I bought a couple simple cabinets from Ikea:

Here's my collection:

I stand by the Detolf as being a great cabinet. I don't store skylanders in them though.
I have 2 that I had custom etched that store My collection of 120 Petro Canada 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics Glasses and store my 48 New In box Petro Canada 2010 Vancover whistler glasses on top.
I use the 88 glasses whenever I have the chance but I don't use the 2010set

Old picture is old (2010 set not included in picture)

I use a Detolf and works great to both store and showcase collection. Problem now is I need a 2nd one but can see this getting out of hand, so I'm using both PowerA cases for the "retired" characters and the Detolf case for the latest and greatest of all of them. I think I can make it though Swap Force but then I'll HAVE to get another Detolf case just to display one of everything.

RIP GhostRoaster. He's reanimated as TakeYourLemons but occasionally is resurrected from the beyond when needed.

I use hardware organizers since they have separate compartments- I have 6 total to store every figure from SSA and Giants, plus all the items/locations/sidekicks/cards, etc... basically everything but the portals!! smilie The second photo is an image of every box's outside labeling and opened to show the compartments... I used a link for the second image since it's pretty large! Prior to this storage method, I had used two clear rubbermaid containers (one for SSA and one for Giants), but disliked how the figures rubbed against each other... hope this helps!! smilie

Where you get the stickers for the side, I love the idea.

Oops, sorry. I created a topic very similar to this, I also used the same wording "Storage Solutions". That's so weird O___O

Here is mine again. Sorted by elements in plastic bags and also includes a game I half created with the idea of someone else as inspiration. Just wrote the name of most of the skylanders on Peices if index cards and also a bag with tops and one with bottoms for Swapper Characters. A bag with Batyle Arenas and Ring out arenas. There are 3 wild cards in the regular skylanders bag where you can pick any character. If you pull a sidekick, you pick again to get a fighting character, if you pick a giant, the opponent can pick 2 from the bag to use. Back to the storage I have my cards orginizer crazily in a binder in which you can find out how crazy here: //forum.darkspyro.net/spyro/viewposts.php?topic=97289
I have the strategy guide, some portals, the sidekicks, the battle/adventure packs, magic items, and show and go (forgot the name) bag from TRU with the Swappers all in the tote as well. It fits perfectly with space to go, and it's convenient to put the characters and portal on top of the tote when it's closed. My "still in box" Skylanders are in another box until we actually get to move into a more permanent place.

This is for the normal figures of SSA and Giants. Legendaries, chase variants, and SSF are all over the place. Gotta get 'em organized somehow still.

Those lights look amazballs.

My Home Storage is this:

But I'm really looking for some good way to transport them - I've been looking at some big plastic boxes with dividers inside, but those look expensive as hell to get here.

I bought 8 of the power A tackle boxes when they were around $12 each over the holidays, one for each element. We also have a large case we use for customs and out of the box rares/specials. We use the old cardboard SA carry case for magic items. A big bin for rares/specials still inbox and another bin for all the spares we may paint or sell or whatever. I'd prefer to display all this, but planning to sell the house soon and figure it's best not to have all that out.

Nope - I live in a country with free health care, free education, legal brothels, legal gay marriage and low crime rate. Other than computer games and movies costing way more than they should, I think New Zealand is a pretty great place to be.
I'm just talking about moving them if (for example) I visit my family or fly up to Auckland to visit a mate.

I totally missed your question Slayer, so sorry!! lol I made the stickers from images pulled from the internet and edited them in Photoshop to all fit the side dimensions. The image labeling on the lid was done the same way, it was like 3 or 4 full pages of stuff!! ...Print it out on sticker paper and voilĂ !! smilie I noticed this topic was bumped and happened to scroll thru it again!! lol
