Exactly. I think I'd definitely be interested in, and enjoy, a Spyro-Related game where you could create your own unique dragon in the Spyro Universe, and interact with others, but that's just not what we've been waiting for. I've been looking forward to a Spyro game with a plot that carries on from where Spyro was left off. That's what I want right now. But if they sometime came out with a game where you could create your own characters, I would actually be interested.

only time will tell what this game is gonna be like.

I don't see how Cynder was "slutty". She didn't even say anything suggestive throughout the series. Only Sparx did. I also don't see how her appearence is "slutty". So what if she's got a nice body. Having a nice appearence does not make you slutty. If that were the case, then I guess a large portion of the human race are sluts. In fact, that would make a lot of the girls I'm performing with in a musical sluts.

I myself hope they keep her. I'd really love the game to show flashbacks of her corrupted form, showing what it was like for ANB Cynder, and show her past. That would be really interesting. I really like her character, even though she could do with a few improvements. But yeah, as said above, only time will tell.

I know, I really don't see the problem with her looking beautiful. Shouldn't that be a good thing? (Well, at least if your a guy). Unless playing as characters who looks like Ineptune is what you would prefer.

She's my favourite fictional character, so I really want her to stay.

And if she didn't have room for improvement, she might have been a Mary-Sue, and people complain about that enough as it is.

I myself am a big Cynder fan, and i dont think slutty should be used its uncalled for. How do you get to that conclusion to be slutty! i mean i dont see how anyway she was slutty. Just because she had a good body figure doesnt mean shehas to be slutty. i really hope they do keep Cynder because she was a really cool character. the only thing i think is slutty is the voice actor, i mean i looked her up to see her background and she turned out to be some sort of covergirl,(if ya know what i mean)

I'm personally hoping that Spyro's Kingdom is similar to TLoS (however, I have not yet gotten to play DotD). I just don't want it to become some Internet-oriented game- Spyro was not meant for that. Oh, and just because Cynder has a nice figure doesn't mean that the birds and the bees are being implied. It's the sickos that take the concept of beauty and twist it into something else.

Trust me i know what slutty is i see them all the time at work... plus its a game character sheesh, the people who make cynder into a figure of being slutty well those are the freaks, the game designers when they were making cynder they had in mind to make a dragoness that would appear like a female dragon. remember you guys cynder looked thin and slender when she was a adult. So with that how was she suppose to look like when she was younger or hence in her new model form. possibly in her older teenage form.

I don't think even Christina Ricci made her sound "slutty". She had the voice of a cute teenage girl, which is what Cynder is in DotD.

Anyway, in regards to Spyro's Kingdom, I'm just going to wait and see. It's listed as an Action/Adventure, so I'm presuming it's going to be continuing LoS, which means Cynder will make an appearence.

I'm getting the feeling that it's gonna be cancelled, because, like the Spyro movie, it does not have trailer. If it does come out, I bet they'll decide to also have it on PC.

Did we actually find a real rating? Not that we need it to know it; it's Spyro after all. I was just wondering.

I don't see why this upcoming Spyro game has to be kept such a secret. Yes I understand it to a point, but not in this situation. I wouldn't want someone to announce a game and then wait like five years for it to come out. But if I already knew about the game, I would at least like to know the basics about it. I don't see the point of keeping Spyro's Kingdom a secret, unless they deside to put an unexpected twist to the Spyro world that they don't want us to know about until the game comes out. Could this mean that the upcoming Spyro game is something completely different from the originals and the Legend trilogy, or perhaps even a mixture of the two? Any thoughts?

I see what you're saying and I agree, but if it's a big twist they want to hide, they could keep it secret and give info. I don't think a little tidbit of official info (who are the voice actors, what do the characters look like, who is doing the music, who is the developer, etc) is going to spoil it. The only reason I can see for secrecy is if the next game is totally different from any other Spyro. Like LITERALLY.

If it's anything like TLOS, I won't bother with it and I will also lose hope for the Spyro series. If it is something completly different, I will give it a chance, and give it some time before I decide whether or not, I do or I don't like the game, if I do like the game I will be so happy, if I won't like it then I'll lose hope on the series as I just said. I'm not completly bothered about the Spyro series as much, because I do play other games that are great, like Grand Theft Auto (not the crappy ones on the PS1 or PS3), Ratchet & Clank (The ones on the PS2 are the best) etc.

Know what I'd like? A Spyro game with a strong platforming, free roaming and scavenger hunting element driven by a good, thick story written by REAL writers, with some light combat and plenty of minigames and sidequests which aren't just more of the same. I'd like attractive characters which don't draw in perves, good voice actors who are REAL voice actors paid a reasonable wage, playable charcters besides Spyro which add something new to the game; more than just different attacks. I'd also like comedy, good music, nice looking landscapes, likeable characters and a truely evil villain who can be seen as a real threat; a smart, powerful, bad guy with a reasonable but no less evil goal.

Sound good?

I also hope it's a mix. I want a game were it's set in the original Spyro universe, with the original gameplay, with portals, and the return of old characters, and the light hearted atmosphere. But introduce Legend Spyro characters, give the story more of a plot, make Spyro discover he is a purple dragon born once every ten generations, add in more moves which Spyro can learn, having to beat an enemy more than once, smarter enemies, and I want the games to be harder.

I also want Spyro to have his old personality and design (maybe with Legend Spyro's scales and horns and shade of purple?), but he could act like Legend Spyro at times. Such as recklessly nearly risking his life to save Sparx.

