It was listed on Amazon at one point - not sure if it is anymore - but apart from that we don't know. That doesn't mean it's not coming to the UK ever though, since none of the figures are listed on any UK retailers yet. It'll probably be a GAME/Gamestation exclusive.

I recieved the Smyths Toys catalogue this morning and that was in it. Not available to preorder online yet though. Also the writing above the picture says that the cannon is a battle/magic item. This tells me that it will unlock a battle arena as well as be a magical item, like ghost swords. Sounds alright I suppose. Not as good as an adventure pack but at least you get two characters.

Confirms a Pop Fizz, Whirlwind, Trigger Happy triple pack. Also its probably Wave 1 due to it being advertised.

I have a question about the pre-order of the starter pack with the glow in the dark portal. If we import the UK starter pack will it also come with the GITD Cynder and will the figures work with the US version of Skylanders Giants game?

It is more a PAL versus NTSC thing than a region thing.

Oh, yeah, for Sony it will surely be a region lock thing but for XBox and Wii more likely a refresh thing.

GAME/station will only ship overseas if the package is under a certain weight.

And what certain weight would that be?

Dunno but they will ship two starter packs as that is what I ordered.

I know. I wasn't trying to say that it is a UK exclusive, just that in the UK you can only get it from Smyths.

Then why not bite the proverbial bullet, pre-order it from the U of K, and simply dump the game when you get it?

I'd prefer to just buy GITD Cynder by herself separately

I'm risk adverse - once the pre-orders close, that ship has sailed. There is then no high water mark for the potential price people could ask.

Whereas, I would see a price set in stone with potential for re-coup by reselling items I would not want.

Nothing official yet but given the prices for other upcoming Wii U titles (compared to their XBox/PS3 equivalents), expect to pay 10-15 monetary units more.

I did find the Wii U starter pack on one site and had it listed but I removed when only one site had it. I'll see if I can find it again.

It should do IAmMarti, but please bear in mind that only Gamestation have confirmed the GITD Cynder with a photo, I've yet to see a similar confirmation from GAME itself.

All Gamestations are being rebranded GAME by the end of october I believe..... *Sigh* I'll take the plunge and preorder.

There is something in the law about a 14 day "cooling off period" for Internet purchases. Failing that when it arrives, if it doesn't has the GITD Cynder keep the box sealed and return it.

I'm thinking of holding on the my Wii Booster from Sainsburys and using it as trade in (minus the Club Nintendo stars) against the Wii U version. If however the trade-in price is significantly lower than what I have paid, I will simply return the sealed item to Sainsburys Entertainment.

Going to stick with buying it on PS3...from what I hear the Wii U version doesnt add anything significant. Also I'm unsure if I were to change game version if it will count my figures to my collection, as it doesnt on the ps3 and pc copy of spyros adventure. Maybe it registers to the first home console game used.

^Have you tried going into the "Ownership" menu, from what I can gather you can change the ownership of a figure in SA as many times as you want with no negative side effects.


EDIT: Back on topic, I spoke nicely to the chaps in Gamestation today (while doing a Keldeo download for a Dublin friend) and they gave me the advertising box with the GITD Cynder. I have only scanned the back as that had the most information, the same text that is on the front is also worrying me.

Can users near a GAME store please contact them to see if this is exclusive to just Gamestation or if it is available in GAME stores please? My nearest GAMEs are out in Catford or Bexleyheath and I really don't have the time free this week to wander around.

I was back in Gamestation Lewisham today (changed my 3DS Starter preorder to Wii Starter for the GITD extras) and got a peek and the staff's list. For £5 they will take pre-orders on figures, however (at this store anyway), they can't guarentee a specific character you just get to cherry pick from what they have on day one.

I wouldn't advise buying the preowned/new games to trade in until a couple of days before Skylanders release as the list of tradeable games may change.

I would assume that this is instore credit so you will still need the £64.99 on your card to pay for it originally, but you end up only spending £28.99 (approx) and you will recieve £59/£64 back making you a profit of £35.01 to spend on Skylanders toys or Wii U thingamebobs.

Another thing to note on this Game offer is it only applies to the XBOX360 and PS3 versions only (it's in the small print) although they don't state weither it applies to Boosters or Starter packs

The deal means this:

You buy the game online at £59.99.

You trade in, for example, Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 and Skyrim on PS3 and receive £59 in-store trade-in value. Thus making your total costs 99p.

I'd probably do this if there was still a GAME in Exeter... just Gamestation.

Maybe they'll be a GAME by the time Giants comes out... ahah.

I verified it with the store owner. It will be the Legendary version.
