Watching the racing portion of one of the livestreams(well I'm not going to stay for spoilers,of course), and apparently there's some portal lag and sometimes you can end up with the last characters you had in the portal and not current ones. Might be because they were switching too fast or an actual glitch.

SkylandersGame just posted the trailer for Skylanders SuperChargers Racing, which most of us already saw.

and I officially say this

They finally did it. They finally made it so that you don't have to talk to Persephone repeatedly to get upgrades. This alone makes it the best Skylanders game.

Initial thought: Huge disappointment.

I tried the PS4 version first and thought the controls when steering were really off. Left turns the car right, but then other times left turns the car left? WTF.

Then I turned on the Wii version. Holy hell that game is basically broken. There's no way to turn off tilt steering?!

Hoping I'm missing something....feeling shockingly disappointed at the moment...

If you turn the controls to the other setting, it becomes much easier. Your vehicle controls like a normal Skylander like that.

No! He's far more charismatic, entertaining, sinister, awesome etc. I could go on all day! He turned into my favorite NPC/Villain a few minutes ago.

The Wii U version has been working fine. The controls aren't buggy at all.

This. Do NOT leave them on the default controls. I don't even know why they included those controls at all. An open adventure-styled segment should not control like a racing segment.

Button vs. Button or Stick?

Also, how do you change controls for the Wii version (NOT Wii U)? All I see is inverting up and down.

To do those people who wanted Thrillipede to fly with butterfly wings, he doesn't.

He summons tons of butterflies to help him fly, though.

Brownie points for Superchargers. Was playing through and I uttered an audible YES.
Probably doesn't matter for some, but I was extremely pleased. I'm not too sure if it's even a spoiler, but what the hay. That alone made me grin.
...I've got an unhealthy obsession with those guys.

Also, magic items from past games are only legendary treasure unlocks now

Just got done playing Superchargers for like 5 hours lol!

Tried out the racing, supercharger challenges, 2 of the levels so and so. Seriously I can go on and on! I did a lot. My thoughts on the game? Incredible. I even raced as Kaos and let me just say. OVERPOWERED.

Anyway I love the game.

It may be just be but these loading screens seem incredibly long (Sometimes 30 seconds!)

I soooooo want this game, but I have to wait until christmas. I did, however, open my Dark Wii pack (not playing the game yet), and the figures fell amazing. I really hope I can restrain myself until christmas.

Wow...they actually nerfed Big Bang Trigger Happy's wow pow. Just....why? I was really hoping they'd buff it, since it's an awesome concept and would be so easy to make useful, but nope. Now the attack is completely canceled if he gets hit by an enemy (whereas before he would absorb the hit and continue the attack) and you can't change directions at all while it's charging. To add insult to injury, now you can't use the "R" button in place of the "A" button to activate the attack, meaning you have to awkwardly press the "Y" button and "A" button at the same time to use it (speaking of which, WHY did they get rid of the ability to use the "R" in place of the "A" button? This makes Gill Grunt's starfish attack awkward to use as well).

Did they really think it was too powerful before? Have they actually tried using it?


Guess I'll be sticking with Series 2 Trigger Happy. Ah well.

They won't be repairing them; Not how it works.

They'll have to produce more of her, and I doubt we'll see her for over a month.

Just came back from TRU, and talked to my employee friend. She said there was a Legendary Deep Dive Gill Grunt Racing Pack coming out on the first of next month, and showed me the list. Sure enough, there it was.


EDIT: Also, weren't we told by some news article when the Skymiibos were announced that if they were put in a non Nintendo platform game, a "funny message" will come up? If any one with a Playstation/Xbox has skymiibos, could you please try putting them on?

After reading the online manual, I really don't get why they removed the alternate attack buttons, when the only thing new (disregarding the vehicle controls, which are separate) is Co-op TP and placing/removing legendary treasures, which as far as I know is only possible in the academy anyway (I don't have access to the game myself, as I live in Europe).

I'm really happy the PS4 has key rebinding options integrated (although fairly limited), I'm way too accustomed to using the shoulder buttons for secondary and tertiary attacks in Skylanders.

My planned rebindings: L3=L1 (Co-op TP/Switch), O=L3 (Horn), Tri.=R1 (Interact - just like SSA/SG), R1=O (Atk2, Brake/Reverse), L1=Tri. (Atk3, Vehicle Atk2)

Same here. The only one I have unboxed for now squeaks like crazy. Fortunately I have three dark packs, so I should be able to find one whose wheels don't squeak.
