Heart looked in his bag. "Bad news guys," he said to Soul and Tika, "Somehow all of our supplies are gone. We might have lost them during Apple City or the fight."

"Most of our supplies were smashed in the fight. We are going to have to ration until we buy more supplies. At least we have plenty of stuff to buy and trade with.", Conner said, while holding a bagful of goods. "We may live out there, but that doesn't mean we're poor.", Historius said. "In the morning, we will have to set out for more reasons than to save Crystal.", Conner said. He then continued sorting.

OOC: Speaking of which, where is amazingspyro?

Vern decided to join in. "And we should also stay on the look-out for those bandits. They could strike at any time. And with time rapidly departing our side, this will not be an easy task." Migx was still preoccupied with Rin, who STILL wouldn't stop crying. Yet no one else seemed to care. "This is gonna be another long night," Migx said to whoever was listening.

OoC: How are we going to continue without amazingSpyro?

While among the wreckage, Conner found a little music box. "Look what I found. It's my old music box. I used it to help me fall asleep. Maybe it could work with Ren?", Conner said. He then handed the box over to Migx.

"Hmmm, wind it and find out," Migx told Conner. He didn't even think of a music box.

OOC: You can put Rin to sleep if you want.

Conner takes the music box back form Migx. "We just twist this little knob,", he then twisted the knob at the bottom, "then we let the music play.", Conner said. Soothing music then came from the box. Little Rin then drooped her eyes, stopped crying, then fell into a deep sleep. "I am glad that worked. Now we can focus on other matters.", Conner said to Migx. With that, he continued to organize.

Besides being occupied with Rin, Migx fingers were too big for him to easily turn the box, which is why he asked Conner to do it. But he was glad that Conner did so, and now Rin was finally asleep. Migx put Rin down in a snug location, finding whatever he could use as a blanket, and tucked her in.

OOC: Thanks for letting me know about that, redwes.

I guess we'll have to do what amazingSpyro said; let her characters fade out. It's unfortunate, but we have to continue the story. This would be a good time to start the next day.

"Alright guys, I guess we better get to sleep." Heart said to Tika and Soul. Soul was still looking at the ground.

"Hey, don't worry Soul. we'll get these guys and save Crystal." Heart said to Soul.

"...Thanks man." Soul held out his fist. Heart bumped it with his. "You're the best."

DAY FOUR

Tika woke up and looked around. She noticed the other Pokémon, the Leafeon, Espeon, Poochyena, and Grovyle had left.

"Guys, guys, wake up! she said. "Some Pokémon have left!"

OOC: wow, only 4 days? I need to get this day system more consistent.

(Before Day 4)

Conner fell asleep in a pile of sheets, as Historius and himself haven't discovered their beds yet. He hoped they would be successful tomorrow.

(Day 4)

Conner woke up to Historius' complaints about his back. "Oh, my back. I wish I would have discovered my bed before I fell asleep. My old body can't really handle things like that anymore.", Historius complained. Conner knew he would feel better. He then got up, and said, "Wake up fully everyone! We need to get prepared for the day ahead!". Conner then remembered hearing what Tika said. "Another thing we should consider is why those pokemon who visited us yesterday left", he then said.

Migx woke up not just to the Historius screaming, but Rin started to cry again. Migx immediately face-pawed himself. "Maybe it has to do with the shrimp," Migx said, pointing to Rin. Vern shook his head. "Maybe there's a note somewhere," Vern stated.

"Wake up! Wake up, Ravyn!"
"I'm already awake..." Ravyn complained.
"Y-you are? But you're never awake before I am!"
Ravyn just glared at Zanni.

"Let's wait here, that way once they leave, they'll run right into us."
Couldn't we just knock? Zanni thought. But he wouldn't argue with Ravyn, he knew better then that.

(OOC: Bump?)

"I dunno why," Tika said to Historius, "They just left a note that said 'goodbye'. That could mean anything."

"Well, they're gone, so there's not much we can do about that." said Soul. "Now what exactly are we gonna do about those Outlaws?"

OoC: Sorry I haven't been on much. I have been waiting for a new time to post, and I am busy with schoolwork and a new game.

