I have been considering the new game's title, Spyro's Kingdom. Many of us react to the title by the word kingdom's common meaning, as a hint that Spyro is in control and is possibly king. I found this definition:

Kingdom: anything conceived as constituting a realm or sphere of independent action or control: the kingdom of thought

What if 'Spyro's Kingdom' is not that of a physical one? What if it refers to a kingdom of Spyro's state of mind. This wouldn't be the first time we have witnessed Spyro's mental state. It doesn't seem likely, but what do you guys think?

Wait? Havent been pleased since YOTD, why? I mean, what was so wrong with A Heroes Tail? Im just kinda puzzled by that.

AHT was alright. I can understand if you don't like LoS, but there were a couple of Spyro games since YotD that were decent.

Yeah, but still the ending could of been better, instead of a just soprano's esqe black screen ending, like with the others there was at least a lengthy ending cutscene to let us know. Ya know?

YOTD is my fave Spyro game. :3

Spyro: A Hero's Tail is the only Spyro game I like that was not developed by Insomniac Games.

The "Pokemon Anime Coma Theory" is a theory(a good one at that) some people have in regards to the entire Pokemon Anime.

I don't even know what the theory is.

Basically, it points out evidence that, after the episode where Ash is hit by lightning, the entire series is set inside Ash's mind, as he is in a coma.

I don't know..... did you see the deleted scene from the Japanese Pokemon(remember, 4Kids censor anything in the animes they get a hold of)?

I think it is a good theory. I'm not sure if I believe it, but some parts make pretty good points. Even if the creators of the show confirmed it wasn't true, if I ever watched Pokemon again, I would go with that mindset (I watched it as a kid, but I think it isn't good now....unless I think about the coma theory).

I don't know, I only watch the Japanese version of the anime, so I wouldn't know exactly what part you're referring to.

Eh, it's a theory, maybe good, but certainly not the type of stunt the Japanese would pull on such a popular kids series (I swear, everyone seems to forget some programs are aimed at kids, even in Japan.....)

And you never know. Storywriters sometimes put hidden things, even hidden morals in their stories. Examples: Sonic Unleashed, Kingdom Hearts 2

Anyway back to Spyro.....ummm....I don't know what I want to say!

Nah, I know Pokemon's creators (not literally, of course ) and I prefer to look at the series from the target audience point of view. Otherwise..... Who's to say the same thing didn't happen in DotD? Spyro's still sleeping......

But yeah, we've pretty much covered what we can on this new game. Show us, Acti already!

Yeah, anyone can interpret a story anyway they want to. When I was playing a DotD playthrough with my friend and when the voices of Spyro and Cynder played when the grublin smashed the crystal, I'll give you two guesses as to how my friend reacted!

Here is the definition of one of kingdom's close synonyms:

Realm: the region, sphere, or domain within which anything occurs, prevails, or dominates: the realm of dreams

Perhaps Spyro's 'kingdom' is merely the setting in which Spyro reacts with. However, in both kingdom and realm, comes the definition of control or domination. What if such domination is of one's self? This is what I am thinking, something like: Spyro's mind has been invaded by this spirit or something, and he is being tested through himself, his kingdom. Sort of like in The Eternal Night when Spyro is being tested through all of the elements to get to the Chronicler. What if Spyro is trying to supress some dark side of him? What if in his own mental state he is facing every foe he has faced in his past, and, if not, himself?

TBH, there isn't such athing as taking a game too seriously, IMO. It's called great passion!

I wonder if this will be the first Spyro game to have a believable "CreepyPasta" story....(Random, I know!)

All Spyro game, besides DOTD have been classed as Platformers, I mean I don't like Action/Adventure in genre terms considering that generally means very little platforming, like DOTD. Platformers are my favourite game genre, and in the Spyro series it's seeming to die...

OH! Okay I misunderstood, sorry. Yeah, I agree. Action/adventure platformer would be sweet if done right, IMO.

Spyro's Kingdom is most likely an AAA title in development. High budget, high quality.

NEW_SpyroLUVA, AAA doesn't necessarily mean you will like it. I hate a lot of AAA games, Call of Duty being an example. However, some AAA games are just amazing, like FFXIII. I'm hoping Spyro's Kingdom turns out like the latter.

If Activision is so secretive about Spyro's Kingdom, and it's an AAA title this could mean that it's one of the many main games they'll probably give more attention too.

Yeah, let's hope so.

In the end, if a game is treated as an 'AAA' title the it's given a lot of attention, a lot of funding towards it to try and make it good... Maybe if they're gonna treat it like this, Spyro could be good in Activision's hands?

The great avatar Spyro, born only once every ten generations, must defeat the Firelord to save the world. Come to think of it, the legend games' settings have been very based on the four dragon elements.
