I have not played Spyro games in like.... 5 Years.... [CLOSED]

I am thinking about getting the old Spyro games again just because I liked it when I was a kid.

Should I get Okami or Spyro?

Both! smilie Each series is very different. Okami is a beautiful experience to play through (make sure you get the PS2 version if you can; the Wii version cuts out the entire ending credits, which are lovely). And check eBay for the collector's edition/box set of the original Insomniac Spyro trilogy (those are the Spyro games that were the best smilie).

Want Wii because I need more Wii games. Have a lot of PS2 games/

Also, I wanted only one.

Well, if you only want one, get the Spyro games. I honestly cannot in good conscience recommend the Wii Okami because they removed some very important elements from the game for literally no reason at all. It is worth your time to get the PS2 version of Okami. In the meantime, you can get all three of the Insomniac Spyro games for about the same price (maybe significantly less) than you could get the Wii Okami.

And if you really want a good Wii game, try Zelda: Twilight Princess, Mario Galaxy, or Super Paper Mario. Those games are fun and were made with the Wii in mind.

get okami, it's on wii but there aren't many games like that, it's a wonderful experience. plus there are many spyro games.

Yes, I generally agree, but A Hero's Tail is an exception. I think A Hero's Tail is the best in the series.

I am (allmost) counting AHT as one of the old games
... After AHT, there only have been games that haven't appealed to me, and there is quite a few nowsmilie I think I go a little of topic now. Sorrysmilie

I classified AHT as an original Spyro as soon as I bought it. It is like the same except it has only a few portals and is a little bit more dark.

Any Spyro games have the same old gameplay is counted as original Spyro.


The newer Spyro is not the Spyro we knew and love.

spyro, obviously, well maybe not, i have not played okami and may i state my opinion, AHT in my opinion is not the best, certainly not even better than the original three.
