So I watched that video from before. Wow. Ok. Lots of questions, not gonna bother asking them, but yeah. That was strange. Although it does seem like this is what Academy is going to look like. (Not the content, just the style. Am I the only one getting a How To Train Your Dragon vibe from this?)

I wonder if there will be anything stopping people from choosing battle classes while the crystal is still in the package, and then returning the ones they don't like. Then the next kid who buys it and opens it will be stuck with a battle class they didn't even choose. Just another way this could end up screwing people over...

Yeah the idea of being used Crystals is going to be entirely stupid seeing as how you'd be locked into that class.

Can't remember who mentioned it, but about the synergy between element and class, I feel like that's why there are multiple elemental moves and two different types per class. Not to mention the Techniques. It's not about it blending with the element because you have all of those options

I'm going to choose the top ones from the shelves now that no one will go for just to make sure I don't get a creation crystal that has a battle class locked on to it

I would recommend avoiding ebay at all costs for Creation Crystals until a third party hax program is developed.

I was gonna buy at least 20 creation crystals, so this isn't a HUGE deal to me, but it is dumb as hell.

Yeah I agree, we can probably have our regular skylanders experience just by playing through the game with new characters and this time fully upgrade able villains
Being limited in the creation studio doesn't effect the actual gameplay. Just probably a decrease in the total time people will spend making characters.

Nahhh, this is the biggest gimmick yet and Both VV and TfB know that there would be HUGE backlash.

Well Acti knew they'd have backlash over Crystals so much they shoddily PR spun it as a good thing....

Upon reflection, not making Imaginators compatible would be just like making any other Skylander not compatible.

Imaginators aren't anything like Traps. They are fully fledged playable characters that have upgrades and stuff (crappy ones) unlike villains.

But they aren't physical figures of the characters, which from the way things go in this series, they will not be playable as the characters you created. They will do something else most likely. Either laziness or time restraints or disc space will be the excuse for not supporting character creation onward. Just my opinion but I feel confident in this assumption.

They did an interview and stated it in the article. So yes 100 percent true. At least til they realize the issues with this and fix it...let's hope.

Considering it has been nearly two years since the release of Trap Team, yes, you cannot reset Traps.

If you are referring to the Creation Crystals, yes, there is absolute proof in the form of an article, in which a TFB representative answered that you cannot reset them.

Officially, no. You can wipe their data with third party tools. But as in clear everything; iirc in Pyrofer's backup tool thread someone mentioned that you'll lose even variant villain data if you're not careful.

I probably won't buy 100 crystals. I'll just pick up all the ones i can on day one and mess around from there.

I have no plans to create any SUPER SPECIFIC characters on day one, seeing as when you first play the game, most of the creation options are hidden in chests and other things. So for the first CC i'll use, it's probably gonna be some kind of horrifying monstrosity of the life element. Preferably the ninja class. The idea of a horrifying body/head thing with big blades is... amusing..

I'll have to tweak the hell out of skyshot to fit her into the bowslinger class. She was my first ever OC for these games- a cloud with arms and legs who shot arrows out of a rain-bow. Now she's gonna have a cloud head, and a regular body..

Once i've unlocked a good amount of options, i'll get to being specific. That means being very careful with class.. Knowing the restrictions on each class' body design.