Or, do the opposite. Make it set in the Legend Spyro universe. But take out some of the combat, make the atmosphere more light heart, and make the characters less serious. Collect gems again and add portals, and bring back more of the old characters. I want to see Elora again. :<

I honestly don't have much to say about Spyro's Kingdom. But to clear up my thoughts on the whole Cynder thing, well, her being attractive would have less to do with the pervs and the adult-rated images than you think. Rule 34 will take effect on anything. There is a much larger amount of adult-rated images of Sonic, Mario and Pokemon, just to name a few. And Pokemon definitely don't have suggestive figures. Pervs will be pervy, no matter how attractive a character is. Heck, there is even adult-rated images of Doom.

And before anyone tries to troll me for knowing this, there are articles on this kind of stuff on many gaming sites.

Pervs can make pervy stuff out of anything. And if you ask me, adult Cynder is more suggestive than DotD Cynder. Sparx called her sexy, and I've gotten requests on dA to make "sexy adult Cynder" pictures for fans, as have many others. But that doesn't make me like Cynder any less. I just shrug those people off.

As for the next game, I would like it to be set in the Legend of Spyro Universe. I would want it to continue off where Dawn of the Dragon left off. They could clear up any plotholes, have flashbacks to both what we saw in the games and what we didn't, particularly flashbacks of Cynder's dark past. i've always been interested in that. BUT, I'd like them to reintroduce new characters, like Elora, Bianca, Shiela, Zoe, maybe even Moneybags. Not to forget Ember and Flame, as well as new Dragon characters. they could also bring back elements from the old, such as swimming, mini-games, and so on. That, would be my dream game, if they pulled it off correctly.
But I have no idea what Spyro's Kingdom will be like or about. The title gives us little to go on. I'm just waiting for that long-awaited announcement from Activision. And anything else really. more bits of information like we've found, cover art, character designs.. anything. That's not asking much. I want them to take all the time they need to make it an awesome game, but while we wait, can't we at least have something? if anything, that'll make us look forward to the game even more. Isn't that, like, a strategy game makers use sometimes? Leak a little information to keep fans on edge and looking forward to more, so they'll be interested in the game when it's announced? I don't think that's what Activision's doing, however. I think they're trying to keep the info secret.. if not, they would've "accidentally leaked" some concept art, information on the story, or something along those lines.

If DOTD Cynder would have had a fatter belly and a smaller chest, I would have liked her more....

I would like elements from the old, such as the swimming, but not too much. Sonic Colours had a couple of old stuff(such as re-used level design from the Genesis games in the Sonic Simulator), but it felt like a totally different game from the Classic Sonic games.

If Spyro's Kingdom is like a TLoS RPG, then I will be pumped!

I personally would be interested in a Spyro game that was a mixture of the originals and the Legend trilogy. A game with a strong, continuing storyline, such as the setting of the Legend trilogy, yet room for freely roaming around gameplay, such as the original series, where there was a definate storyline, but more free exploration.

I feel it would also be neat if you could 'customize' Spyro. Like have seperate abilities in which you could have Spyro excel in one ability yet lack in another. For instance, strength, speed, health, mana, etc.

These are some things that I would appreciate in a Spyro game, what would be your perspective?

Oh, and Cynder should stay playable, and I would like to see more use of co-op.

About seeing more of Cynder's past, maybe it would be good, but I'd REALLY like to see more of the stories of the other characters. It seems to me like Cynder's past has been a pretty big part of LOS, which taken alone isn't the bad thing, it's that they had so many colorful and interesting characters which were left underdeveloped. Am I the only one who'd like to see what it was like for the Guardians while Cynder was ruling? Or what it was like for the Atlowa and the rest of the races being imprisoned and fighting for thier lives? Anyone else curious as to what happened to the Manweeresmalls after they left Spyro on the boat in TEN? And what about how the rest of the dragonflies reacted to Spyro? Also, what of the potential for a larger story to be built off of older characters? Why does Ripto hate dragons; what did they do to him; where did he come from? What sort of struggles took place when the Sorceress banished the dragons; why did she do it? What did Gnasty Gnorc do to get banished; why is he so hated; why does he hate dragons? What did Red do to get kicked out of the council of Elders; why did he do what he did in AHT? What about the Sorcerer; why does he do what he does in SL?

*sigh* So much potential! So much that could have been but never was! God, LOS could have been spectacular! A real game for the ages, if they had only been more careful; kept what made Spyro Spyro in the first place (gameplay, personality, design, humor,etc.), spent more time on complex gameplay and levels, more money spent on writers to flesh out the story, maintained what made the other classic characters who they were and Spyro would be HUGE right now...

^ I agree. It needed to stick more to the classics. People don't honor the fact that the classics are what MADE Spyro come to life, and without them, we would have had this forum, I wouldn't be posting right now, and we wouldn't have had TLOS. Oh, and I wouldn't have made up my dragon, Ruuko.

If they wanted to make Spyro grow up with his fans, they should have kept at least some kind of clear, undeniably, unmistakable nostalgia factor (for want of a better term) to remind fans of where is all began and perhaps what made them like Spyro in the start.

Agreed. They could have at least kept the happy atmosphere. I liked the first half of ANB's Atmosphere. From the beginning to the end of Tall Pines. Even though the plot was serious, the atmosphere was still happy. If only Spyro could lighten up for once.

And NEW_SpyroLUVA, your description of what LoS should of been is basically the exact same as the Classics. LoS had a small bit of nostalgia for me, but it didn't over do it, like some games do.

If LoS didn't happen, Spyro would be worse off, as Spyro lost popularity after ETD, and when ANB came out, a lot of people were interested. It may not of sold as well as the original trilogy, but no Spyro game will, even if it were a remake or a Spyro 4, simply because things like Call of Duty and Halo are all the rage now.
