My skylanders came with names. I dont see why i would want to change it? No matter what ill name trigger happy he will always be trigger happy. On xbox if u assign a nickname do u get an achievement?

Because, it'll help you "grow close to them" and/or call them as your own. You have your own team of Skylanders you equip hats and name your own.

Flameslinger - Flaminghair ( he uses the Rocket Hair hat ).

Now that I have Double Trouble, I've been taking the time to think of a good nickname for him, and this one hit me --

"OoGhiJ MiQtXA" (ATHF's 'Super Computer')

I only nicknamed Whirlwind: Skytalon. Although I still think this is kinda silly.

She reminded me of my OC, Skytalon (also a blue dragon).

I felt that nicknaming the rest of my team was unnecessary; was going to nickname Sonic Boom, but, in the end, decided not to.

Prisim Break: General Prsim break, I put the general hat on him and sometimes, when you put him on the portal, he sounds like hes cursing in russian! Bam bum bo de gar!

Hex. My daughter originally named her "Marcie" after Marcelline from Adventure Time, then today she changed it to Sylvanas because of Sylvanas Windrunner from WoW

Trigger Happy. When he was mine I named him "Slingo" but since trading him to my daughter she's named him "Bling Bling"

Gil Grunt. When he belonged to my daughter she named him "Darwin", but since trading Trigger Happy to her for him, I've named him "I M Murlock"

I renamed Prism Break to "Stonebender" after a character from a book series by Spider Robinson.

Eruptor's new name is "Bernie"

Flame Slinger has been dubbed, "Illidan"

My little girl renamed Sonic Boom, "Kathy" because she's a Griffin.

Voodood is "Guldan" wish they would allow apostrophes so he could be "Gul'dan"

My son refuses to give his champions nick names. Even thought I thought up some really good ones for his. Oh well.

lol Nice! I love those! Especially the WoW references since I am a long-time player of WoW..

EDIT: A little off-topic, but I named my WoW Hunter's purple chimaera Spyro.

I have a couple of other nicknames now, given that I am trying to think of some for the guys so they aren't so generic.

-For Dino-Rang, I've coined him as "Stalag". Well, it suits an Earth Skylander, right?
-Stealth Elf makes no sense to a Spyro fan, but I've nicknamed her "Lavender Blossom". If you know me from any Sonic forum, however...
-Legendary Spyro is still Spitz. I think it's a cute name for him.
-Sonic Boom looks like a "Gretchen" to me. :/
-Zap's "Aquatarico". He reminds me so much of Rico from Fur Fighters, t'is why. :3
-Bash is nicknamed "Axinite", a wonderful brownish gemstone.
-Drobot's "Hadron". Because he'd be smart enough to invent it.

I don't give any of my Skylanders nicknames. I'm very happy with their original names. They are perfect. I also never give any of my Pokemon names either.

Some of these go over the head of my 7 year old. However my wife and I think we were pretty clever with some of these.

Drill Sergeant - "Short Circuit" (Great movie)
Wrecking Ball - "Slimer" (Ghostbusters man!)
Prism Break - "Rocksteady" (TMNT...Bebop was his partner in crime)
Drobot - "Metal Gear" (Video game - gears shoot from Drobot)
Stealth Elf - "SilentButDeadly" (Slogan I know, but too perfect to not giggle at)
Chop Chop - "Thriller" (Michael Jackson's backup dancer)
Boomer - "BOOOOOOOM" (Explosions man.)

Some generic names that I'm not as proud of:

L.Bash = Uragaan (after the monster hunter tri monster)

We named him that becasue the reg one kinda looks like him and the roll attack is the same as his.

When i get slam bam i would call him Big Mac *Macdonalds all the way *

And im wish listing cynder so i would call her Luna *from MLP FIM*

I named Whirlwind "Celestia".

I don't really nickname my skylanders, but sometimes i do call my stump smash"stumpy" i know, original.

As for Wrecking Ball, he belongs to my son and the boy doesn't like nick names. If it were up to me I think I'd name him "Booger", "Grub" or "Potato Bug".

I don't nickname mine, apart from my two Sonic Booms (to tell them apart). They're twins, Sonic is the boy and Boom is the girl. xD

Cause he looks more like a crocodile to me than a dinosaur...
