You're not the only one that loves Spyro. Hell, if it wasn't for Spyro and 4 other franchises, I wouldn't be a gamer today.

You don't need all of the toys to play the game. You can simply buy the starter pack and you're set for life. The other toys are only if you want to play as the other characters.

It's a reboot. Just like how LoS was a reboot. Don't you remember when LoS was coming out? Everyone was complaining about how Hunter, Byrd, Elora, and others weren't going to be in it. And look what happened. We all liked the new characters. Iggy, Cynder, Volteer. How's about you give the game a chance. Who knows, maybe you'll like the new characters here.

Please note this: The only time and reason that adults went anywhere near the games were with DotD when Cynder got the new design. Then we had the slew of fanart. Spyro never attracted adults until Cynder started doing it for them.

I've soaked in Spyro games all my life, and this looks very close to the originals. Who gives a crap that the design is different? When you get a new developer/animator, designs are going to change.

And don't talk to me about how you were born when Spyro came out. I was born one year ahead of time. Sure, the first game I played was Sonic 2, but I loved my PS1 to death, as well as Spyro. I'm as big of a fan as you are, if not more.

The IGN preview states that Activision plans to release the toys for a price that's under $10. So my guess is that they shall sell for about $5-$7.

Well good bye spyro on my part. I still dont understand how this game is really spyro related. I dont see how a storyline came emerge from this, plus it aint a complete spyro game without sparx. Yeah alot of people complained about the new series of spyro but the games had a sense of spyro's roots, now i dont even know how to think this game is spyro related, it feels like the sense of his roots have gone away. Im still gonna be a spyro fan but this troubles me alot. yeah the art style changes with new developers and animators, but it shouldnt be that far off. Spyro looks like a dragon like troll. Oh well it is what it is, hope this game is a spinoff.

This! Except, I kinda like his design. It's cute. But he kinda looks like he's made in Spore. But still cute. But... I don't know right now. :/

Things tend to get discounted when the real money maker is other things (e.g. printers are discounted so they can sell you over-priced ink).

Hmm... The game actually doesn't sound too horribly bad after reading some reasoning. Besides, the game is still in development, so there's a chance they'll revamp or modify his design somewhat. And damn that's a pretty cheap price for something game related. :)

It might change...then again...maybe not. It still looks fun though.

To be honest, I'm not very excited about this game yet.

First off, it looks very kiddish. Now I know the original games were directed to the younger audience but they are not little kid games. I know adults who enjoy playing original Spyro. This new Skylanders game though, It looks like something I would buy for my little cousin.

This is based just off of what I've seen so far though. I need more information and if I see some good previews I might change my mind about it.

I'm confident Spyro's got his own game in the near future, and this is to recruit fans, you could say, since he's only a cameo. Who knows where he'll go after this? In this game it says we have to help each character who is stuck in our world as toys, back to theirs. My thought is once we finish that mission-this game, we'll actually see Spyro in whatever Universe Activision has put him in.

Yeah, i'm aware. It's obviously aiming Spyro at younger kids, but i have a feeling there'll be another game in the near future where Spyro's the main character, not just featured within the title and a playable character along with 30 others.

Yeah I would hope this is just something to get him up to speed and then make a actual spyro game, that revolves solely on him. Because heck theres a new game coming out that involves jak & daxter, ratchet and clank and sly cooper as well so Im hoping this game is just a spin off, but then again it could be for the long run....

Hi Aura, I am going to watch this games development and probably try it. It do lock like it have the feel of the original in some way but what I don't like is all the other characters, partly Spyros design and that they are selling us toys.
