I have a soft spot for orcs wielding 2 handed axes so naturally my first skylander was Voodood . He was wrapped up along with the starter pack for my little brothers birthday which was about 2 weeks away .

While waiting we bought the SSA 3DS so i got Boomer and Hex for that . Hex was an after thought because my little brother was annoyed i bought another tech and magic element instead mixing up different elements .

Voodood , Boomer and Hex are my original 3 .

I picked up 3 of the 4 adventure packs first, so i got slam bam, sunburn & terrafin. My first (single pack) character for spyro's adventure was red drill sergeant.

Flameslinger, Slam Bam, Stump Smash, Sonic Boom, and Wrecking Ball, all of which I got on Christmas 2012.

I actually started with Giants and, after seeing the awesome preview videos for Boomer and Ghost Roaster, I bought those ones first.

I bought chop chop with the starter pack.

I got SSA christmas 2011. I got the starter pack, Stump smash, Zap, and Darklight crypt

As soon as I got the game, I gave away the first three and replaced them with Double Trouble 2, Slam Bam 2, Drobot Lc, and Hex Lc; the latter two were then immediately replaced by their series 2. Also Terrafin and Cynder.

I'd bought S1 Cynder right after I got the SSA starter, it was around the end of 2012, and I feel pretty lucky that I didn't have to hunt her down, she's my fav character and i don't like her reposes that much.

eruptor, sonic boom, chop chop... fantastic original characters, still my favorites today.

Actually Whirlwind was the first ever Skylander that I bought, with me buying Prism Break a week later. It wasn't until about 2 or 3 weeks into launch that I bought the game itself, and finished it with those 5. (Until Christmas 2011 when I got more characters).

The Eruptor, Chop Chop and Bash triple pack.

Boomer, Prism Break, and Voodood. Only one of them has a repose.

Dino-rang was my first and is still my favorite. Second was Sonic Boom, then Prism Break.

Chop-Chop

I got Eruptor on release, and my little brother got Bash. We were getting SSA for Christmas, and we wanted both those figures so bad, we actually saved up for them, just to buy on release. It was also Buy 2 Get1 free, so we also got a free Sonic Boom.

Whirlwind, Drill Sergeant, Double Trouble, Wrecking Ball, Stealth Elf, and Sonic Boom.

Sonic Boom and Bash! got them before i even had a system for the game itself. they both hold a special place in my heart for being my very first skylanders

i got all of them. I went looking online for darklight crypt packs and found what i think is a deal on all 32 figures including the 12 magic items. Im happy, one purchase and my sypro adventure collection is complete. 1 series down 3 to go.

My very first ever, was very special. I was 12 years old back then and I was really interested in this new game, SSA. I asked for it for christmas, but the wait was too long, so one day when I was in my local Tesco I picked up the tesco exclusive, Whirlwind. At least she was exclusive for the first few months before a wider release in the UK. I took her home, opened her carefully and she started my ongoing collection. I still have her and she has always been a second favorite of mine as I've had soo many good memories of her and the first game felt so magical. That touch of magic has definitely faded since the first game but I still enjoy collecting the figures. I will never forget the day I walked in and picked her up, I remember every move that day I made with her.

Aside from whirlwind. When christmas arrived, I got voodood who also had a special feeling to him, The darklight crypt pack, pirate seas pack, starter pack and some other ones I actually can't remember. I went out to a game store over the holidays that year and picked up someone I really liked at the time over all else. It was... Stump Smash. Loved his design and hadn't seen him before that day so he was a must get. My last character that year was wham shell when he released. He was by far the least shipped character as there was only one I had ever seen of him. In my local Tesco.

The above is exactly how I remember that and how I always will.

I recall my strategy at the time was to get ones in the elements that didn't come with the starter pack. That being said, I got Whirlwind, Stump Smash, Flameslinger, Cynder, and Dino-Rang.

I still own that Cynder to this day and I use her all the time.

Sonic Boom. She was really hard to find at the time, and I had gone to Toys R Us to see what was available. I wanted her the most but couldn't see her. Disappointed with the selection, I was going to leave... Until I saw one Sonic Boom in a trolley full of general stock. I was so chuffed. My parents bought her for me that day, and she's still one of my favourites to this day. I feel so grateful to my parents for making my first Skylander a special one.

Hex and Bash. Some favorites never change. :U

Green base wise, the first non starter pack green bases I got were actually this year. I got Camo, Warnado, and Ignitor used at EB Games. That's double the greens I got back then. All green bases I got besides the starters were this year, excluding the Terrabite I got from a Swap Force pre-order at EB Games (Not a full skylander)

my first were the 3DS starter pack,along with Bash and drobot. ( it was hard to find Skylanders since alot of people were out buying every single one of them.

I... actually got all 32 (non-variants) in one go, along with all adventure packs and magic items. Also the 16 new characters from Giants at the same time. I bought someone's old collection (including both games and the original green-base portal) on ebay really cheap. Only joined in on Skylanders early-ish last year, towards the end of Swap-Force, which was a lot trickier to collect all of. I was really lucky with finding that bargain to start off my collection. Probably wouldn't have gotten as into the series without it either.

I got the 3DS version around the same time, so my next ones were technically Stealth Elf and Ignitor (I bought it used without Dark Spyro since I didn't want a variant figure), then I bought figures of the remaining elements I needed: Dino-Rang, Sonic Boom, and Hex. These eight are still the only Core figures I own (though I have replaced a few of them with their series+ versions) since I focused on buying gimmicklanders for the sequels.
