LOLWut!? The Spyro Movie Poser in Japan? Fake.

The lightning is wrong (hard to see, but it actually is), the poster overlaps some bars and doesn't have anything holding it up. And as said before, it just doesn't fit in Japan. Most certainly fake.

Isn't purple considered the colour of death in Japan? I think that's why one of the other Japanese Spyros (the one in Dark52's avatar) is a blueish colour.

Purple for royalty I think is more African.

White is for death in Japan.

Purple in America usually is associated with villains or poison.

I think it might be real cause it's not the only thing in English.

Well unlike most people who are screaming fake because they either hate the new age Spyro, don't like VG movies (can't blame you on that one though), or because they think a movie is too good to be true, it's because of how Japan is that I say it's fake.

In Japan, people tend to like cuter, furrier things as opposed to harsh scally things. You know how I showed you that Japanese Spyro box art right? Notice how cutesy Spyro looked and how it looked like he was flying through Ponyville as opposed to what our Spyro box art looked like, which showed him looking all tough and cocky and a rather chaotic background. That's because Japan is obsessed with cuteness as well as lighter and softer elements at the moment as opposed to America's dark and edgy trend that's been going on for a long time (and even the old Spyro was kind of dark, well, compared to most Japanese fare).

Now before you all scream about Kirby's true-end bosses and some of the dark elements in Pokemon, think about this: even though Zero2 is fighting you in a horrific place, notice how some things still have cutesiness to them? Also notice how Bowser is all fat, clumsy, and a bit of buffoon? Now, compare them to Gnhasty Gnorc, Red, Dark Cynder, and even Ripto and Malefor. Gnorc and Ripto aren't all that cuddly (nor do they have VAs like that), Red looks really ugly, and Dark Cynder and Malefor aren't gonna make great plushies for little babies nor were ever designed so. It's just America likes things darker, where as Japan likes things (even the dark stuff), to be a little softer.

Now Kojima and Itoi might be exceptions to this rule, but that along the lines is questionable, considering the overall art style of the Mother series and the fact that you can find cutesy versions of Snake, Vamp, Metal Gears, and other MGS stuff as well (and yes, Japan has some of those things I mentioned). As for Spyro, I couldn't call him cute, it's just not way he was made.

So that's why I think this is a fake; that Spyro poster just isn't something that Japan would call cute in any way, shape, or form. As for the English, I kind of forgot something on that part: Just as we like to say things like "Kawaii", Japan has some liking of some English words as well, in which they have Egregious English like we have Egregious Japanese.

Hopefully that can help explain my logic behind it all as to why I say it is a fake.

I don't even know if Rome is on anymore... I don't think HBO has had it on for quite some time.

Plus, didn't read how I said that like America's got it's egregious Japanese ("Kawaii", "Karuu," and "Kitsune" for instance), that Japan has egregious English too? You'll notice a few authentic things like "(PSP PLAYSTATION PORTABLE) VALUE PACK", "Panasonic", and "Galaxy" are on some of the buildings. However, if my assumption about Rome not being on anymore is correct, than this thing is fake...

This folks is FAKE. That Rome picture is to blame.

Rome was canceled after two seasons back in March 2007. If HBO was giving the show a world premier, it would be on either 2005 for season one or early 2007, about some three years before the Spyro movie was even confirmed in existence. The poster for Rome's premier is probably for the second season.

That means that this picture, has indeed, been photoshoped. It's fake.

Maybe ROME is still on in Japan, and what do you mean "Japanese people prefer cute and soft things'???The only shows I know that have blood in it is Japanese shows!

^And I bet of whatever show that you're talking about, you'll probably find cute little deformed plushies of the characters somewhere in Japan.

I should also note that Japan tends to do a heck of lot more cartoons than live action movies due to the paparazzi being severe there. So despite the extra costs, many genres of cartoons exist more in Japan, because they don't view cartoons as "kiddie stuff" but more as just a medium (although some creators of the toons in Europe and the Americas do deserve getting mocked at for their egotism and lack of caring though).
