Does anyone know if each mold is exclusive to a certain pack? For example, is the Handles Case/Cube Crystal Shape exclusive to the Mysticat Combo Pack? And another Magic mold can only be found as a single?

For now, yes. Each Crystal looks exclusive to a certain Pack.

I think it's a good thing to me. Makes easier to know how to find Crystals.

The crystal in Mysticat is shown in the triple pack with undead and tech and also a site posted in the main thread had a picture of it as a single pack.

In addition to Mysticat's Creation Crystal, there are also 3 other singles I've found that are also in 3-packs.

it looks like the water crystal is a completely new mold .

It looks like it has rising spikes/ fence post coming up from the base to crystal height.

The Water Crystal in that pic is the same as 'Ei' in the reference pic.

Since the artworks look a bit different from the physical counterparts, here's the Earth Ee in figure form:

The 8-Pack includes several Crystals from other packs too.

Same Tech Crystal as above, same Undead Crystal as the 3-pack.
The Life, Earth, Water and Light are available as singles.
Haven't seen the Magic or Dark ones in any other packs as of yet.

It's a bit disappointing that 3 of them have the same casing (H), and that there are 3 pairs of matching crystals (e, f, h).

I'm thinking some might just be place holder images, Escpecially because magic , life and undead are the same mold. Doesn't seem like something they'd do. I'd Wait for the real pack pic before planning purchases.

Water Dg, alright. I think I'll wait until we get a few more before updating, though. Hopefully we'll get a less blurry version of that one too.

I think the fact that crystal molds aren't really listed proves that skylanders is not about collecting but building a team.

4 molds X 10 elements = 40 Different Crystals Total.

If you don't buy these on sale (lmao), then you are looking at about $400 worth of Imaginators.

That's a little more than the cost of buying all the traps at retail value (which was about $360).

4 has always made sense to me coz it allows you to have 4 different crystal of the same element , with each imaginators having a different one of the 4 elemental power options.

Hopefully they don't skimp out on light and dark crystals though

Also, it got cropped out, but the box says 30+ crystals to collect . Which suggests to me that we might not hit 40, or maybe just hit 40 exactly.

So it's possible light and dark, and even fire elements get shafted ( fire because it's in the starter and we only have 2 molds so far) and only receive 3 molds each instead of 4.

All of the ones from the display have been replaced by better versions.

This puts us at 4 "cluster" (f) crystals: Air/Undead/Life/Water
Also 4 "rune" (B) casings: Dark/Life/Light/Earth
And of course 4 full Life Creation Crystals: Hg, Bf, Jc, Ea

A lot of the molds actually match assigned elements really well I think.


The 3 molds of the light element crystals suit really well out of the 10

I'm so happy you can get 1 crystal for every element with no overlapping features. It's the small things like that that I love.

I just hope it'll be possible to do that while still getting both of the standard Adventure Packs...

We may have a Life cube, putting it at 5 different Crystals. Starting to think the in-game models may not be representative of actual crystals.

There might be more. But yeah I'm not trusting the in game crystal images alone just yet.

Coz we've just had demos, one of the other crystal shapes might just be defaulting to another shape for simplicity.

We'll see soon though. Hopefully there's a full CC list on the back of the character poster .

More likely for the list to be in-game. The back of the poster is only used to display the alternate artwork in the Dark Edition. The standard edition is always blank.

Uncovered the mystery of the 5th life crystal .
The cluster crystal and runic mold combination might just be an old cgi design.
Cube crystal is the most likely in the starter pack and has been seen as a real life product.

Oh! Now I remember! That's why I didn't think about the cube before. When watching someone's footage of the in-game Life Cube, I also saw the figure, so I just kind of forgot about it until you reminded me.

Pretty dumb that they've used the cluster design in the promo material, then. Especially the content overview of the Dark Edition.

I guess that means we can't 100% trust any of the artworks, only the ones we've seen as figures.

Screw making things easy for the collectors, let's just straight up LIE to them!

I'd hate for them to scrap its design, coz it's got a pretty neat crystal shape.

