New Spyro game? [CLOSED]

I wasn't referring to Spyro, but if you want my opinion on Spyro:

Classic style should be non-linear. This is why I don't like levels such as the Skelos Badlands.
LoS can go either way. I enjoyed TEN even though it was mostly linear, but I also enjoyed DotD, which was quite open ended, and objective based, rather than being a point A to B affair.

Here are some ideas I have about what the next game could be like:

Assuming it's LoS:
1) An RPG. I already outlined some ideas for this on page 2 of the "Create your own Spyro game" thread, but I can repost here if anyone want's me too.

2) Gameplay similar to DotD, but not level by level. Instead, make the world like AHT's in terms of scale. Make some open areas made for flying, aerial combat and exploration, while make some indoor areas based more around platforming, puzzles and ground combat. It would still be a co-op game.

Also, a "race" system would be interesting. In the Dragon race, we could have Spyro and Cynder and gameplay as stated above. In the Cheetah race, we could have Hunter and say, Chief Prowlus. Gameplay could be Assasin's Creed-esque. In the Mole race, we could have Mason and another mole. Gameplay could be based around using gadgets like bombs and what not, and maybe some stuff related to digging.

Assuming it's Classic Style:
1) Pull off a "Sonic 4"!

2) Make power ups a big part of it.

I like the ideas for LOS.

IDk what you mean by sonic 4, but IMO, if it's the old style make it like the old.

By "Pull a Sonic 4", I meant make it like the old ones, but give every single level it's own twist.

Oh, and I forgot to add this for LoS, but it would be cool to see moves from AHT, like the pole swing and vertical wall kick, make a return.

My brother told of a game called Dark Cloud, and PS2 hack and slash game with a town building element to it.

The story sounds like something that could very likely be in Spyro's Kingdom. A boy who travels the globe rebuilding cities that have been destroyed by the main villain. I also like the idea of collectable city parts; it's a nice scavenger hunting/mandatory collectalbe element which has been absent from Spyro for far too long. I also like the idea of fulfilling requests on how to build the cities to recieve extras; also reminiscent of old Spyro.

I just had an epic idea for the next game!

How about, instead of/along with building towns as you go through the actual game, you can build your own cities and things to go in them which you can share online? You could earn new buildings to put in your own cities, and also earn mod tools to use in the city maker as you go. You could maybe buy exclusive purchase only parts and mod tools, and make cities which are unlike any in the game (ie. futuristic, robot inhabited cities). Maybe you could also earn new locations to use in the city maker (ie. deserts, underwater, space) by doing things in game, or you could buy online. Then when you share them online, you could explore other people's cities and people could explore yours. You could also add modes of transportation to take you places faster, like trains, boats, flying saucers, etc.

What do you think?

I know this is off topic but you think Activision is pulling spyro from the websites and what not maybe because nintendo is suppose to release it sometime next year. I think they might show it next year in E3 but i heard nintendo is working on something very secretive, apparently its for sure HD but not sure what else is gonna be improved. You never know guys it would make sense to halt off the spyro project for now seeing as the wii hardware will be out of date soon and just revamp the game on the Wii 2.

Trust me, it'll help you when you start looking for college.

Anyways....

What I want in Spyro's Kingdom is...
1) Portals
2) Bianca, Elora, etc.
3) A better plotline that's not cliche

Could be. The rumors state that there may be an HD Wii in 2011.

Question: Is it possible to play burned disks on a Wii? If so, how?

@SpyroxCynder: I'm in secondary school, and I am quite good at art(at least people say I am). I recently taught myself how to use GIMP 2.0, and I hope to get a drawing tablet for Christmas. I am in Transition Year(a special, optional year where students get more diverse and useful subjects) and Art is a mandatory subject, but I am actually self-taught.

I also learned how to animate on GIMP and I plan to make some fanfics and Youtube videos. I also have a 3D game and animating application, but I still have to learn how to use it.

You can check out some of my work on deviantART.

@NEW_SpyroLUVA: I like that idea you have there!
Also, I have a hacked Wii, which can be used to play burned games. However, when I got Super Mario Galaxy 2, the update that came with it removed the Homebrew channel from my Wii. However, the other components are still there.

If you ever were to get your Wii hacked, you, or whoever is hacking it, would need the game "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess" to do it.

Meh, a spyro game with motion controls does sound fun, but then they should have an option to use a regular controller.

Me: "WHHHAAAAAT!!??!?"

Me: "Noooo....wait, do you mean Sonic Free Riders?"

My uncle did it all for me and for the method he used, you will need Twilight Princess, as there are hidden files on the disc needed for this method.

If by "pay for the software" you meant Twilight Princess, then yes, I happened to have bought the game when I got my Wii.
If you meant the software he uses to perform the hack, then I doubt he paid for it, if he even needs a particular software.

I will ask my uncle about everything next time I see him. I will get back to you on it ASAP, via PM.
He also hacked my Xbox 360 and my PSP. He has hacked his own PS3, but I'm not sure if I will get mine hacked.

It could be a possiblity that activision got some word of the Wii 2 for sure making an appearance next year so they might of held off the spyro project to have this game be made for the Wii 2 and be one of the first games to play that console alone, i would think thats smart, because people who have that console off the bat would have very few choices of games to play and if spyro is one of the few that some people may know or not know depending how interesting it may look as a trailer people may buy it, because of the few selection in games then after people play it and its good spyro maybe revived again because more different people have played it and will expect a sequel to it.
