The issue has been mentioned time and again with interviews in other companies - QA could've found all these bugs and more, but if there's no time before it goes gold, the issues go ignored unless it's game-breaking, and even then, considering how tight Acti is with schedule.

The nice thing though, is that every console Imaginators is on supports updating, if my memory serves correct. So if Activision wants to update it to get rid of bugs (HA! fat chance) they can.

I posted this a week or so ago, but there's reasons NOT to update (Sony & Microsoft charge a substantial fee for patches--it cost $40K to patch a game simultaneously on Xbox 360 and PS3 in 2012, though I've heard it might be down to about $25K now--and Nintendo might charge as well; console patches to physical games have to be verified by a third party for certification before they can be published, which can take up to 6 weeks... etc).

If there's a MAJOR bug that affects sales, like a repeatable hard game crash or method that corrupts toys through potentially normal use, then they'll patch it and probably get rid of a number of smaller bugs at the same time. Same if they do a content update--kill two birds with one patch. But for things like "Jet Vac's corkscrew power doesn't corkscrew!", "SuperCharger Pop Fizz is using the wrong icon!" and "Legendary Deja Vu's eyes are the wrong color!"... those aren't going to warrant the cost or time/effort/headache to patch out by themselves.

Apparently a few Toys R Us stores broke street date on them. Didn't see anything in the Durham store when I was there Friday morning, and I've heard that the Raleigh store didn't even put out the Black Friday stuff they were supposed to, so I can't tell you where.

But Activision TOTALLY doesn't have billions stocked up...

They can still get stingy, especially if the game doesn't do well. Why care when you can abandon and move your monies to Sky7/the next big thing?

It doesn't matter. NOT fixing these very minor problems costs them $0. Nobody is demanding a refund because Jet Vac doesn't spin and Pop Fizz has the wrong icon, nor are these problems stopping other people from buying the game as-is. But fixing the problems costs greater than $0, so it won't happen.

Like I said--if something that costs them money to NOT fix pops up, or if they decide to patch for additional content, then it's extremely likely the minor issues will get fixed at the same time. Activision couldn't give a flying flip, but I guarantee Toys for Bob wants their product to be as damn near to perfect as they can make it, so if the occasion comes and allows for a fixing the little things, they'll sneak it in underneath the big things.

So I found Mystical Bad Juju, thought I'd share that here.
I've bought her first three upgrades and so far she's not that great. Pretty hard to control and her blades are rather slow and weak. The second attack, sending out junior, has a very low range and really doesn't do all that much damage. I've been basically spamming the third attack, which is shooting lightning bolts at junior, which is fast and strong. I'm sure she'll get better, but for now I'm rather disappointed.

I saw Moana today and afterwards I went go gamestop and found the Crash Cortex pack, so I say W3 is pretty much here

Are you sure, Bifrost? I would think, in Kaos's case, it's more of a brain fart than a seizure. If he truly had a brain, Kaos would've conquered Skylands long time ago.

God forbid Kaos ever taking responsibility for his failures. Nope. He blames his minions, Glumshanks or, in this case, Brain.
Same with The Darkness in TT. His ego and overconfidence lead to his downfall. Plus Kaos betraying him.

Lookit all the Spyro fans cheering in the video. If Skylanders 7 is revealed next year, they'll be mad again. Not taking this, since this is still just a possibility.

Eh, if it ends it ends. At least Imaginators was a great game to end on. If it continues, then I'll be buying it as well. But there's no denying that the franchise has lost a huge amount of its momentum over recent years.

I was never expecting a full 2017 release anyway. I figured they'd either go with DLC add-on packs for Imaginators (like Lego Dimensions is doing for their "season 2") for a year or so, or else they'd do an HD re-release of Spyro's Adventure and Giants (that hopefully worked with the new toys, but would be a great opportunity to offload old toys if not)... ways to keep milking the franchise without spending the money for developing a full title.

Imagine not getting a full game in 2017. Acti instead advertises more additional DLCs for Imaginators and later the second season of Academy.

I can live with no new game in 2017, I just hope its not the end for skylanders...

He seems to say he's getting a lot of information that development has been shut down and that there are no current plans to produce any Skylanders games in the immediate future. As of now there is no new big Skylanders game set for development.

Apparently Liam leaked the gimmick of SuperChargers before it was revealed and his sources have been legit. But I'm still skeptical, since he has posted a possibility video on Skylanders "cancellation".

I can TOTALLY LIVE without a new Skylanders game in 2017 next year, and maybe a 2018 game is planned instead. Plus we have season 2 of Academy to look forward to as well.

But if it was a single year break, I'd be thrilled, especially since I could slow down on buying. But that's long-term-positive stuff Sony, Ubisoft, or Nintendo do, not Acti. Activision kills its own opportunities like they kill this franchise's marketing.

If they do allow Skylanders to have a year break, at least I won't be spending too much. And I could get a chance to let other games I play shine in the spotlight on YT for once

Same - between Mystical Bad Juju and Breath of the Wild, I feel like my brain has made the wrong choice. Affording both would be great, with no starter pack to drain my savings.

Buut... Cancelling development, especially after a whole year, doesn't sound so optimistic.
