I agree with the racing packs, as well as the Dark Edition starter packs. The added tracks will be nice, though I'm not a big fan of racing games. But it might be fun.
Hoping it will be as good, if not better than, Swap Force.

I think Swap Force was good, it's just that I didn't play it much because I was on Wii and the graphics sucked.

Will the action race pack add only two more race tracks or can we explore the island from the top of pack with our Skylanders?

Yeah me too. I know that graphics don't define a game, but SF's graphics on Wii were so bad I couldn't even tell what most stuff was.

I played SFF on the Wii. I found the graphics to be ok, apart from Skylander models. But that might be because I used the Wii disc in the Wii U (I had no idea I was getting a Wii U and I received SFF and the console on Christmas day.

Anyway, I would love to see more character gameplay, but they should stick to the levels they've been using. I don't want spoilers.

Can we STOP talking about SF in a news thread. How many times do we have to derail it until someone has to start deleting on sight.

What I do want to know as well is how much Digital Owners costs - the devs are sooo excited that they can finally release a digital version but failed to explain how cheaper it is from regular and how the Instant Skylanders will work(will plugging a portal restrict Instant use, despite the vehicle requirement? Can they be used online? Can they work in co-op?).

I think it will be explained fairly soon.

Have they said anything about local multiplayer for the racing modes? Will it be able to go 4 players??

As much as I am looking forward to this game now, I do not think I can justify buying this on release day. After previous years seeing this game so quickly dip down 40-60% off by Black Friday, that extra $$$ savings will pay for some figures!

New interview(or as new as you can call Guha Bala being a broken record as usual), and of course Bowser being a skylander is explained as being his favorite character and despite that he never played Mario & Luigi Bowser's Inside Story to play as him, somehow that's an excuse to put him in a hack-and-slash.

Halfway through the interview turns into just pats on each other's backs for being so creative and innovative, but if anyone wanted to know, here's why. They also kinda imply they don't use the Gamepad as a portal because it doesn't have functionality for multiple figures at once.

Each character clearly has artwork which we normally see on the cards, so to get rid of the Stat Cards this late into the game would be very odd and flat out dumb.

I was checking ghostroaster.com, and it looks like there may be more than 12 villains. The article lists (currently) a possible 13 so far. Couple of newbies, along with some returning from past games. Who knows how many there'll be.....

Yes, we counted quite a lot combining screenshots and the raw footage. HOWEVER, at least 2 villains are from this very game(white mask with scar, Spellslamzer) and Cluck has been shown in the story levels - we might be able to unlock some without Trophies,which is why it goes over 12 villains.

Wait? I thought each trophy unlocked 12 villains?

No, each unlocks 4; plus the Kaos one that we don't know if it unlocks anyone more than him, so 13 villains. However, we've seen much more than that, especially in Sky vehicles, where it's Wolfgang,Hood Sickle, Chef Pepperjack, Bad Juju, Threatpack, Cluck, and maybe some that got lost in the footage icons. That's two over the advertised number already.

If you look closely at the Stormblade, it's clear there's a stats cards underneath it. I hope that picture will stop the "No cards discussion." because I found the discussion a little "weird"

We know that each trophy unlocks two racetracks. They said that there are 12 villains to unlock. Now they did not say specifically that there were only 12 villains. The 12 villains comment was made right after they talked about the 3 trophies. So, this could mean that each racetrack is tied to two villains that can be unlocked. That would be 4 villains per trophy and 12 total for the 3 trophies.

It would stand to reason that if the 6 racetracks unlock 12 villains that the other 6 racetracks that come with the starter box would also unlock 12 villains, for a total of 24 villains (not counting the Kaos trophy of course which could unlock Kaos plus 3 additional villains).

Nice packaging and all, but when you rip it to shreds when you get home...shrug.

Well that pretty much confirms wave 1. I mean, I didnt doubt ya Dark, but seeing these official pack shots is pretty much the final nail in the coffin on that matter.

Did anyone else find it odd that Soda Spitter can go underwater, especially while Spitfire is piloting?

Maybe Elemental Zones inside Vehicle Zones? Interesting idea, I'd be surprised if they didn't do something like that.

To each their own, but there isn't room to stack boxes on the portal. I have boxed figures, and then I have the ones I play with...trust me I like the packaging, but now looking at the small warehouse in the corner of my house and rethinking things...finally. Open em up, or don't buy em.

I'll trust you since I always unbox my figures.

Don't know about Single Player mode but it would definitely become cluttered while playing co-op.
