current in progress custom Flashwing. Lets call him Shadowing


smilie It's like a cross between MC Escher and Batman's suit...almost black and white...hint of the purple when on the portal...looks pretty cool I think so far. Will post more pics soon.

Another project I started last night. Remove base of my Royal Double Trouble. Pull RFID out. Remove base and RFID from regular Double Trouble. Swap, reseal and paint regular double trouble into a staff swapping Royal Double Trouble with a new paint job to reflect his in game look.

If I do customize my cynder, what should it look like? And I am planning to add more yellow highlights to my Sunburn. Only minor stuff since its the only one I have. Suggestions?

Limitless possibilities. Paint it how you can imagine it painted. Think of a favorite character or maybe just change the color and go from there... There is no wrong answer to customizing.

im just concernerd that the paint might glob over the scales on her, killing the detail. or that it might dissole the plastic or something. because these guys are way to expensive to replace or trash and im just parannoyed like that.

^ If you use acrylic modeling paint and not enamel, it shouldn't eat away at it. My favorite brand is Testers, but any acrylic paint meant for modeling and crafts should work fine.

A tip I can give is what another user mentioned. Water your paint down to a thin consistency and paint in layers. Small brushes for details...by small...I mean 00 and 000 brushes.

Say, if you want to get some figures for customs, buy some of the factoyr prototypes/rejects/stolen prototypes/whatever off Chinese shopping websites. They cost like $1.5 US dollars, and you can buy them in mass. I may buy some for customs. They won't work in game, but that means you can alter them even more.

Not quite sure. I searched briefly... she may have a FB page of some sort? Try PM'ing T7gga, I know he's bought quite a few of her customs.

I know she's an artist and does some of this for a living, but she is by far the most talented customizer I've seen when it comes to Skylanders!

I'm back doing more custom Skylanders Giants figures and Ninjini caught my eye combining two of my favorite character types, Ninja and a Djinn! But like all Skylanders game figure they lack articulation so I decided to give her the treatment. For Ninjini's arms I used limbs from a Star Wars Luke vs Clone Emperor as it had the right sort of sculpt, marvel legends hip joint for her ab crunch so she could bow, and an elbow joint for her head/neck so she could look around. Ninjini doesn't have legs so she stays on her base but at least now she can slice at her enemies and comes with a game-accurate paint job!
