I'm actually really happy that they were more different with the dragon this time. I hated Flashwing and I'm tired of samey-looking dragons from each element getting the spotlight all the time. At least Fire Kraken is more interesting and inventive than most of the others and he actually feels like a worthwhile addition.

Alas, I wish they would stop making so many human-like (elves, etc.) as well, it's getting to a sickening amount now just like the dragons.

Glad about the lack of Sidekicks(so far... Don't see how it confirms none), they did literally nothing except follow you.

Oh... And the less variants, the better.

Chinese dragons are still dragons. The European dragon may be more popular and known but this doesn't make it a standard. Many different cultures have their version of the dragon.

Actually calling them dragons is just the closest translation to what they call it, meaning we don't have a different word for it so we use a word in our language to describe it even if they are completely different in style and effect.

OFF TOPIC:
Chinese dragons predate the prototypical European dragon by several centuries, they also have a different version of mermaids and unicorns. Fact of the matter is that through all ancient cultures the legend of dragons is universal. All have depicted it in many various forms and some even show multiple versions of dragons in the same culture. Just because you do not see another culture's version as legitimate does not make it any less of a dragon. Acceptance is not mandatory but tolerance would be preferred by all, especially the imaginations behind Skylands, who get to determine how many, and what types of dragons live there.

REALLY OFF TOPIC:
These toys are made in China why would there not be a Chinese dragon. And out of curiosity doesn't that make all the dragons in Skylands Chinese

ON TOPIC:
Hope for a few surprises on release day, that was the only way I got jet-vac early on last year because we bought the portal owners pack. MOST of wave 1 is confirmed, but it seems that every year (with only a small frame of reference) they sneak something else in there. Sidekicks I can take or leave. Another reposed legendary would be cool, though my wallet cringes at the thought of it. Dragons? yeah we got them.
