That's what I was thinking. I think maybe he was startled by all of the attention it brought, and didn't want to risk releasing any information and getting Activision angry.

activision are planning on making the spyro franchise really popular by the looks of it though. Although given the current situation i have my doubts. They're using the same advertising and marketing company that they did for call of duty. And we know how much they love call of duty

I'm still wondering how this person found al this information. I've been doing so much searching, but I can't find ANYTHING. Activision's doing a good job of keeping all the information hidden.. smilie

Anything associated with Activision is almost find-able. I mean, you can simple type in producer Spyro Activision 2010 in google and you'll probably find something through some official source..

When I found out about this I was so happy. The title does worry me. I do not want Spyro to be king. Also I am really hoping that Malefor returns.

maybe spyro won't be king. maybe he has to go around the dragon kingdoms. but whats wrong about him being king?

By the title, I don't think that Spyro is really going to have a Kingdom, but just the game is set in a kingdom that Spyro is in himself...

The title "Spyro's Kingdom"...If it's continuing off of TLoS maybe it's about... like, the world that Spyro saved. And by Spyro's Kingdom, it's referring to the world that he saved and basically created. So basically the world (Spyro's Kingdom) after Spyro saving it. Spyro saved the world, and made it what it is... So maybe they call it "spyro's Kingdom"?

Does that make sense? Mehh, just a thought.

But who knows. We don't even know if it's the official title, so we'll just have to see..

Haha, wieeerd. Yeah, that's the only thing I can think of without Spyro actually having an actual.. kingdom. And it makes sense, to me, at least.

So it probably won't be an RTS, given that it's listed as an Action adventure game. You can't really have an Action/Adventure game if the main character is stuck inside dealing with matters concerning a whole kingdom.

If it were RPG it might have said so, but an RPG can still have Action and Adventure in it.

If it's good, what's so bad about it being canon to the series?

Also, here are some interesting posts I found on Spyro The Dragon Forums regarding the new game. I post them because I think these people have some interesting thoughts and theories.

Maybe it's because their was a fake rumor about a new spyro game called Spyro: Wings of Majesty. They both kind of sound similar.

Franchise - Series - Title

The Wings of Majesty rumor was definitely fake for sure. But this.. this is definitely not a rumor from the information we have on it, from different sources.

Yeah. I'm almost tempted to email Activision telling them all the information we know, and telling them it's no use trying to hide it. But if I did that, I'm afraid they'd keep a closer eye out for leaked information.

Wal-Mart unofficialy announced MAG 2, doesn't mean that Zipper will announce it... Another developer (can't remember who) announced they were making games for the PSP 2, doesn't mean Sony will announce the PSP 2...

Just because something get's leaked, doesn't mean that the developers/publishers will announce it. Sometimes they don't know about the leaks and sometimes they just don't want to ruin the surprise...

I agree, but no chance of changing the past. We have a title now, and all we can do to get more info is seach, be patient, and hope we find something or they make an announcement.

I'd like to know who is developing the game.

It'll be ELB again probably... Especially seeing as they made HTTYD

Poor ELB, had only been involved in 2 franchises before Spyro... Now they're involved in 5, and by the looks of their website the original 2 have been pushed aside...

Spyro's Kingdom... Sounds kinda lame. I think the fan made title "Shades Of Destiny" sounds cool. :3
