I searched my feelings.

They reminded me that the Spyro franchise would probably still be comatose if it weren't for Skylanders.

100% agreed!
Skylanders brought Spyro back to life in my opinion. So I applaud them for it! Its not exaclty a "Spryo" game all the way, but in a way it is. And really who cares. If you don't like the game good for you. The rest of us enjoy it so let us have our fun while you sit in your little corner and sulk.

Anywho, back on topic, I agree with what someone said up a little ways. I'd like to know myself how much of our money being spend on these figures and such is actually going to "Toys For Bob". Since they seem to be the ones doing a good majority of the work smilie
We'll probably never know entirely though....

But I know I don't regret any the money I've sent their way. And when Giants comes out, they'll get more of it. And I'm totally down with that.

I <3 all Spyro games!smilie

As long as they keep it interesting and the figures cool, Activations gets more of my cash!

I started collecting late, so was lucky to get all my Skylanders within about 2 months, its gonna be painful waiting up to 5 months to get them all for Giants!!!

This is exactly the kind of pop culture and financial footprint the series needed to leave to have those boxed figures be worth anything in ten years. Very encouraging for collectors.

It also helps that the figures can be used on most of the major consoles of this generation, as well as PC and limited iOS support. It improves the chances that ten years down the road someone might be able to track down a way to play a version of the first game and see "how it all began".

The figures by themselves would probably lose a certain amount of their collectability luster if there was nothing you could DO with them in a decade. Granted, many people collect just for the sake of collecting, but it would reduce their overall value.
