The gimmick for a 4th entry will be that it won't exist just in your mind. High possibility if people don't buy swap force, think on that for a sec.

What they need to do is expand on the online aspect as it seems disney sort of has this right with infinity and that's how they should do the whole skylanders universe thing if you want to call it a fourth entry sure.

There is nothing else figure wise you can possibly do that will grab the attention of others to buy them. The first gimmick was the portal, second was giants or bigger figures and third was swapping figures tops and bottoms. The only thing you can really expand on is the game play.

Make things more open world like, slightly longer campaign and make the figures for the collection seperate and only centric to that game. A newer story without adding khaos into it as honestly it should have been wrapped up after the first one and would have made more sense to get away from that. Add the ability to customize your own levels or world and share that with other users online and offer additional co op in that manner.

People need more to do with their figures instead of heroic challenges and a short campaign. It doesn't matter what figure gimmick you try to shove down people's throats but if the game play itself isn't up to it, you're just going to become stale and finished.

Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure's gimmick was bringing toys to life. All games start somewhere.

TFB are already working on it, so it will exist... but it'll be the last if sales slump.

To be completely honest, I do not wish to waste the rest of my life on video games. But at the same time, I enjoy playing Skylanders so much that I will not stop until the series truly comes to an end.

seriously? I feel like LightCore Skylanders need a game... I thought that was pretty obvious.

I think a 4-player skylanders would rock. I also think a lite online play would be good. Even if its like nintendos approach where its randomly generated pvp matches or campaign mode with no real way to talk other then simple hand gestures etc. Its a kids game so that is the safest way I can think of kids playing games and avoiding the internet, but getting use of it.

Im thinking fully articulated figures. for $10 a piece these arent impossible.
also, if any of you peeps have seen "gormiti" you'd probably still not know about the magnet figures that can switch any of their parts with another figure.
seems like a long shot, but itll be extremely cool if they pulled it off.

I think it will be called "KAOS Alliance" and it will allow you to play as the villains. They did register KAOS Alliance at the same time they did Swap Force afterall.

Skylanders: Dimensions Beyond.
Story: Kaos is fed up with trying to conquer skylands and failing so he decides to Steal the dimensional Diamond, a magical gem with the power to travel between alternate dimensions. By doing this, he creats dimensional rifts in the Sky-Space continuim, causing things to go through dimensions as well! eon is lost discovering theese portals, so he leaves Message stones in each realm he goes into. in order to save skylands , rescue eon and deafeat kaos' transdimensional army.
Major changes: First off, every chapter is actually 3 levels. The chapters are universes, and with each universe, a new genre of gaming make up the levels. for example, the Mystery Mountains (chapter three) is a series off whodunit games to find out answers as to the whereabouts of the next portal, kaos, and eon. There would still be the typical skylanders hack n slash segments of levels, but the new genres are a big part too. The series 3 or 2 or whoever are remakes will be called Altered Skylanders, and they will not only help you acsess rewars in the chapters they are from, their moveset gets an athestetical change. For example, Sir Frightsalot and Ridereth will unlock rewards in chapter 4, Rennisance Realm, which is a strategy level (dividing and conquering to reach new areas).
Some newlanders will be called Micronauts, which will be tiny skylanders that can fit into tiny holes. they re the size of sidekicks, and if there are more then 4 players on the portal of power (4 player co op) the micronauts will act as sidekicks. sidekicks can also be micronauts too. how does it sound.

How about Skylanders that can switch a special piece ,for example: you got a hedgehog skylander with spikes on his back BUT he also comes with2 exchangebal pieces being a diamond back and one covered wit fur.You can pop out the spiky piece and put in another one changing his look in game and in real it also affects the gameplay.Every piece supports one of his attackst.

Or how about Skylanders Dual Power......you got 64 new charakters no reposes or lightcores.Every newby got a main element and a side element. There are 8 newcore charakters in every element lets take fire:There is a pure fire charekter a fire- life ,fire- tech,fire-earth,fire-water,fire-magic,fire-life,fire-undead and a fire-air Skylander.And that is,going on with every element.Mabey a burning buterfly or how about an undead Golding for tech and undead.