"First off, we should go to Apple City to find Crystal and the Outlaws. After that, I think it should be a stealth operation. We do not want them detecting us, as we might get captured ourselves for other purposes.", Conner said to everyone.

"Okay, but can we keep Rin here?" Migx asked.

Vern wasn't part of the group at the moment. He was currently looking up a book: The Power of the Mind. It told of hidden talents that one with great intelligence could have. "Hmmm, using the mind to tamper with the minds of others. Detect them before they detect you. Completely remove yourself from their sight. Hmmm..."

"Obviously." said Soul. "The last thing we want is another Pokémon getting kidnapped. Since most of the city is overgrown with vegetation, we can easily find shadows within the alleyways."

"And it would be best to keep Rin here," said Tika. "If you would like to, I can take her to my brother Mars. He works for the SEP, so he could find a home for Rin. But that's up to you, Migx."

Migx stuttered. "Well..."

"No," Vern said before slamming his book shut. "Rin is my friend, and Francis' friend. I decided where she goes. And where she goes, Francis should go to. ...Regardless, that sounds like a good idea to send them there. If it's true that the Malamar is her mother, then she needs to be as well guarded as possible."

"I completely agree with that Tika. I think it would be a great plan to have Rin and Francis under your brother's care, Tika.", Historius said.

After waiting a long time quietly, Zanni peeked over Ravyn's shoulder to see her face.
"You're not dozing off, are you?"
"No..." She answered. "I'm just thinking. We've been at this for so long, and we've gotten nowhere... why should we think we're getting any closer now? How are these Pokemon gonna help us?"
"Ravyn, don't say that. It was you who wanted to talk to them, right? To be totally honest, that's a rare occasion. There's gotta be some reason, I just know these people can help us."
Ravyn thought about it a little bit.
"Yeah, you're right."

"My brother works at the gates of New Angeles." Tika said to Vern and Migx. "You'll need me to talk to him though. Let me know once you've decided what to do."

This is basically the same world as the one here. Pokémon: The Virus acts as a What-If scenario for this universe.

Vern looked over and noticed that Francis was in the room. Francis just gave Vern a nod, confirming he was okay with it. "It's settled. We will take them there," Vern said.

"We had better set out soon. The longer we wait, the sooner that Crystal can have something seriously bad happen to her.", Conner said, "I can go on and scout ahead if everyone is okay with it. Or would everyone want to stay in a group?". Historius was making Conner's pack while he was saying that. It would be one more of the many times that Conner would leave for an entire day. *How many more of these days before we can relax?*, Historius thought to himself.

"We should split up," Soul said. "Me and Heart will go with Conner and Historius and scout the Apple City area. Tika, you take Migx and Vern to New Angeles so Francis and Rin can be turned in to Mars. We all meet on the outskirts of the Apple City gate in an hour. How's that sound?"

Migx and Vern both nodded. Migx held the crying Inkay in his paws, while Francis walked besides Vern. They all then walked behind Tika and waited for her to lead the way.

"I agree with the plan. I may be old, but I still have plenty of energy to fight!", Historius said. "I am fine with the plan too. I don't want to go too fast, as I-have an old bird. Would you want to have something to sit on on the way there Historius?", Conner said to his friend. "I would love that! I am still tired from my long flight yesterday, so that would be helpful." Historius said to Conner. Conner nodded, and made a wide area on top of his pack, and put stuffing n it, with an indentation big enough for Historius. Historius flapped over, then nestled in, then dozed off. Conner then put the pack on, then said, "I will leave to scout Apple City. I will make sure to cover Historius so he won't be seen as the creator of the Elixir. Good bye, and good luck.". With that, he left out the door at a slow jog, which was still quite fast.

"Alright, this way!" Tika said, and she took the lead for New Angeles.

Heart glanced over at Soul. "You ready to do this?"

"Ready as I'll ever be." Soul said.

"Alright, let's go." and together, Soul and Heart followed Conner and Historius.

"Well, there they are, Ravyn."
Just then, Ravyn began shouting to Soul and the others.
"Hey! Hey, over here!"

Wow, this is really energetic for Ravyn. Maybe she's finally found some motivation? I sure hope these people can help us... Zanni thought to himself.

