It's a bit annoying, but makes replaying the game more interesting in my opinion.
Yeah, I guess in that sense, it's probably not that big of a deal, unless Imaginator data somehow doesn't carry over to all save files.
Plus there'll probably be some people who will get them, whether through datamining or just starting a new file like you said.
