Whatever happened to people who liked something...just to like something? It is sad that there are only a handful of people who are diehard Spyro fans. Diehard Spyro fans like Spyro...because he's Spyro...not because an innocent child icon is living in self-loathing, leaving his longtime companion for a former enemy, and not because Spyro is living in a happy-go-lucky world where everything has a "happily ever after" ending. I do like his new look and have no further complaints on that. But I can't help but wonder what the other characters will look like, namely Sparx because you can't have Spyro without his trusty companion.

Hey, What we say now will not affect the game but how we go into the game thinking. If we think if is crap now, it Will be crap to us if we play it.
On the other hand, if he go in to it thinking it will be amazing we have the chance of being let down.
Just go into it as if you knew nothing about spyro, Then you will come out happy.

I dunno what people are complaining about... I saw the new Spyro, and LAUGHED MY FREAKING BUTT OFF!!! xDDDDD He's like the cross between cute and ugly...

He looks like a Spore creature.

Besides, a lot of video games have ugly characters, but have still been fun. What matters is the gameplay and story. I don't care what Spyro looks like, just as long as the story and gameplay are good. And easy enough controls. If you can't judge a book by it's title, you can't judge a game by it's looks.

My main concern is it becoming more of a Webkins ripoff with the Spyro name tacked on it for sales.

It looks more promising than DotD did, what with Activision having used their budget to hire real writers this time, a super awesome composer (Hans. Freaking. Zimmer!), and having spent at least three years working on it (it's rumored to have started work before DotD was released). Also, we finally get Spyro toys.

And don't forget it's said to be an AAA tittle as well

Oh yeah, I forgot about that! Which means Activision is actually putting some effort into this one, despite what the nay-sayers may think.