As they followed Tika to New Angeles, Migx looked at Francis and smiled. "You wanna hold Rin?" Migx asked as he showed Francis the Inkay. When they saw each other, Rin started to smile. "Francy? ...Francy!!!" Rin seemed very glad to see Francis. Francis grabbed Rin and smiled. "Aww, little Rin. How you been the past few years? You are a site for soar eyes." It was obvious the two had a good relationship with each other.

Conner was having a calm feeling, despite the circumstances. It was partially because of Historius, with him on his pack, strapped down and covered while sleeping. Conner was glad he was coming along, even if he won't be that effective. Also, over the years of his vigorous training, he has gined a lot of stamina and strength, so he was positive he could jog all the way to Apple City and scout the area.

Soul heard shouting from the other side of the hill. he noticed a Vulpix and Meowth coming their way.

"Guys, look, someone is calling for us." he said.

"Wait for them to come up then," said Heart.

Tika noticed Rin and Francis taking a liking to each other. "I'm guessing you know each other?" she asked.

"Oh. good. They noticed us. Well, go say something, Ravyn."
"Okay."
Approaching the Pokemon, Ravyn continued.
"Hi. Um... Let's cut to the chase, huh? We were hoping you could help us. We're Outskirters looking for a cure to the Virus."
"Unlikely, yes. But maybe are one of you immune?" The two smiled nervously.

Francis smiled. "Yeah, me and Rin used to be good friends." Vern raised his hand. "Hey, don't forget about me, Francis," Vern reminded. Francis gave a nervous chuckle. "Woops, yeah sorry about that. Me, Rin, Vern, and two others used to be really good friends, but Vern's dad..." "Who is now dead," Vern butted. Francis froze in his tracks with this thought. Vern froze too. "Is... is that good or bad?" Francis asked.

Over the last 10 minutes, Conner finally made it to Apple City. It was a desolate ruin. Conner whispered to himself, "Better scout around...". He used Detect. There were no bad Pokémon in the vicinity, so that was good. He then proceeded around the city, carefully inspecting the inside to see what he could do to breach.

While Conner and Historius went up to scout Apple City, Soul and Heart were talking to the Pokémon that approached them.

"No, neither of us are immune." Heart said. "Are you guys Outskirters?"

Before long, Tika and the others finally made it to New Angeles. "Guys, wait here while I go and find my brother." she said. Tika ran up to the gate.

They waited patiently. "Well, sort of good, I suppose," Vern said. "...Except I kind of wish I could have helped him instead of killed him. I don't know why, I just felt like there was something I could have done."

OOC can I join?

OOC: you sure can!

"That's too bad..." Said Zanni.
Ravyn went on "Yeah, we are Outskirters. That's why we're looking for a cure. We've been searching for sometime... please, if there's anyway that you think you could help us... We'll be willing to compensate. We'll do anything, you name it."

"Well, we do know-" Soul got immediately cut off by Heart, who started covering his mouth.

"Um, please excuse me and my friend, my apologies." Heart said to the two Pokémon. Both of them walked a distance and started talking, just out of range so that the Vulpix and Meowth couldn't hear them at all.

"Soul, are you nuts!?" Heart exclaimed. "We don't know these Pokémon! You can't just go telling them we know of a cure!"

"Heart, I get that we had a pretty bad encounter with Outskirters at first. But if we find a way to manipulate this cure, we can save the world and expose Blackfire! They could just be the Pokémon we need to finishing this puzzle."

"What about the SEP, Soul? Can you imagine what they would do to immunes after discovering this? We can talk to Conner and Historius about this after we help Crystal. For now let's not tell them anything. Maybe they'll be willing to help us save Crystal."

Soul thought about it for a moment. "Okay, that sounds good." he looked down. "I'm sorry, Heart, it's just..."

Heart stopped him. "What happened to Crystal wasn't your fault, Soul. Don't worry, If my brother knew Blackfire like he did-"

"Wait a sec, you NEVER mentioned your brother knew him," Soul interrupted.

"He worked for Blackfire, okay? What i'm saying is Blackfire won't hurt Crystal. I promise that."

"Alright, let's get back to these Pokémon." Both of them walked back to the Vulpix and Meowth.

