I know, I read the artist comments.

I had a thought about SxC if they keep it in SK. They could make it a sort of joke, like what they did with Eric and Kitty in the show Sidekick. If you don't know the show that's fine, all you need to know is that Kitty LOVES Eric to bits, but when she says 'I love you' (which she does frequently) Eric says 'What' because he never hears her right, and Kitty just says "What' like she never said anything.

Here's a thought I had: Triumph, the guys behind Overlord are Dutch, right? The spreadsheet, our most relyable source of info on SK is in Dutch, right? So, one may be lead to believe that something regarding SK, maybe it's very creation, is going on in that part of the world. Could it be that Triumph is making SK? If that's true, that and the fact that it's called Spyro's Kingdom, may be telling about what the game will be like... (ie. similar to Overlord).

That would just be amazing. I love Overlord, it was such a great game. And the sequel was great fun too! I think they would do a good job on SK if they were to make it.

I'm not saying it IS a Dutch developer, I'm just saying it seems likely.

EDIT: I actually hope thay DON'T do ANY fanservice in SK. Know why? It seems like games made by developers that just make a game they like do so much better than those that try to please all or one group of fans. It's like, if they try to put two character together as a couple, they get backlash from those that didn't want that and those that say it was done wrong. No, I can honestly say that anything done to suit the creator's likes is just better than something that tried to cater to a bunch of random people.

I know, I was watching one of the old cartoons I like and the lead character was in battle with the main villain, and he was battling with skill and style, maintaining a tone of seriousness fitting to the situation but was still able to grin when he struck a blow. He even managed to let a smile in his voice when he approached the villain, weaopon at the ready, and said "don't move a muscle, I'd hate to see any harm come your way.."

They made the reboot for a reason. I think it would be stupid to drop TLoS tbh. If they could just lighten it up, I think the series should be fine. And I mean, if all of the fans wanted one particular thing, I think that they should add that thing. We don't know what Activision wants for Spyro. They could want something completely different than what the fans want. See what I'm saying? Activision hasn't been with Spyro since Insomniac, they didn't make the games and see how the fans reacted to the games.

@Darby neither did Sierra when they took over... Look how well that turned out... Hopefully someone at Activision will be wise enough to review each Spyro game for themselves, NOT just rely on reviews by fans or official rtatings. And once they've done that, they'll make a game with THEIR ideas, not one that's fanservice and more fanservice,

Also, fanservice won't work for Spyro, because from what I can tell, we don't all want the same thing here; I'm not even sure there's a majority who want the same thing.

Yeah, with a dark tone, but lighthearted... or bright and cheerful like the originals. But NOT like AHT, the setting was awful (the game is decent IMO, but I hate the atmosphere... a lot... I feel like I'm playing a game for 3-year-olds... the first 3 were cheerful but didn't feel too childish)

hmm. I liked how ANB was. It had a really dark tone, but it still had humor. If they had even more humor in the next game, and still a dark tone, I personally think that'd be great.

I like all three equally, to be honest. DotD used to be my favorite, but now I've grown to like all three equally.
^ And I know what you mean. it's because EL developed the game, completely changing it. And the next game will probably be one of it's own too, because there's going to be an all new developer.

*free-roam

*objectives

*no learning new elements

*enemy battles that didn't stretch on forever and ever

Actually, the game reminds more of "Avatar: The Burning Earth" than a "Legend of Spyro" game...or even a "Spyro" game.

I'd rather have something a bit more light hearted..... It seems that every game you see nowadays has to be dark in tone unless it's Mario or Sonic.

Not like AHT though, that was a bit too lighthearted. But something along the lines of Ripto's Rage, with a touch of ANB added in.

On the topic of fanservice:
If you are making a game from a big franchise, you should always cater to the fans somewhat.....or your game will turn out like Sonic 06....

As for tone:
I'd like something that leans more towards being dark. I didn't feel ANB was dark at all until the end, despite the epic music. And Epic Mickey wasn't as dark as I thought it would be. I think the ideal LoS story tone should be like Kingdom Hearts or Sonic Chronicles.

I want a game were the atmosphere is rather light hearted most of the time, yet it still has a really dark plot, which is original. Like a Zelda game. That's what I love the most.

I certainly wouldn't want that.... I mean, I play Spyro because I want to go on an adventure with that purple dragon and his best friend Sparx, not because I want to see romance. It was bad enough that Cynder replaced Sparx in DotD...