We've seen the physical Water Crystal featuring the cluster design, so it's definitely not scrapped.

I PMed the person who got the game early to find out the distribution of crystals. He confirmed that the collection page has 3 designs for 9 of the elements, but life has 4 designs for some reason.

And life's my favourite element so I don't mind an extra mold option for them.

I suppose the "extra" one is the runic mold in the dark starter pack considering there's 4 runic mold elemental we know of now.

It's a weird number 31 , but I suppose it enables them to write 30+ CC's to collect on the box.

It's not even too larger number if you want to collect the mall iether.

The uncertain part is Elements per design, not design combinations per Element. But thanks anyway.

Edited: Ignoring the 4th life crystal, Theres only 1 option left to not have any overlap in the all the designs. thought there was 2 but when you cross reference the available crystals there's only 1 option for the last crystals(unless they dont finsih off the molds/crystals evenly)

Fire Aj + Dark Ce is also possible. But yes, Tech is definitely Ib.

So we know of one 10 crystal set so far that will result in 1 of every mold and crystal type across the 10 elements (no doubling up, completely different)




If the 3 crystals in the last posts hold true(tech, dark and fire) then i've found one more 10 crystal set with no mold/crystal cross overs.
Honestly, i think we'll be incredibly lucky to find anymore unique sets, unless they give us an unexpected mold combination.

but goodluck if anyone else wants to try and figure out another set lol.

So, Looking at wave 1 packaging shots, here's the mold/element combos for day one...

Fire- Generator
Water- Shardstand in triple, block in single
Life- Acorn in triple, Shardstand in single
Tech- Generator (shared among single and triple)
Air- Wings (shared among single and triple)
Magic- handles (shared among triple, single, and combo)
Undead- spikes in the combo, handles in the single, spider in the triple
Earth- Block in the adventure pack, shardstand in sigle
Light- runes
Dark- Runes

If the Fire Crystal is Ae (it may be Aj), this is also a possibility:
Air-Gj, Dark Bb, Earth-Fa, Fire-Ae, Life-Jc, Light-Dd, Magic-Ig, Tech-Ch, Undead-Hf, Water-Ei

Likewise, if the Dark Crystal is Cj (it may be Ce), and also assuming Tech-b has an I-casing (which would be logical, but this year has some illogical stuff going on in the roster), this is another possibility:
Air-Aa, Dark-Cj, Earth-Ee, Fire-Ji, Life-Hg, Light-Bh, Magic-Gd, Tech-Ib, Undead-Dc, Water-Ff

Neither of these overlap with each other, or with the official set of ten.

Unfortunately, Fire-CC (Starter) and Earth-Fa (GPO AP) are impossible to fit without overlapping...

So, if I want both while maintaining Elemental balance, I'll have to get two sets of ten, and by that point, I might as well get all 30 (Life-Bd excluded). I bet they did that on purpose <.<

Lol I came to the exact same conclusion. Was planning to get 20 but may aswell get 30 lol . At least then Id have all the options.

Where is it confirmed this picture of ten crystals is in a set and not just showing crystal possibilities like the game poster? I only know of the 8 piece set being confirmed.

Set =/= Pack

They are most certainly not a 10-Pack. It's just a lot shorter to say "set" than "collection of crystals with no overlapping designs or elements".

There's the official set, the two sets I listed in my previous post (with some caveats) and the alternate set compiled by B-BOB, which includes a mix of crystals from the other three sets.

31 Total Crystals (not counting Variants if any). 3 per Element = 30, plus 1 Extra Life Crystal.

According to the in game Collection Screen, there are 3 Crystals for each Element, except Life, Life has 4 Crystals. Why Life has 1 extra, no clue. Bad planning? Something more? Dont know as of now.

I'm wondering if one of these crystals will be painted like an Easter egg.

I'm guessing that the Life Acorn one will be.

Also, the first time I heard 31 Crystals, I automatically thought of a Kaos Creation Crystal, but Life is just as good because I feel like my best ideas are in the Life Element.
