Official info on Spyro games (at least the last few) came out around E3, and I do not expect it to change.

I'm skeptical about this 'new' Spyro game.

We all are. We don't know a thing about it really.

Hey, Aura24, what was the news you guys were making a big fuss over at Activision that you all deleted? They can't delete this topic and I'm curious.

From what I've heard some actors who had Spyro's Kingdom on projects worked on were taken down about a day after. There's more here.

E3 is in summer; I hope they don't wait that long to release it, much less talk about it.

Isn't that the same video that started this? And is that what was most recently posted to the Activision forum? (I'm asking about something that happened within the last week that everyone deleted from a topic on the Activision forums because they didn't want the topic to be deleted. It sounded like it was new info.)

It's the site where the site domain of Spyro's Kingdom Activision is using that one of the members on this topic posted. We quickly hid the link to it, since Activision is using our link evidence to delete any mentioning of Spyro's Kingdom.

Ah, okay. Honestly, I don't see why you guys even bother with the Activision forums. They're dead, uninteresting, and you can't even start up a conversation these days, apparently. I moved over there when the VUG forums died, but so far I've only seen three other people and nothing worth talking about. darkSpyro seems to be the only place where it's at for the Spyro fandom right now.

It would probably be brimming with activity when the next game is announced, and a section about it is added on the forums.

Somehow I doubt that. The VUG forums were active enough back in the day, but the new forums arrived shortly after DotD came out and just...withered. Given that they haven't provided a board for any games outside the Legend series and that it doesn't even come up in a Google search for it, I don't think the board is going to attract many Spyro fans at all. We'll probably stick with dS and potentially SpyroForum.

I like it here, it's relatively easy to sink into a conversation. Somehow in this section--totally not by my doing--we got into a chat about the Guardians of Ga'Hoole.

yeah i moved to dark spyro because the other forums were so screwed up there were mods over there that didnt deserve to be mods or allowed to use a computer that is without having rational thought but anyways aura mind putting the link here?

I wish it was for the other consoles too because it sounds like this game would be very big just by the title. Maybe online play?

Yeah, there's a reason I stick to dS. There aren't mods here but it's really not necessary because the community itself is good at self-regulating. And dark52's got a nice, informative site going on to boot.

@razz: well we both got a taste of what the spyro forums were all about. But whatever i like this site and there are people here who actually repect one's opinions and do learn to repect. Thats why im committed to this site. And ok aura cool i saw this already but cool now other people can see it as well.

The good thing about dS is the fact that Activision doesn't come on here. So we can talk about SK all we want without the topics getting deleted. xD

Honestly, I hope Activision is coming here, if no other reason than they could use some help getting in touch with their actual fanbase for this series.

I live near LA to really have a chat with them on how to improve on the game or how they ought to approach spyro, but i cant really go in there because they'd probably kick me off the premises for trying to tell them how to do their job even though they probably need someone to tell them.

I don't like the Activision forums either. They don't even have a place for the other games, despite the area being labelled 'Spyro the Dragon', not TLoS. And they're pretty dead anyway.

DS seems to be the best place for Spyro fans.

I clicked on the link, and to me, it is just random c*ap, I'm still skeptical about it. I reckon it is going to end up like some random thing and it will turn into a TLOS 3D movie cancellation, lol, and then everyone will moan again because they're being too gullible.

The only ones which are given any attention by the developers are the Sega forums (official), Crash Mania and Raymanzone (official), although I have all of just over thirty posts in three years on the lattermost.

Can we... y'know, talk about the game now?

If it's a continuation of LOS, what would you expect to see, other than characters who will obviously return? I bet we meet Iggy the Chronicler again, and find out that either he or Malefor is Spyro's father. Just because it's the kind of cleche thing I'd expect from LOS. Seriously though, we NEED to find out who Spyro's biological parents are; it's the biggest question I've had of Spyrto's past since Spyro even began, and the bloody reboot didn't even answer that! DX

That's because the reboot was rushed.

I think this would be a great way to explain the abscence of Spyro's parents:

Cynder confesses to Spyro that she killed them during her corruption(before ANb). Spyro would go dark and drive Cynder off. Cynder, now all alone and having lost the trust of the only thing she truly cared about, contemplates suicide, but Spyro realises that by hating her and letting her die, he would only be letting the darkness take him and would basically become the next Malefor. Tus, he stops her and tries to accept her again.
