for Vine Vertuoso, dosnt the vines "home in" on the target?
wouldn't that make them tons better then Bone Brambles?

Technically, yes. But the melons only do 12 damage, as where the Bone Brambles do 17. That being said, I still prefer vines over Bone Brambles. Vines go WAY farther than Bone Brambles.

^Kinda.

But If you're on platform it just screws everything up.

And sometimes the Vines old hit Once or Twice.

I find that the vines hit multiple times, but I think the Vine Virtuoso is fine in B Tier, to be honest. I'm worried about S2 Battledozer being rated WAY too low. It is a HIGHLY underrated path. The Future Cannon combined with highly spammable MIRV-Drill Rockets, causes trouble for almost every lower tier character. He is SO versatile on this path.

As I said, I am still waiting on more opinions on the following possible tier movements:
S1 Chop Chop / Undead Defender down to E Tier.
Warnado / Wind Master up to D Tier.
S2 Drill Sergeant / Battledozer up to C Tier.

The sort of information I feel I need before I can move them is information about how well they actually compete with the tiers they would be moving in to. Right now, all I have are reasons why they should move out of the tier they are currently in.

Understandable! smilie I recently tried Megadozer Drill Sergeant, and I must say, it is definitely worth its spot in S Tier. It is truly as great as a keep-away artist as Tashiji made it feel. Excellent, excellent build.

He was kind of underrated in SA. Once people got good with his hit and run/kiting tactic he could really frustrate the hell out of characters like Voodood, Boomer, and even Tree rex!

Yes, I agree. I admit, that even I underestimated him. I thought he would be crap, but he's astonishingly good!

