They do usually limit themselves to “Spyro Remastered”, but this has happened a couple times without anyone mentioning the rumored name.
This is actually the only reason why I found these tweets interesting, otherwise they would have simply been a confirmation of what we already know.

Not sure how to consider them now that B4DASS’s leak has proven to be fake, along with all the informations he managed to out under the spotlight, but I still think they know.

So B4DASS's leaks were fake huh? Oh well. Well, Numskull still has yet to reveal their new merch line up. They're still supposed to today. There's a lot of speculation it's Spyro, so lets see what happens later.

^ if that is true, then Activision didn't have Target take down their tweet, Target did it themselves because they jumped on the hype bandwagon and realized B4DASS is full of ****.

...then what about the Imaginators leaks? Or the Superchargers leaks? That sounds anecdotal. In fact, they did request artbook content for Skylanders to be taken down, no lawyers.

Best case/optimistic scenario: The Target employees realized "OH, WAIT! We can't talk about this stuff JUST yet!" and quietly removed the tweets in hopes they'd fall under the radar again, and nobody would get in trouble for leaking anything.

Worst case/pessimistic scenario: Target NEVER actually had any kind of information on the game, and was just kinda parroting affirmatives off rumors/other people's suggestions, until the higher ups caught on told them to knock it off, because they they have NO idea what's going on, and don't want any sort of fan backlash hitting them if things don't come up to their expectations.

Neutral scenario: Target just wanted people to stop spamming their help line with the subject, and just removed the tweets in hope of getting people to just STOP and let people in actual need of customer service get the time they need dgjsagdsahjdgsa

I don’t think today was ever a possibility to begin with.
Yes, there was GDC with V.V.’s panel but Activision’s previous announcements always happened on Thursdays.

I am a bit more optimistic about tomorrow than I was about the 15th, but what I’m strongly convinced about is that we’ll get the reveal by the end of the month.
The game is indeed happening, true, but Laura’s rumor is currently the closest thing we have to official informations (maybe only second to Target’s tweets, if they weren’t based on rumors themselves).

Fingers crossed for tomorrow, especially if what I heard about Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is true and it’s getting revealed along with Spyro (Twitter sources, but partnered with Activision it seems).

huh, but this is gamestop, right? target teams up with activision, which is a little different of a scenario, I guess... I think you're right in the long run, though. I think it's likely that what I said might have been the case, they were just repeating what the questions were, or repeating what they have heard about.

i'd like to know more about this target account. if they have ever been right about something before.

overall, it won't matter soon. pretty confident we're getting an announcement any second now.

Not only that, but the listed title isn’t Half Life 3, it’s actually Half Life 2 Episode 3 which was indeed never released but I think was meant to be some sort of episodic sequel along with the other two released parts.
So they probably heard real informations which in the end simply turned out to be about a cancelled project (which of course they had no idea would have happened), while in Beyond Good and Evil 2’s case it was simply confirmed a lot later.

Besides, Target has already been confirmed to have been partner with Activision multiple times, not sure it’s the same for GameStop.
Modern Warfare 2 Remastered was rumored by a partnered youtuber which apparently is mostly known for his Call of Duty videos, by the way, so I doubt would be fake.
Then again I was hoping the same for many potential reveals, these past weeks.
And let’s also not forget how the staff answered with preset messages referencing Gnasty Gnorc, which probably means they got those messages from Activision itself; there are similar images about Modern Warfare 2 but can’t be too sure about their legitimacy.

Sad people on Twitter are already calling the entire rumor fake because they think Kotaku got their information from B4DASS but it’s not my fault if they can’t even bother to look up for facts before writing.

Besides, even without taking into consideration the N. Sane Trilogy demo code, the listed Project Falcon whichstarted at the same time as Crash’s remakes, the hints or straight up confirmations from much more reliable leakers such as Liam and Laura, the recent batch of merchandise, the acquired domains and trademarks and the fact this is Spyro’s 20th birthday we still have the Twitter private account.
That handle is our biggest and strongest evidence so far, and the fact Activision didn’t take it down like it did for other fake accounts is our definite proof the remakes are coming relatively soon.

Tom’s tweet is fine, but I’d expect a bit more professionality from an online videogaming news website.
Liam has proven to be a lot nicer when it comes to handling this kind of hype-thirst, and even the troll video posted from Resurrect Fortesque was better received.
Doing it on a Thursday adds yet another layer of poor taste to this.

