Damage Control. The 3D model does heavily imply they're real and most likely what we're getting.

The Epic Mickey situation was similar, where we saw concept art first. Sure the initial screens were crap, but in the end, the game wasn't too far from what we saw, minus the steampunk look.

If we get a last-minute production crammed down our throats after 3 years... Ooooooohhhhhhh...

Dragons are superior over humans. Please, somebody realize that and make a proper game out of it again!

Also, technically GTG/RR had semi-humans...

If they do have full-on humans in the next game, then I simply CANNOT enjoy it. What made Spyro so unique was the fact it had no true human in a major role.

I knew the PC version was a bad sign... Just not in the way I expected.

I think the Spyro with humans might be just fan art. I can see the 3D model being official, and IMO, it looks good.

Or maybe she deleted the images on her own, seeing how they got spread throughout the internet. I'd be scared myself if that happened to my artwork for a company that wants the game under a super low profile. :/

I actually loved the humans in Sonic Unleashed!

And oh, now I get it...
So really, we don't know if it's real or not. She could really be telling the truth about it being fanart, highly possible. Orrr, she could be covering up for Activision. Who knows.

Hm, I'm still skeptical about this. Activision deleting evidence has been going on lately...but I find it more understandable if the artist herself said that she took the pictures so it wouldn't cause speculations...

Even the artist said it was fanart, yet she still took them down. Odd...

You know what I kinda find funny? The fact that BEFORE TLoS came out, there were ARMYS of people BEGGING for an adult Spyro, and NOW that the POSSIBILITY is there that there MIGHT be one.... smilie

As for the pics, I'm gonna go with my HOPE on this one and lock myself in " If it's not an actual Game screen Shot/on the official Spyro website, it's not happening." mode for this game, and believe the artist's quote that says they made fan-art and took them down due to chaos over speculation. =p

Pfft, it was WAY different in the end! At least from the first pics I saw anyway... Remember the spider legged Mickey robot? I'll find the pic...

Anyway, this is odd... Why delete fan art if it's just fan art? By all means make ther poerson label it more clearly, but to remove it? Suspicious, very suspicious...
Regardless though I try to be optimistic. Though it can be hard sometimes...

Oh yeah, remember that quote a while back saying this new Toy Fair game would incorperate internet games and toys? Well, internet could be used in the form of DLC, Games fits because it is a game, but toys? Anyone care to hazard a guess as to how a toy could be incorperated into a Spyro game, or any game for that matter? The first things that come to my mind are
1)a game based off a toy,
2) Something like the Toy Box in Toy Story 3, and
3)little figurine peripherals that you use to summon additional items or creatures to help you on your way/give you abilities. How does that work? You buy a toy which looks like the creature/thing you're getting and it comes with a code. You then input the code into the game or a DLC website, and you are then given the thing/creature in the game.

Who's conker and what did he become?


Conker The Red Squirrel is the guy in my avatar.

He is the star of the game "Conker's Bad Fur Day" for the N64, which got a remake on the original Xbox called "Conker: Live & Reloaded".
When the game was in beta stages, it was called "Twelve Tales: Conker's Quest". It was a decent looking platformer, and looked like any other family platformer. Conker was all cute and made squeaky noises, and had a girlfriend called Berri, who looked like Conker, but had feminine hair and a skirt....

However, Rareware(the developers, now known as Rare), thought the game would be lost among the slew of family-friendly games(such as Spyro)...so what did they do?

...They totally changed the games tone, filling it with swearing, violence & gore and sexual innuendo, movie parodies and jokes about video game clichés. Conker became a greedy, cheeky squirrel. They also made Berri a chipmunk, and gave her a "sexy", humanoid body. It's mainly a comedy game, but has serious elements, and a moral to it's story. Because of it's mature nature, they were able to put stuff in the game that may not of been possible otherwise, greatly increasing the gameplay variety.

Hey, realization! If Spyro were an adult, so would Cynder. And maybe by this time they have a kid about the age as "Classic" Spyro, depending on how far forward they time lapsed? Random thought, but one to think about. Imagine Spyro with a child.
