Just got back from my local GAME where I pre-ordered the dark starter pack. Does anyone know how you get the Giant code? It's a great deal as it is because you get the game, 5 dark landers, LC Hex, a giant, new portal, a poster and the ingame item card for only £84.99!

In the topic I made about this pre-order thing a couple of years ago, I suggested to other members to maybe take a screen-grab of the website just to show when you go and pick up the pre-order.

Also, I'm glad that the free Giants toys are the way they are.

Although I already have one of each character, I'm entitled to one free Giant (from ordering the Dark Edition) and one free Skylander (from ordering the 3DS version).

I have all the Giants; however, I ordered my Thumpback online and was really disappointed to find that although the paintwork was mostly perfect, he had a chip out of one finger. Quite a sizeable one, too. So he's going to be my Giant to see if the replacement is any better.

As for Skylanders, out of the choices there, I'm going for Hex. A bit of a strange choice, admittedly, but I already have at least one of all of the others. The only other contender would be Lightning Rod, but I don't like his S2 pose. I really like the non-Lightcore Hex, but I can't justify paying money for it when I already have the Lightcore version (and two more on the way).

GAME have gone and put up a section on the website that let's you swap characters - like the main website - but it provides a link to the characters that make up the swap.

They all say "coming soon" at the moment, but we could probably expect them to put the characters up in a day or two.

My starter from game isn't shipped yet

I just checked my Game account and they have also shipped my Dark Starter pack! I'm shocked they're shipping it this early. The actual figures are still not up for pre-order yet.

Looking at their FAQ, the normal delivery time is up to 2 working days. My copy got shipped before 1pm, so it might even arrive tomorrow - if not, it'll probably arrive on Wednesday.

Uhh... Asda have pulled a bit of an error. They have a "3 for £16" offer at the moment... Which includes Giants. So, you can buy 3 Giants... For the price of one.

I may need to pop down to Asda!!!

I got the email on the 9th and cant for the life of me remember if I got the game on the 10th or 11th. Earlier than release anyway.

I got my processing email for my 3DS version, but not my Dark Edition (they were on separate orders). The payment has been taken out of my Paypal though pending, so that must mean SOMETHING.

If you pre-order online it looks like we can only get the starter, battle pack and adventure pack... But at least we can play with our old characters!

Not long to wait now at all! I wonder if the rumours of Series 2 Drobot being released here are true. They're already getting wave 2 of SSF in the USA and we haven't finished Giants or started Swap Force :/

I still can't believe there are no figure pre-orders available, it's ridiculous. I can see myself trekking around every supermarket at midnight on Thursday.

Great find! Finally some pre-orders. The price for the triple packs are good considering the singles are almost £11.
Should I buy from this site? I don't know if I can trust Coolshop.

So I probably won't get my Dark Starter for Friday; this is the first time GAME has really let me down and I'm annoyed about it. They've taken my money from Paypal and not processed the order. Seriously, it seems ridiculous; everyone else has got their orders on the way, and I've not.

The 3DS starter looks good to go though!

That sucks Game needs to really sort that out!

well. this site seems to be charging more, i thought the singles would be £8.99 each (i wouldn't pay £11 either!)

I contacted them yesterday and explained the situation, and they said it was under control and was "being processed".

I looked today and it was still marked as "unshipped". I contacted them again and explained this, and they said they couldn't guarantee I'd get it at release.

Needless to say, I'm quite aggravated by it. It won't kill me to not play on release; it's more that they've taken nearly £100 of my money and haven't shipped.

Tomorrow, I'll be calling up and visiting some local stores (GAME, Tesco, Argos etc) and ask if they'll have Swap Force figures on launch day.

This time last year, GAME was the closest store to me that had Skylanders launch day (and that was a half an hour train journey away) but on the release of Infinity, pretty much any store that would have sold the figures actually had the figures at launch so if the same isn't done for Skylanders I'll be disappointed.

Just realised the 18th is Friday... I am meant to be on the motorway to visit family for the weekend!

This means not only will I not get to check out the stores for figures but I won't even get to play the game!
Man. This sucks.

I'm working at my TRU store the night before release to set up the display and stock, TRU stores will open at 8am on release day 18th. Can't wait to unpack all those boxes - setting aside one of each figure of course. We have got additional staff in for Saturday as expecting it to be manic in the games section all day!

So Argos have put up a bunch of blank spaces when you search for "Swap Force" on their website, the same thing happened sometime during Giants release (around about wave 3's release) so I think we can expect the characters to be added tonight/tomorrow morning for pickup on launch.

I'm afraid to say, I've had to write a very strongly-worded email to GAME regarding my pre-order experience. Having shopped with them online for over five years now, I've experienced no problems and any quibbles I've had have been promptly resolved.

My Dark Starter pack still hasn't been processed. Apparently this is because my payment from Paypal got "stuck" and they need to manually process it (funny, given that my other pre-order on the same Paypal account went through just fine). Three times I tried to talk to them about this on their webchat. Twice I wasn't really helped (one person claimed it was being processed and the other didn't have much to say), and the third time I was called the wrong name and then ignored until the chat timed out.

I sent an email this morning to which I got a reply. Apparently, not only is my order going to be late, but because I paid via Paypal, apparently I won't even get the free Giant figure. To top that off, in the reply I received, I was told that people were supposed to put the figure in the same time as the starter pack, not getting a voucher as the site says.

Needless to say, I'm not a happy bunny. I can wait, don't get me wrong, but I shouldn't have to.