"Sorry about that," Heart said to them, "We've just been having a long day. We're on our way to Apple City. Some Outlaws kidnapped our friend Crystal, and we really need to get there, so if you want to know about us, you'll have to walk with us on our way there. My name is Heart, and this is Soul. Who are you guys?"

Tika ran up to the entrance of New Angeles, where Mars was patrolling. "Mars!" she yelled, "Come down, I have to talk!"

"Be right there!" Mars yelled. "Open the gate!"

Just as the gate opened, Mars quickly slipped out and met Tika. "What's up?"

"Mars, I need you to do a favor for me." Tika explained everything to Mars: the attack, Crystal's kidnapping, and the Pokémon that needed a home.

"So basically, my friends over there need a place to stay while we go save Crystal. Do you think you can help them?"

"Of course," Mars said, "We've recently renovated the motel downtown. How long do you think they'll be here?"

"I wouldn't imagine more than a day." Tika thought outloud.

"Alright, I'll get them to reserve rooms for your friends. Bring them here."

Tika ran back to the others. "Guys, you're all set. See that Raichu over there? That's my brother Mars. He's got rooms for you in the downtown motel. Talk to him and you'll be all set."

Crystal slowly woke up to the sound of voices. When she looked around, she was strapped to a chair in a boxed room with only a door. Crystal assumed it was an interrogation room. Once the door opened, however, Crystal quickly passed out again.

Vern, Francis and Rin walked over to Mars, while Migx stayed put. Vern quickly greeted himself in front of Mars. "Greetings," he started. "I am Vern. These two are old friends of mine who wish to stay here. ...Or at least need to stay here to be safe." Francis walked up to Mars with his hand out for a shake. "Hello, I am Francis, and this little girl is Rin. Tika thinks it would be best if we stayed here, and normally I don't question ones opinion on what's right, so I'm going with it. ...But..." Francis turned around and shook Verns hand. "I guess this is good bye for now," Francis said. Vern shook back and patted Francis on the back. "Don't worry, we will meet again." Francis nodded and turned back to Mars. "Okay, we are ready. Goodbye Vern. Goodbye Tika."

"Okay, right this way," Mars said, leading the two into the Gates. Tika got one last look before the gates completely closed.

"Okay, guys, now let's head up to Apple City and meet with the others," Tika stated.

Zanni looked over to Ravyn as if to ask, what are you thinking?
"Fine" She said. "I'm Ravyn."
Next, the Meowth introduced himself. "And my name is Zanni"
"We'll go with you."

"So what brings you to this area?" Heart asked Ravyn and Zanni.

Vern nodded as they followed Tika to the location specified. Migx followed in suit. What do you expect? Poetry? That's all I got to say!

Conner eventually found a little alley away from the main entrance into the city. He went in, and examined the area. It was infested with Pokemies. At least he had his spray, or else he couldn't d oany healing. He stealthily sprayed each f the different Pokemies, saving every Pokémon from a fate of insanity.

"We've just been searching for the cure."
Zanni interrupted "We actually came way out here based on a feeling Ravyn had. She had hoped to find someone here who could help us."
"Yeah, but none of you are immune so you probably can't help us find the cure."
"Hey, don't be like that Ravyn. These nice Pokemon are letting us travel with them, it's not too often we have a group of people to accompany us on our travels. As long as we don't give up hope, I still believe we can find a cure."
"Yeah, you're right. Sorry..."
"No worries." Zanni turned to look at Heart. "You'll have to get used to Ravyn. She's a really nice girl, but she has a hard time trusting others."

"It's fine, I'm sure we'll get used to you guys just fine." said Heart.

Before long, Tika and the others managed to catch up to Soul and the others.

"Tika, Everything good?" Soul asked.

"Yep, my brother's taking care of it." she said. "Have you scouted Apple City yet?"

"Not yet, we let Conner and Historius go on ahead, because we ran into these guys. Ravyn, Zanni, This is our friend Tika. Tika, this is Ravyn and Zanni, some Outskirters we ran into."

"Hello!" Tika said.

Migx and Vern stepped forward as well. Migx held his hand out and smiled. "Pleased to meet you guys. I'm Migx," he said when he had the chance to. Vern went next. "Greetings. My name is Vern."
