Very minor realization, but I finally understood why Spyro’s wings looked so weird in the first game compared to its sequels.
Basically the bones in his wings come out randomly instead of following a hand-like structure like bats’ ones.

You can see it clearly on the First 4 Figures’ statue (which is what made me understand) which kinda makes me “worried” they are going to use that model for the remakes
Assuming they are going to use a single model for all three games of course, which isn’t a given since Spyro changed quite a bit even in his original trilogy, unlike Crash.

I mean, they fixed them in literally all the games from Spyro the Dragon on and the figure was probably aiming for the closest look as possible to the first game’s cover.
Not to mention I wouldn’t see the need to use different models, all they’d had to do is decide features such as teeth, crest and eyes and maybe change the eyebrows to keep the upset face he has in Gateway to Glimmer.

Just wanted to share a small trivia since I realised it only today after 18 years of playing the games.

I would LOVE if they used the f4f look completely, except for the wings, he could use better wings, lol.

Who knows? It could be Spyro. It could be Destiny related. It could be anything.

This is very interesting.
Because while it’s not guaranteed they’ll announce Spyro next week, it at least give us another day to look forward from now on besides Thursday.

I’ll say this: if it’s just an announcement then it could be some Destiny DLC or something similar.
But if they somehow confirm it’ll b a new game, then I say Spyro would be the number one choice, unless they have to announce some indie title or want to surprise us with something truly unexpected.

Also, regarding the potential of Destiny-related content, Destiny 2 is indeed planned for treaming next week but Bungie already has its own channel which is used all Thursdays and occasionally for announcements as well:

So it seems that our chances of not getting Spyro next week are getting thinner and thinner, BUT there were also tweets talking about how the streamer seemed to tease Modern Warfare 2 in various ways, so my best advice right now would be to watch the discussion if you can.

We‘re all so into Spyro that we forgot that they could also announce the Skylanders Mobile Game in their stream

Oof. I'd be happy, but not really. It's not like they'll market it properly afterwards, given their track record. Ideal would be Spyro first followed by Skylanders RPG second about "his adventures on another world" or something. There'll be whining either way, people were spamming the official twitter over a Skylanders Academy nomination that has nothing to do with the games.

Of course they don't, they just don't like that Skylanders exists.

Heck, that nomination is for Master Eon's amazing VA in the show. He totally deserves it, but because he's not spyro remakes and/or announcing the end of Skylanders, time to spam the tweets congratulating him.

I can't shake the feeling there's going to be more to this remaster than what we're being led to believe. Sure, there's obviously going to be a graphical upgrade, but I believe there's going to be a lot more than that, and this is why we haven't gotten an official announcement yet. When it is announced and we finally see screenshots and footage, all our jaws are going to drop at what we see. I bet the developers are just as eager as we are.

I'm not getting that vibe honestly. Keep in mind the hype is fabricating itself, we might be overestimating things.

Well for the N. Sane Trilogy, they made Coco fully playable in all three games. No one expected that. For THIS game, I think they're going to do something similar or more. I'm not expecting something game-breaking like unlimited superfly in all three games.

You raise a very good point, actually. they did change things in N Sane trilogy, not a lot, but something like Coco being playable was a big surprise. I would not be surprised, and I kind of expect their to be some things added to the games for Spyro as well. Game companies never leave stuff alone, requested by fans or not, and in this case, a lot of fans have been vocal about things (for years) they would like to have seen in Spyro games. They will probably do something. Not sure what, but something.

Coco being playable and time trials expanded to all three games is what makes me believe there will be certain new features in Spyro’s remakes as well.
Probably nothing super incredible, but I could see something extra to shake things up a bit and make the game feel “fresh” even for veterans.

As for my expectations, the best I could wish for right now is that they do for Spyro exactly what they did for Crash in terms of passion, dedication and faithfulness.
Some things will and should be a bit different (like the music and other visual details) but I’ll be more than satisfied as long as they can keep the general feeling and atmosphere of all worlds and levels.

Even if they’ll stick to just that I’m sure my mind is going to be blown away, and that’s simply because Crash was a rather formulaic and straightforward old-school platformer, even if a high quality one.
These are three huge 3D open-level adventures full of hidden collectibles, menorable NpCs and amazing locations which are never repeated through the trilogy.

No matter what, it’s going to be a blast.

I mean, maybe, but it kinda seems like it'd be a bit of a PR DISASTER if they advertised their surprise CoD themed stream by implying in any way, shape, or form, that CoD fans WOULDN'T be happy with what they're showing?

Honestly, my first reaction to reading that is them possibly implying CoD fans might not be happy, because Spyro's a "Kid's game", and not a gritty action shooter, and that maaaaybe there'll be a tiny bit of CoD news at the end of the Spyro announcement?

I still think the poses are incredibly stilted and the lack of texture only makes them look cheaper. Except the Cuphead ones, which actually look good, I'd rather look elsewhere for official merch.
