Some newer information to add.

Each half of Swap Force characters have their own upgrade path.
Money/experience data is probably stored in the top half.
No new elements have been introduced for this game.
There are 8 swap force movement types.

Ok, in that press release video (from the hd room article confirming adventure packs) that was 12 minutes long, one of people showing the demo stated that there would dig and jump (i think, i heard dig for sure) swap force powers.

It's rather odd that they are creating digging as a movement type....kinda like they were forgetting about the old landshark known as Terrafin.

Terrafin isn't the only Skylander with burrowing abilities. Drill Sergeant is also one.

Ah, I have not read any of the novels so I would'nt have seen that. I thought you meant he could burrow in game. But even then Terrafin isn't the only character who burrows in game, I just remembered about Fright rider.

I just thought of something.....
Can you take the top half of a Swaplander off and replace it while they are on the portal?
