Just got 3 Dark Spyros @ Tesco, 1 for my son & 2 for his friends, thats the lot now!

I'm still kind of annoyed by this move, although I guess seven or eight months is a long enough "exclusivity" period. But it annoys me even more that he wasn't in my Tesco! I know I don't need him, but it aggravates me when stores have "exclusives", but not all of their shops get them.

If they have an exclusive they should flood all stores with them in order to saturate the market before the exclusivity ends. It's just good marketing.

If I were Tesco I'd make every effort to let every Sylanders fan in the country get the exclusive item so that by the time it's no longer an exclusive everyone would have already bought it from me... and to do that they'd need to send them to all stores... I mean how much effort would it take to make sure every store gets at least one box of 6? And then because it's a single style box they would know exactly how many were being sold and just send them out to the ones that had demand (which you can't do with the "selection" style boxes that most Skylanders come in at the moment). After a suitable length of time any that haven't sold in the smaller stores could be redistributed to the busier ones.

I remember having the issue with Drill Sergeant, and I ended up eBaying him because our ASDA didn't carry any Skylanders whatsoever. You'd think even if the store didn't carry the rest of the figures, they'd at least stock the exclusives.

Sometimes you have to wonder that such huge multi-national companies can make such daft decisions... I guess it's because it really doesn't matter to them, the entire profits from Skylanders to Asda and Tesco are probably less than 0.0000001% of their total profits.

I got my dark spyro today in tescos. Just need wham shell now.

my local Tesco (Dereham) had about 6 wham shells and about 4 dark spyro's as well as pretty much everything else except for some reason no adventure packs

I picked up a Camo at HMV and a Warnado at Tesco. There were also a few wham-shells in tesco aswell.

I saw Dragon's Peak, Empire of Ice and a lot of singles in HMV in Chester the other day. I'm still waiting for my Dragon's Peak to come from play.com it's been two weeks now since I got the e-mail to say it was posted.

I saw a huge wall of Skylanders at Smyths the other day. They had tons! No wave 4 or 5, but lots and lots of wave 3, and triple packs. Saw them at HMV, and Toymaster are starting to sell Skylanders as well.

I'm actually going to cry.

My friend that's at E3 has managed to pick me up a Silver Spyro.

Good catch , it helps to have friends in bigh places If at all possible see if they can grab the Sidekicks (also known as Skylanders Babies), they have been a available at E3, no idea where though...

Yeah I saw them too. Duno if people are getting either/or. I dont want to ask if he managed to get both. I'm happy either way

Did someone found in UK any of the silver, gold or glow versions?

Sorry if it was spoken here before, but I'm not willing to read all that was written here to find that out.

May be so, but you must not forget to check were the seller post to, and if you do so, you'll end up with very few that post outside UK. And that's no use for me.
And the money they ask for!... well above the prices they payed in stores. There's no way I'll pay the above €60 or €70 they ask for a skylander.

what i was meaning to say was that previous waves had very few variants that had been found in the uk but the last wave has had a lot more ... i didn't check where sellers will ship to though

There's a guy in Ireland selling a Gold Chop-Chop for €50, rediculous price if you ask me. If you are buying through eBay, even of the listing states UK only, still email the seller to ask if she/he will ship to Portugal. With tracking on the package there is no reason why they should not post an item to you if you are willing to pay more for the shipping. It does not hurt to try

I think you mean trying. A lot of stores are having trouble selling the old one(Bash, Chop Chop etc.). The last two waves are still relatively hard to find-although you could probably get them online if you could be bothered.

You can get Dark Spyro at Tesco Entertainment.com. I know it is .com, but it is a UK website and they do free UK delivery. That is also an easy way to get Camo, Warnado, and Wham-Shell. I got my Wham-Shell for about £6.79.

What I find weird is that Warnado will be dispatched 'next working day'. Camo will get here in 4-6 weeks.

4-6 weeks means they don't have it in stock. That's what happened when I ordered EOI from GamingZap back in February-and that arrived just a few days ago. You'd be better off getting Camo from somewhere else. Sorry for the letdown. Warnado is in stock though.

Best place for variants such as gold/siver/ice/gitd? Check my local tesco atleast once a week and toys r us once a fourtnigh game and hmv whenver i'm passingt? no luck

From what I know, you won't find the older variants in shops any more (like the Gold and Silver). Couldn't help otherwise, I'm afraid!

The only way to get variants is simple:

• Buy from eBay
  
• Work in the shop and open every single Skylanders delivery box
  
• Know someone in a shop who will do the above
  

It has been known that some variants have hit the shop floor, but it's very rare, especially as staff have figured out that variants make money. That's the sad truth I'm afraid.

I would like to find a variant in store, heck every time I see some Skylanders I check for variants. Still not seen any in my 5 month search...

I would hapilly buy on ebay if they weren't 100£ a piece! lol Oh well

You can still get the Ice and GiTD variants, but you're going to need to go to every store when they get their shipments in, and be like a scalper or GM. Sorry-but there's no other way really.

I'm kinda in a bit of a rut with Skylanders... I want to buy more but I don't want to waste money on series 1 when series 2 will be out (at least partly) in 3-4 months...

I keep thinking I should try selling some of my series 1 Skylanders before they become obsolete and worthless... *sigh*

Yeah I know what you mean I dont know if I can be bothered for that reason. I'm not far off the set but there is only really 2 more I'm interested in which are Drobot and Camo so I have all the dragons....But then there is all the new repose models and I dont know what to do =/ I think I want all of the giants, dragons, and undeads....all comes down to money though really and I dont see myself being in a great financial place to buy buying skylanders for the rest of the year.

I can't see myself selling my Series 1. Thing is, I don't believe they will improve the quality of the paint jobs in time for Giants, and I'm going to have plenty enough new characters to not need the remodels.