It’s not because of Spyro itself, more because of the situation the fandom is in after weeks of (undoubtedly self-induced) disappointment.

From what I understood the EGX is a pretty big UK games event, which this year takes place from the 20th to the 23rd of September.

What’s the point of still being in a fandom that will never get any new games again,I was getting my hope up because of the remaster(if successfull it could have lead to a whole new Spyro game) but it seem now that Spyro is now truly dead,we are getting trolled and Activision never planned a Spyro remaster.As a struggling fanfic writer,it feel harsh to get no new contents for so long.

Enjoying the games that exist? That attitude is exactly what's making the fans on twitter act like jerks. The world does not owe us a game, the leakers said it's happening. Just gotta keep a cool head and look somewhere else in the meanwhile.

So you just want to keep ignoring the evidence posted multiple times, and just focus on the sole guy which tricked us two times and had no knowledge whatsoever about the project itself.

I know full well I could still play the old games.....but most of them are on ps2....that no longer work,the rest is what remains with my Gamecube games and 2/3rd of the original trilogy so I don’t have access to as much as I used to.Also,I would far prefer a game with all new contents,plot....actually try to have a lore and a rich universe....but I know it will never happen.

There are other means, just like there are LPs. It's overreacting that'll lead nowhere.

I'm starting to feel stupid for getting my hopes up so high. BUT Just because we have no reveal doesn't mean it isn't coming. It hasn't been officially denied at least.

At least we know that Activision is doing something with Spyro, even if we don't hear of an announcement this month. They're doing something.

I am still 100% sure these remakes are happening. Just because we didn't get it YET, does not mean we never will. There's still some March left, and if Laura's leak was off on the month, so be it. Activision will probably announce it later. still E3 after all.

Still, the title is still a maybe. As I said before, it could be support looking it up quickly to answer the person and finding Treasure Trilogy, since it still has a placeholder title in the system.

I never lost so much hype for a Spyro remaster than this Thursday. Seriously, March is one of the slowest, most dull month of the year for me and stretching anticipation for something I really want throughout the month with rumours being shot down as fake doesn't fill me with confidence.

Liam confirmed it and he's usually right on Acti rumors, so I'll trust them for now.

However, it really is stupid to not announce more stuff in March. E3 is cool and all, but what *big* names did we get that's not Nintendo, GOW, etc? It's the perfect empty space to generate some buzz, Acti is just being poor at marketing again imho.

While I reiterate the fact I’m definitely going to be less inclined to believe in leaks and rumor from now on, I still think Laura’s the most plausible one so far: she gave us both an announcement month and a potential release one as well, while also providing us with some basic but realistic informations.
Not only that but she kept defending her sources and article through these weeks, saying she had good reasons to not suppose a date or an hour as well.

I would even go as far as saying Liam basically confirmed the rumor after he had the chance to verify her leak, to the point of saying she has access to very reliable sources.
The tweet is still there, but the connection is a personal guess.

The date might turn out to be fake, either because Activision changed plans or because she got her wrong since the beginning, but there’s too much evidence for this not to be true.
Just... Too much.
And this comes from someone who simply couldn’t believe this was truly happening in the first place just a couple months ago.

I don't wanna believe they'll announce the remaster at E3. It just makes this month all the more miserable. I would be expecting E3 would be for when Activision will show off levels from Spyro 3.

@Bolt, As much as that would be nice, they don't, actually. They're the ones that spent the millions in the IP, they can do whatever they want with it. New game,remake, no game, Skylanders, mobile shovelware. In a perfect world maybe, but no, we aren't owed a game which is why the twitter fandom's attitude is so disgusting. Real or fake rumors, we must stay civil.

While we're out of news yet again, I just hope that we don't have to deal with the infighting here when it DOES get announced. I trust Paris and co. to stop a fight, but some fans are a whole new level of nasty and some might join here expecting it to be a-ok to say certain things.

You shouldnt, due to possible problems during the development an announcement could also be delayed until Gamescom and still be released in September, high theoretically

to those who are saying that the game is completely fake- if it was fake, how come the AskTarget account knows about it? There's just too much to ride on that I don't think the game is flat out not coming.
