Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure is not a Spyro game in my opinion. Spyro is just one of the playable characters and it's way too different comparing to original games. TLOS is still a Spyro game because Spyro is the main character of the game but Skylanders isn't a Spyro game. I think this name would be better for the game: Skylanders: Activisions "Spyro" Adventures.

So I suppose Donkey Kong Country 2 & 3 aren't Donkey Kong games because Donkey Kong isn't the main character in those, right?

I looked from wikipedia and main characters are still Donkey Kong related so some people might think they are Donkey Kong games. But in the other hand someone might think they aren't Donkey Kong games because the main character isn't Donkey Kong.
