Previously, I had gotten a reply from Rebecca Kneubal, Yannick Corboz, and now Neil Wood *is happy* Uhh so, Anyway..
Well I guess there's nothing i can ask considering what he told me.
If I ask something, I probably won't get a reply. I sent him a message saying I'm looking forward to see how the game turns out and to see Spyro be brought back (at least featured) in a game for the first time since way back in 2008. I forget exactly what i said, but that pretty much sums it up. I doubt he'll reply. -Yeah, i won't. But I'm still glad i got a reply in the first place!

In regards to the camera thing....what Kimbia said.

If you pay attention to all the footage we've seen thus far, the camera is fixed but not always in the "top down" manner. I'm guessing it's going to be like LoS where you had no control over where the camera went but it'll give you a fair idea of what's coming up (which was a shame because I always wanted to look around in games like that).

And I agree it's kinda pity cus from some screenshots that are taken to just show the environment and not the chars look pretty nice(especially the skies @_@) ,and if the camera is fixed to that semi-birds perspective angle ,we wouldn't be able to look up and around D:
Which kinda removes the adventurous/exploring feeling... cus you see almost everything in your path from above (and plus I never really liked the top view camera angle in general xP,tho it depends on the genre of the game etc...)
I can sorta understand this cus of multiplayer...but if they could add an option to place the camera into 3rd person view when solo that'd be really great :3 cus I could totally imagine one of those top view screenshots in 3rd person view xD aah imagination @o@...

If the camera doesn't let you view an area, odds are there is nothing to be found. I've used glitches and hacks to get to areas like that in many games, including Spyro, but there is often nothing there.

Not everyone looks around in a game to find things. One of the only nice things I have left to say about LoS is how pretty the scenery was and how it bothered me to no end that I couldn't just go into a first-person mode and look at it. That's one feature I miss from the older games, certainly, but it may be something game makers and players both take for granted.

You could do that fine in LoS.....and again, the skydome and random clutter is all that's usually in off camera areas.

Really? I've replayed the first two LoS games several times and could never just stand still and get a good first-person look at the environments like I could in the older Spyro games. (Couldn't even wander around to get a look at things in DotD with it's horrid camera, but I couldn't bring myself to replay that one so I guess it doesn't matter.)

I thought DotD had the best camera of any Spyro game. But I will discuss this camera crap at another place and at another time.

On-topic, I wonder if the levels for Skylanders will be very large? They seem small so far, but maybe that's because there will be a lot of them.

They probably have level expansion, maybe larger than the levels in DotD.

I had problems moving the camera in LoS too. I wanted a close up of Spyro dancing, but you had to move Spyro to get blocked in just to view it, so if Skylanders fixes that, I'll be even more happy!

Yet another update on the same day (2/18/11), this update mostly focuses on the "Playable Characters" section -

• [MAIN]: Added link about a Toys "R" Us page, special page about the game/product.
  
• PLAYABLE CHARACTERS: 6 new characters have been sighted, marked with "[NEW!]". 19/32 characters seen, yet 5 still have the full info, and 9 have yet to receive an official name...!
  
• PLAYABLE CHARACTERS: Names of the playable characters/links to images of the character have given a bold text - more nicer that way.
  
• PLAYABLE CHARACTERS: More than a couple of movesets have a link to an image showing how the action is seen.
  

The bird dragon is a mythical creature known as a griffin (gryphon, griffon...there are around 40 ways or so to spell it ).

No, it's actually really a red feathered dragon. A griffon wouldn't have a snout and underbelly of a reptile. :3

A black griffon is seen in the teaser trailer when the toys are shown.

Huh. The pic I saw of the creature showed a griffin (black feathery body and yellow beak). I didn't see the black dragon with a yellow belly.

Oh I thought you meant the red feathered dragon shown on the official Toys R Us site of Skylanders.

No, that wasn't the one I was talking about. It was this:
"dark blue bird/dragon? - note the yellow beak"

The image it links to in the character info post is a griffin. I'm pretty good at telling the difference between a red dragon and a black griffin, I like to think.

Griffons are half eagle half lion, and yeah they do have yellow beaks. The only griffon I've seen so far was the black one seen on the teaser trailer.

That's the one I was referring to before, but I don't think that character has been revealed yet, has it? I think it's a dragon of some sort

That wooden guy to the left of Spyro reminds me of those enemies in Ripto's Rage. Uhh, I forgot the world, but I'm sure you remember. Since the first time I saw them, those guys came to mind.

Stealth Elf is pretty much a chibi version of a night elf female rogue(but just green)

(I tried to make a similar lookin char) they both even got glowing silverish eyes.
plus you can get a really similar looking armor in the game and that mask.
Gill Grunt reminds me of a gorloc =/

and that feathered dragon looks a lil' bit like a Wind Serpent


and since Activision and Blizzard (the makers of WoW) merged companies....hmmm...

Just look next to that high white thing on the wall to the left of and behind Trigger Happy. What I'm reffering to is mostly next to, but a little behind that.
