It's possible Jet-Vac and the rest of the regular size Skylanders in Giants were already Skylanders before Spyro's Adventure. It's probably the same case with the other skylanders who weren't in the Battle for Skylands cutscene: they weren't present for the battle against Kaos' minions. Although, this makes it confusing on how all of them were sent to Earth when only Spyro, Gill Grunt, Trigger Happy, Terrafin, Stump Smash, and Slambam were fighting.

Not exactly you could see wrecking ball, wham-shell and so many others in the background.

It was only the Skylanders I mentioned in you quote. You might have the beginning trailer confused for Spyro's Adventures second cutscene.

Just got Blades' Micro Comic and I must say, I loved it.

To be honest, seems kinda outta character for Blades. In the game, he seems very calm, kind and humble.

Also, GREAT To see Triggs, Bouncer and Night Shift. Glad they're using them.

Well he was still learning how to be a Skylander in the comic, Bouncer mentioned Blades was still at the Academy when Master Eon assigned him to go on a mission. It takes place before Trap Team after Blades was recruited by Master Eon.

We have enjoyed these micro comics and wished they would do a monthly release like others..

They're taking their time making these comics, seems like they're only doing new ones every once in a while.

I can't even find any where i live only the older ones at least i think they are old. "Forgetting Flynn", "Mini But Mighty" and "Welcome to Skylanders Academy" Now that i realize they aren't so old but still, I didn't get one either since my dad wouldn't let me even though i had money

No, he's the main villain in the novel, Eruptor Meets the Nightmare King. The book's out now in the Kindle Edition.

Ohhh. Still pretty dark. Wished Skylanders was more like how it was in the books. There's a very good amount dark undertones here and there but something a bit more obvious would be cool,

Recent digital copies of the Skylander comics before Issue #5 have mini-stories after the main ones, one that tells the backstory of Trigger Happy, Bouncer and Night Shift in comic form before the events of Issue #5 with Blades.




Digital version of Issue 4 has a mini story featuring Spyro saving a fairy from a sea monster.

Skylanders #7: Return of the Dragon King Part 1 (of 3)

*throws comic WIPs out of the window* Well time to start saving up for a canon comic instead of drawing one with *classified* fanon in it. Gosh darn it.
(I kid, I'll still draw it. The amount of ugly frames/design(look at Hex having a giant forehead again like in SF,for example) the comic has will make me wish I was reading my own silly drawings)

EDIT: Yeah, with this incredible demonstration of how the artist DOES NOT get perspective in the variant does make me want to draw stuff myself.

So excited~! We're finaly going to see him in Skylanders form.

They need to fire that guy. The first cover art is incredible.

I have a feeling this comic is going to be a bit darker than the typical Skylander adventure. Who agrees?

*classified* makes everything darker, and Hex makes everything more full of plot(she pretty much stole Weather Wizard,outhamming Kaos into actually working in her favor). As long as the writing stays in Onk Beakman's standards I can stand the art.
And the thing is, I looked a few times at this guy's deviantart. When there's not an excessive focus on craaaazy perspectives and angels,everything looks great. If you're going to ignore proportions and character sizes at least make it pleasant to look at,not make everyone's eyes bulge and their legs halve in size.

There's a folder just for the skylanders stuff. He's really good with inking and getting textures down without a sea of shapes, but it's so messy and in weird angles that I can't enjoy looking at them.

I like Fico Ossio's work.

And just hoping they innovate a bit with *classified*'s character design from LOS. Sure,keep his backstory(dunno how now that it's a Dragon King and not random dragon of legend),or sure,make him look like Vathek,but for the love of Eon don't go anywhere close to the DOTD design - it was just uncreative and narmy like they threw some filters in a dragon model.
His TEN design was actually pretty nifty even if the colors are hidden in the sepia flashback filter(there are pics in the spyro wiki of him). There was this rocky and cold athmosphere trom the scale patterns and even a subtle scar to break the symmetry.

Since Malley is an Undead Dragon, he'll probably be some decaying Dragon corpse.

He'll likely look similar to Vathek.

I just started reading the comics and noticed something that the games lack

Size diffrences. First Bump TOWERS over Fling Kong and Deja Vu and Trail Blazer seems to be the size of an actual horse.

That might just be artistic license. Hardly everyone has a canon size difference except for Eon,and even then that's using the novels as reference. Some things are more obvious than others though and the comic still doesn't do it; Hex is usually twice as tall as Spyro in every game but in that variant cover of Return of the Dragon King she's barely a head taller.

It would be perfect if halfway through Malefor is really a suit worn by Ripto and Gnasty standing on each other.

That'd be at the same time the dumbest and the most awesome bait-and-switch. But no way, Hex and Cynder are involved in the story, and they're the no-nonsense of the team.

That is a comic i'll be buying.

how to read the idw comic of skylanders online(because seriously malefor in the seventh one!)

There are online websites to read the IDW Skylanders comics, like comixology.com, amazon, and google play.

Ooohh.. This is really exciting me -- At first I wasn't impressed, but this sounds very interesting :3

The ones before Return of the Dragon King seem unrelated to it at most. 6 seems to end the Legendary arc, and RotDK is a three-parter on its own - probably like Return of the Changeling Queen from the MLP IDW series where a lot of running gags in it show up again but there's no buildup outside of its arc and it doesn't start any other ones.

There is a mini-story at the end of Issue 4 with Deja Vu that may be linked to the upcoming Issue 7.

Like how Issue 1-3, had mini stories of Night Shift, Bouncer and Trigger Happy recalling their backstories before their mission with Blades in Issue 5, I Am Legendary.

BUT HEY he did keep the main characteristics of the original thing, then you replace the beard with teeth.
But holy crap it's at the fine line between a Megazord and White Reshiram of looking good and looking stupid. Dodged a bullet but it's still HOLY CRAP so menacing. Where did you find that,ZapNorris?
