Oh man, imagine a Spyro shooter game.

I liked nearly every Spyro game I've played. I loved Spyro as a kid, I love the darker tone of the LoS games. I absolutely can't STAND the old vs. new debate. Change happens. GET OVER IT. It's like Pokemon fans who refuse to believe anything but the first 150 can be good...

As for this new game, I'll probably get it. I can't find many games that let you play a dragon, so I take what I can get. Chances are it'll be a good game. It won't be an Okami or Halo, but a decent game.

Really, there is no winner in the debate, IMO. Comparing the two is like comparing Pokemon and Gears of War. All people can do is state their opinions. Some people prefer platformong, others prefer fighting, some like both(like myself).

Exactly. The games are just too totally different things. Just like the mainstream Pokemon games are ridiculously different from the Pokemon Dungeon and Pokemon Ranger games. The Dungeon are my personal favorites, but that's just me.

I never like the fans who believe the thing they love is "perfect." No story, game, picture, creature, anything is. There WILL be flaws, even in this new game, no matter how much effort is put into it.

Things can only be perfect if everyone loves it and sees no flaws. That is never the case.

I never said LOS shouldn't happen, just done differently. I'm saying I'd like it to be alot like the classics, but if it were basically as it was but with the stuff I stated above about gameplay and story, and a little more lighness, It'd be WAY better.

Nostalgia, nostalgia... Don't expect a game to be like the series you grew up with that has 99.9% of the same qualities when it is rebooted into a different setting and atmosphere.

I'm not asking for mostly nostalgic. I'm asking for a clearer image of the Spyro a knew. With a few changes to bettter suit LOS he could still have been a fantastic character.

Ok activision is starting to worry me. Reason I say that is that Transformers "Dark of the moon" Video game has been confirmed to be released next year and not only that Hasbro has said that Transformers War for cybertron sequel is well under way right now as we speak as well and you guys know activision are the publishers for Transformers, so with that what does this mean? a game already confirmed in for what should be real in two years.

I hate it when people say that. Of course you find it easy to get over it, because you like the new games. How about you get over the fact that each game has its haters? >.<

But I do agree that the wars are pointless. But original fans shouldn't get picked on all the time. Both sides are causing the flame wars. Original fans for flaming all the freaking time, and TLOS fans for getting all whiny and responding to every post that says, "TLOS sucks".

Urk. That's a little unsettling......

But Spyro_LUVA, there is a lot of similarities between the old and new Spyro's personality, and they are not hidden either. They actually feel quuite "in your face".

I disagree, new Spyro is jsut too calm and low energy IMO, and he doesn't have an air of confidence and childlike happiness like the old.

Maybe you just don't see it, SpyroLUVA. Even though the new Spyro's light-hearted personality was clearly shown right in front of you in parts of the LoS, you don't see it like some of us do...

That's probably because of the voice-actor not doing a good enough job to get that message across, as he sounds too dull and relaxing, which doesn't help.

I think Elijah is great for Spyro, but I doubt he will stick around...

I think Elijah was rubbish for Spyro, to me, he sounded too dull, and too relaxed, I felt like falling asleep everytime Spyro spoke.

He knew how to adjust his voice to situations quite well, IMO. And confident characters like Spyro usually do sound relaxed anyway, Classic Spyro included.

I still didn't like it.

Rather than a relaxed voice for a confident hero, how about a CONFIDENT voice? Something that has an inexplicable sound of power and courage in it.

I also agree with SuperSpyroFan.

But the Original Spyro's voice was different from all that, different from an average hero's voice, I liked the works of Carlos from the first Spyro game and Tom Kenny from Spyro 2 and 3, he kind of sounds weird in ETD. Jess didn't do a bad job of Spyro in AHT either.

I think Jess' voice sounded like it was cracking alot, like Spyro was going through puberty or something. (No offence to anyone)

It would be nice to see a classic style Spyro game. Whatever it is, I just hope they release it for PS3!

That must have been what Spyro was going through at the time then, and all of a sudden he changed into ANB style, DUN DUN DUNNNN! Lol, I don't know, random thoughts.

I wasn't too fond of Elijah's voice either. At first it was okay, but I found it boring after a while. I also agree he needs a more powerful & confident post.

The picture is from the ending. But the story in Sonic Colours Wii is minimal. It's as straight forward as StD. The only reason why they have a bunch of cutscenes is for jokes, like AHT. But I will put a warning now.

See, if Spyro were like that he'd be great. They key to good hero voices is good hero dialouge, and vise versa. Sonic is bold enough to taunt his enemy, pre battle, and even when he's just talking I persoanlly get the sense that he feels completely secure and able despite the danger. Elijah's voice was so cald and dull that I got the impression that Spyro was holding back on expressing himself in full, which to me says he doesn't feel secure and confident, the way a strong hero should.

Well, I thought Elijah did seem like that at some points. Not to the same extent but yeah. You have to remember LoS is mainly serious, while Sonic Colours is mainly comedy. If you want to see a serious, sad scene from Sonic, I'll post one later. YouTube isn't working for me right now. It wasn't working last night either. Does anyone know if it's under maintenance or something?

I didn't see at any point where Elijah Wood did a great job. Even if the video game was serious or comedy, it wouldn't make a difference, he didn't suit him in my opinion.

For anyone who cares, here's that sad Sonic scene, from Sonic and the Secret Rings. This scene reminds me of the scene in DotD before you fight Malefor. SPOILER ALERT!

Wow! Never saw that sonic game, but yeah! It has great quality, good voice acting...& the movements are quite smooth & clear.

Isn't Sonic Colours the brand new Sonic Game? I never paid any attention to Sonic until now, and sonicbrawler, you've got me obsessed starting today. I've been looking at Sonic Videos all day

So who knows what activision is up to with their games but i think they found a cash cow with transformers. Anyway yeah elijah was ok, they need to find someone who's followed with spyro before and give him a shot at the role plus dont they do voice castings or auditions for these games?

There are big debates over voice actors in both the Sonic and Spyro franchises.

Honestly, there is nothing to say about Spyro's Kingdom right now. Hurry the **** up and announce something Activision!

I'm not bothering to worry about it to be honest, at the moment, I think it is going to suck, so that's probably making me not be so bothered about it.

We barely know anything about it, and people are already saying it's going to suck?

I'm very curious to who'll voice Spyro next. I just can't imagine a different voice actor than Elijah as Spyro in the Legend Universe since I'm so used to it.. And the voice actor makes a huge difference, for me. I can't even imagine a new Spyro design o.o
But it's happened many times. I'm guessing they're definitely going to change his design a bit. He needs it, anyway.

I know, this is worse than judging Sonic 4 off two seconds of gameplay(I know a lot of funny rabid Sonic fanboy stories like this!)

I can think of quite a few people to voice Spyro, both old and new. In regards to design....I would like him to stay a teen(if it's LoS). But they could change the art style and stuff. I don't really mind.

I won't judge it until I at least see something from it. If it's Legend, I hope it's more like TEN (Return of Dragon Time plz?), and if it's classic..... Well, I don't think there's anything that could go wrong (coming from someone who loves AHT and enjoys ETD).

If it's LoS, I would SOOO love if it was an RPG!
