB and TEN.

It could be the test title for all we know. Or they could decide that would be the official game title.

The idea of Spyro being king is still off putting to me.

What I would love (as in, it won't happen) would be options - Such as the option to follow Cynder or Ember, for instance. Depending on who you choose, Spyro's personality changes as the game progresses, for instance.

Not really. Look at Zelda in some Zelda games. In some games, she's a kid, yet she rules Hyrule.

She's Princess Zelda, not Queen Zelda since she's next in line.

But when it says Spyro's Kingdom, it kind of gives you the impression that it's his Kingdom.

Hmm, like I said though in REAL history there have been children who were king. but I still don't like the idea of Spyro being king.

Exactly. I've seen some games were it sounds like the place belongs to the character, but he really just lives in the place.
