yes actually a mmo with just normal dragons(meaning that they are not a part of some specific franchise that already exists,like Spyro for example) would be pretty cool.
They'd get their own universe and story etc etc...

That's what I mean. You pick your dragon's age and with that the size, the color, markings, periferals (books, headphones, jewelery, etc.), other parts like horns, extra claws and spikes, wings, tail weapons, etc. then choose an element for yor dragon, give it a name, write a back story, and start the game! You could learn different fight styles, moves and other ablilities as you go too. Tere's probably tonnes more to add, but I don't want to be the one to do it right now, or here for that matter.

I have to admit, I would enjoy an MMO Spyro game. I think that would be very enjoyable, to play along side other players, with your own dragon character. When I was younger, I always wanted that. But, that's not what I've been waiting to play for two years. I've been looking forward to playing an actual new Spyro game, with solid characters, a plot, all that we'd expect for a Spyro game. This, however, is very unexpected. But, I'm doubtful it's an MMO, which has some evidence. Couldn't the links Rock Mosher posted of Spyro's Kingdom websites be something like Spyro's Lair, and not the actual game?

Here's my two-cents:

An action/adventure with online play. The Adventure pack may not even be a new a game add-on per se. It could be some sort of Special Edition with bonus goodies like artwork, figurines or a soundtrack sample. Sonic Colours is taking that route.

I don't think so. Here's what it says at the link:

Someone in the comments said it looked like the new Spyro game, but they aren't an official source. I highly doubt Blizzard would bother with something like Spyro. They're too busy rolling in money from WoW and their other multi-million dollar MMO projects.

So far, the most official sources we have all state that it's for Nintendo systems, will have two versions, and is an action/adventure game. Can we pleeeease stop with the unsubstantiated MMO crap?

How does that have anything at all to do with Spyro? We know that Spyro's Kingdom has a release date for 2011 (so far) and is only for the Wii (at least in all sources we've seen). And, again, why would Blizzard waste their time with something like Spyro, which is a tiny franchise and wouldn't get them very far at best. Lastly, it looks like Blizzard has been working on this MMO project a lot longer than Spyro's Kingdom has been in the works.

We don't even know that it's based in the LoS series. All we know is that the name is "Spyro's Kingdom", it has an adventure pack and a starter pack, and it's for the Wii only (and possibly the DS). That's it.

A Spyro PC game! PC games rock because they are MODABLE! You can take the game you have, make mods for it, and thus get the game you WANT! If it would be a PC game, I would be over the moon if they also released mod tools for it!

As Razz said. the only thngs we have as actually proof and/or reliability state nothing that has to do with an MMO or even it being on the PC. so far all we got is...

Its on the wii ( maybe DS ), the release date is 2011( at least for now ), and It may be called spyro's kingdom.

Aside from that we don't really have anymore reliable sources and until something pops up that actually mentions the name 'spyro' we can't be sure it has to do with the next game.

My brother told of a game called Dark Cloud, and PS2 hack and slash game with a town building element to it.



The story sounds like something that could very likely be in Spyro's Kingdom. A boy who travels the globe rebuilding cities that have been destroyed by the main villain. I also like the idea of collectable city parts; it's a nice scavenger hunting/mandatory collectalbe element which has been absent from Spyro for far too long. I also like the idea of fulfilling requests on how to build the cities to recieve extras; also reminiscent of old Spyro.

There are mods like that, however some mods (e.g. the Unofficial patch for Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic) are very nice. It depends on who the modders are.

And lets not forget PC games can also have Level / Campaign editors.

They seemed to have dropped the legend part of the title anyway.
@ Spyroo: That was posted AGES ago, at the start of the topic. It was in the video posted in the first post and a link was posted shortly after. Look for the link to the site that lists three websites hosted by Activision's server. The sites are called Spyro's Kingdom, no legend is placed in the site names. Cances are one or more of those will become the official game site, asnd if the name for the game site only has Spyro's Kingdom in the title, the game will be called Spyro's Kingdom.