EDIT: Just got Legendary Jet-Vac loose at Just Press Play, and he looks SICK! Awesome, awesome, detail and a great paint job. I'm going to go Bird Blaster, and use him mostly for Story Mode.
~~~
I just tried Bird Blaster Jet-Vac; he's pretty good! Fantastic in Story Mode! Now as for PvP, probably not as good, as you need to suck up enemies, not just damage them with the vacuum to charge up the Super Shot. He's pretty cool! I like him! Now how about some more opinions about Wind Master and S1 Undead Defender? smilie
I've yet to buy any of the Megadozer upgrades with my S2 'Sarge, but I'm already finding him pretty spectacular on the Battledozer path!
In story mode he's brilliant fun for delivering massive burst damage to small clusters of enemies when they stand at the right distance to get hit by all the mini-rockets at once (with added damage from the Futurecanon just for fun). In PvP, the Futurecanon alone acts as a wonderful tool for softening opponents by dealing slow-burn DPS that builds up over time, especially on opponents who don't pay enough attention to their health. Of course, because the Futurecanon auto-aims, it combines beautifully with keep-away manouvers.
That's just my couple of cents on 'Sarge, anyway. smilie
Yes. Anchor's a yay makes Thumpback a powerful ranged character with high HP. Just spam the anchor all day, and ocassionally throw in a power swing combo. Avoid the whirlpool combo though, as it is extremely clunky and will put you open for a good beating. Sonic boom goes good with Medea griffin as well, because the wow pow favors it.
Poor low-tiered Trigger Happy. I am kind of surprised Gill Grunt's S1 form is so low tiered. He was my main dude in the game.
I notice S2 Undead Defender Chop Chop is S tier, but S1 Undead Defender Chop Chop is only D tier. How greatly was Undead Defender buffed in Giants?
Don't get me wrong, I DO love Lightning Rod and Warnado, but their attacks (especially Warnado) are kinda clunky and slow.
WARNADO: His shell spin is really slow now in Giants. Not even worth using, especially since it only does 17 damage. His Mini-Warnadoes barely aim at all anymore, and just fly at walls, and such. Plus, you know you have a problem when your strongest attack only does 40 damage, moves crazy slow, and is easily avoidable. Low Damage Output, above-average health, and lousy attacks just add up to an average character. I love his concept, but he's just so weak.
LIGHTNING ROD: I really try to like him. I really do. But I just struggle to, because none of his attacks stand out, or do insane damage, or even high damage for that matter, and both paths are fundamentally flawed. On Lightning Lord, he becomes a one-trick pony, and he isn't good at it either. 26 damage fully upgraded? It can be interrupted, and moves rather slowly. It's just, a meh attack, and doesn't warrant a whole path about it. His other path, however, is just average. The flaw with this path is that HE IS WAY TO SLOW TO EVER BE ABLE TO USE HIS CLOUDS! Plus, they are small and only do 12 damage. His electric field slows him down even more than it should, and only does 18 damage. When combined, that 28 damage is just not enough to outdamage any melee, which is supposed to be his strength (other than maybe Vampiric Warrior Chop Chop.) His Wow Pow is rather decent, though, as that crazy rapid 14 damage can really put a dent into the opposition's health, and does indeed work as a decent melee repellent.
*****
Overall, I really want to like Lightning Rod, and I'll keep trying to, but for now, he just pails in comparison to, say, Whirlwind. She, in my opinion, is the best Air Element (right next to Swarm, of course.)
To make a long story short: To be good with Lightning rod, you really need to use all of his attacks together. He's a jack of all trades character that not many people seem to do well as.
Warnado: Try playing keep away with him. If you are on Eye of the storm, he does well at that. Also, you said that he has mediocre health. However, he actually has MORE health than most characters. In fact he only has less than Stump smas and the giants. I forget how much he as at level 15, but I know he has 620 at level 10 which is actually really good.
Now that I think of it, that's exactly how Eruptor works, too. In game, Eruptor seems kind of weak since his attacks don't do much damage by themselves, but can rack-up combined.
Trigger Happy's Golden Frenzy is on the bottom of the list? Are you kidding me? I've done both paths, and Golden Frenzy is definitely not the worst out there. I just spam up the screen with coins, and that yamato blast may take a bit of charge up time, but if you can do it then it's worth it!
^ The problem isn't his damage, it's the damage-to-HP ratio. Trigger Happy's game-worst HP and lack of means to defend himself amount to a character who would need to do tremendous damage to compete. As it stands, since the Yamato Blast charges forever and is easily interrupted, he only does decent damage, and tends to fizzle out before the competition in my experience. Results are known to vary from household to household, but what happens in Golden Frenzy's matches for Vhraina and I is a whole lot of losing, even to characters he would easily beat with just a little more HP on his side. For us anyway, the results do match the placement, but again, individual results vary.
#2398 Posted: 17:07:42 25/05/2013
Why is Trigger Happy's S2 Golden Frenzy version in D tier? Is the wow pow really enough to get him above the low scorers?
Tashiji Yellow Sparx Gems: 1453
#2399 Posted: 17:21:13 25/05/2013
Fine line I think. It does come in handy against the type of character he would battle in the low tiers; lumbering, slow, can't close in on him fast enough to avoid it, etc. The type of character you would be able to use the machine gun against easily. The Wow Pow blast itself is pretty okay if you can use it without being interrupted. It covers a wide area and can hit more than once with a little luck.
It's a matter of looking at E-tier and thinking of who he would actually lose against consistently. For me, that's Battledozer Drill Sergeant, who may even be a D-tier guy himself if we ever did the testing, and nobody else. The Wow Pow can literally be the reason he beats characters like Magmantor, Wind Master, Clobber Troll, and others that he would be evenly matched against without that ability. A very slight advantage where, without it, there would be no advantage.
Sure, he is probably among the worst characters in D-tier, but it's fundamental that the worst character in D-tier still has a better winning percentage than the best character in E. Personally, I do support the one-tier difference here, slight though it may be. There's a point where a character just barely squeaks by to the next tier, and for Golden Frenzy, I can accept that the Wow Pow (situated though it may be) is that point. But mine definitely isn't the only opinion on the matter.
