Well, it's not like Lightcores have ever had much thought put into how they light up. I'm pretty sure they just add lights at random.

The colors have never been this randomized. All Lightcores have had properly colored lightning; I can't recall a single one ever having a non-matching color, except for Ninjini (but even then, it was a darker blue light for her purple tail, while this is a purple light for brown rocks).

Honestly? This could be a leak or could not, in my eyes.
Like, you can see a little of the texture of the weight behind the lights, which make it look a little like photoshop to me, but the weights also look wider than the current figure?
And on one hand, you could frankenstein that fig with Barb's right leg/arm and Pit Boss' belt, but how on EARTH would you do her left arm and leg? You can't just flip it and get the same results.

I'm hopeful it's a leak (please god I need lightcore Krank to be a possible thing) but I still have my doubts.

Well, that's an interesting idea, but let's not forget we weren't supposed to see this figure yet since it's a prototype, so they might have simply not cared about the lights used.

Also, I think it's safe to say the legitimacy of the figure is out of question.
I just confronted that image to my Barbella and even the belt is different, not to mention what Mekaku already said.
The question is "simply" wether this figure is an unused pose or a brand new one.

Void and Krakatoa sound amazing! Can't wait to see their designs, hopefully at E3.

I wonder if they will be doing a lightcore per element. Assuming they won't use villains, this is my predictions:

Magic: Mysticat
Earth: Barbella
Fire: Flare Wolf
Dark: Starcast
Light: Aurora
Water: Tidepool
Tech: Ro-Bow
Life: Ambush
Air: Air Strike
Undead: Chopscotch

Each Element, Each Class. If that's the way they are going I believe this is what the roster will be.
Ro-Bow is already almost Lightcore. His eye would light up.


Now the reason I believe this leak is because of the fact the women at Activision HQ, and it states the person who saw Void and Krakatoa was also at Activision HQ. Also the fact she took the post down after? It just adds up.

Also, the figures aren't finalized so the purple is probably placeholder.

Can't wait for E3!

Doubt it'll be a Lightcore per element with the current wave distribution. However, I'd really like to see an LC/S2 Starcast.

Nice prediction, Luminous, I was about to do the same thing!

Wish I could make a list including 5 villains as well... but I tried, and I either have to leave out the characters I prefer or some villains (since Sentinel is already taken).
So I'm just going to list the characters I think would look the coolest without caring about the Battle Classes:
- Buckshot (eyes and arrow)
- Dr. Krankcase (guns)
- Chompy Mage (bazooka, now on his figure as well)
- Pit Boss (staff and eyes)
- Bad Juju (daggers, tail and possibly Juju Junior's tail or head as well)
- Barbella (barbells, even if I would prefer her body to light up)
- Ember (tail and flaming part of her helm)
- Grave Clobber (eyes and water effect on his fists, or possibly the fists themselves)
- Blaster-Tron ("face" and red part of the sword or his antenna)
- Starcast (body and eyes)

I'd expect at least the characters they shown at the meeting, since the post specifically says they will be there, and maybe the Q4 Adventure Pack level(s?).

If there will be new villains figures, I'd expect at least one of them to be there as well.

I guess I have to agree that it's legit.
Although I totally was not expecting to get confirmation of anything new this early.

From a money-making standpoint, I have to say that lightcores probably won't make Activision much more money unless there's something else special about them. If they just re-make some of the sensei, there's no reason to buy them instead of the regular versions, and many people can't justify getting two of the (almost) same thing.

What battle classes do you think these new skylanders will be? Or maybe they won't have battle classes.

I said nothing jumped out at me on Fotoforensics. It could be photoshopped by someone really experienced that knows how to work around the web app. Just wanted to say I'm not confirming anything so if it winds up being fake I don't have a bunch of people jumping at my thought.

I doubt that it's fake. I mean after all we all know how real S2 chopper looked and fotoforensics caught wind of it easily. I'm pretty confident that this is legitimate at this point especially with that insta post from that person who went to Acti.

I am so hyped!! Maybe if we are lucky we can get a reveal in the next two weeks? I know it's unlikely to be before E3 but I am hoping for it!!

Anyway, new content for Imaginators is a neat edition to my E3 hype list. If it's true, I'm really looking forward to it. While reposes aren't super exciting, the fact that new characters are also a possibility too makes me pumped up to see what they have to show.

Void and Krakatoa are a great way to start of Year 2. They sound great!

Can't wait for something not officially confirmed to come out. If it does not happen, I'll be frustrated, but definitely not because I chose to believe something was real before getting actual proof.

Why are we happy for lightcores? I thought no one really liked them since they were never done right, plus they only had the light-up thing and the explosion thing to make them special? Wasn't this something debated to death before? Eh....whatever. The new character sound amazing though, hope this is real! The inclusion and release of new characters, rather than games, is an easy way to keep the money flowing and the company afloat.

But I won't doubt the possibility, I just don't believe he will get a Lightcore due to the way things are already going.

We already have Barbella taking up the place for Earth and Sentinel, so if Buckshot were to get a lightcore, that would mean Mysticat doesn't get one which mean the Undead would have to be Pit Boss which means we don't get Chopscotch which means we would get Tri-Tip but that's also not a possibility because of Barbella, and I still don't see villains getting reposed.

Unless they do everything completely different and use villains, but if not, then Bucky ain't getting a lightcore.

I am still a bit skeptical, but if this is true, I need Krakatoa.

I'd love for this to be true.

The only part throwing me off would be the fact that there wasn't a mention of a specific detail: Lightcore Bombs.

It isn't that big of a deal, but still; that was the trademark feature for ALL LightCores.

Its looks like this leak is getting more legit by the minute, and luckly e3 is not that far...

I couldn't care less about the Lightcores, but if they were true that would mean the new characters would be confirmed as well.
