The Overlord franchise has good reviews, I think. It doesn't seem very strange for them to end up with Spyro. I think it's possible we may have uncovered more info on this new game. Take that, Activision! (sarcasm)

I swear if Kotick wasn't CEO, the producers would've told us that they were working on the game sometime back in 2009. But no, Activision figured we'd wait for almost 2 years without telling us absolutely anything, not even brief little info like 'Yes we are working on a Spyro game'.

Anyone who has worked with Activision on the game isn't allowed to tell anything about it, including anyone who doesn't work at Activision anymore, which shows how strict the game company really is when you're working under a power-hungry CEO.

It is philosophical. Triumph cares about making fun games, Kotick wants games that make lots of money. In theory those two things go together, but in practice the companies (like Activision) that care about the botttom line do not see it that way.

That reminds me of the comment Kotic made about wanting to 'take all the fun out of making games'. It freaked some people out but did anyone consider the possibility that is was a JOKE? Y'know, sarcasm.

Lol I think I remember making a post about that sometime last year I believe. I linked to an artical on gamespot about it in some topic about activision is great or something like that.

I found someone else who has worked with Activision on Spyro's Kingdom. Unfortunately, she doesn't work there anymore. She worked on the planning, creation, and management of international web projects for AAA titles from Activision, including Spyro.

I searched through Google using the words "Spyro" "LinkedIn" "2009" "Activision". I searched through the pages of the listed words that were connected to official sources.

That's a good idea! I had been trying to find more people on LinkedIn who were involved with Spyro, but I couldn't figure out a way.

I wouldn't say stupid, Phantom. Activision is different any other game company, with a power-hungry CEO and all. They're probably a little strict with their employees.

From the looks of things, RPG's

RPGS.... Well, Spyro isn't an RPG, so I suppose that does tell us something, because they said this game is different from their previous games....

I think we've found our company. Although, I'm not going to jump to conclusions just yet.

There first three games were turn based strategy games, and their latest their latest three were Action/Adventure.

And Spyro's Kingdom is going to be Action/Adventure as well.

You never know, Activision have just not said anything about a genre... Infact, they've not actually said anything yet. Maybe the people who made the spreadsheet assumed because of the past games...

They've both only made games ofr PC and Nintendo consoles... Could be evidence that this game is likely to be a Wii/DS exclusive. Still, nothing to get excited about. It IS just speculation.

There are other Dutch game companies, however they do not (or have not) made console games or in one case the company is owned by Sony (and thus would not make it for the Wii).

If it is a Dutch company making the game it is Triumph, one of those two, or not listed on Wikipedia.

Dunno if someone said this already, haven't bothered reading the entire thing but from the comment someone made (sorry can't find it any more) about that they should make Spyro an adult in the new game. As the new game is alledgedly going to be called Spyro's Kingdom, could it mean that he is like an adult and is ruler over the kingdom?? Maybe mixing the world of original Spyro withsome stuff from TLoS??
