As far as having the best 4 Skylanders go, Water is tough to beat IMO. There are one or two amazing characters in some of the other types, but water is without a lame duck entirely.

Earth is the strongest. Terrafin is Amazing and Bash, Dino Rang, and Prism Break are great too. Water is one of the better elements but Earth is the best and has my vote.
