No but then again we haven't seen any videos of the Toy Fair. I suspect we will see the videos tonight and some Developer a interviews tomorrow. Honestly I would be flabbergasted if they didn't show anything new, or hint about the next games plot, gimmick, content, or title.

There was nothing new announced and the lady told me they were planning on announcing it later on. I saw the Red Dune Bug, but they were only giving it out to people who had appointments and the press which was really frustrating. I would have loved to have one, I even saw it in the display case and the person there outright lied to me and said they didn't have any.

Looks like skylander dad is having fun in NYC...nice show off of TRU...great confirmation of Dune Bug. Now let's see if anything happens this week. I'm guessing we'll get a teaser but that's it.

Well, I didn't see them, but I heard they had them in the back room and showing them to people and companies that had appointments. Basically, Activision is only interested in the press and companies that can spend thousands and thousands of dollars on a daily basis.

I will never apologize to someone who claims he knows about something but doesn't put appropriate proof that it is real in the first place. You don't need to bring that speech every time this happens, it's useless we won't stop denying someone who claims something without proof of legitimacy.

Likewise, people don't need to bring the "pics or it didn't happen" speech up every time something like this happens. But they do anyway. And more often than not, they're proven to be ignorant (as in lacking-knowledge) and spiteful for it.

I think what he's upset about is that only a select few attendees are allowed to see the presentation, not just anyone attending the fair in an already restricted event.

I agree, people are way to quick to jump on someone. He posted a picture to prove the figure. I wouldn't have posted anymore pictures either with the responses he got. This happens a lot on this forum.

There are way too many negative people on this forum. The fact that this is a forum and not an official site implies that many posts will be speculation. People who demand proof and call people liars need to check themselves. I enjoy all of the information that is offered. We should not alienate people that give us news. Yes, some people will post false information, but the vast majority of forum members mean well. It seems like "Post pic or it didn't happen" has replaced "I'm rubber and you're glue." Maybe we should graduate from the playground and treat people with respect. The few posters who do post false information should not make this an unwelcoming site for the rest of us.

Yes, negativity can be harsh at times, but if it really bothers you that much ... close down your browser, it is lightweight on this forum. The rest of the Internet is going to leave you a quivering mess in the fetal position. As far as losing good posters, the only really good one that cut back was lesty, and that wasn't because of skepticism, it was because people attacked him because local Target stores didn't follow the corporate direction to the letter. If you post "hey I saw this, but didn't get a picture but you need to believe me for no reason", then leave because someone doesn't believe it then sorry, you are not a "good poster". Most people get that.

Yes, but the picture was missing the most important part to prove it legitimacy. This wouldn't happen if:
1. The poster makes a more detailed post about the context in which he saw the figure instead of "I saw that."
2. The poster includes a picture in the first post showing the figure with, when possible (in this case the Toy Fair sticker), a definitive proof of its legitimacy instead of "He looks red."

If people would follow these steps instead of creating attention/drama-seeking topics, people wouldn't be negative against the posters and no one would be calling them liars.

Skylanders was the biggest selling action figure last year...There's zero chance that Doom Stone turns into a never-seen-it when all they've done all along is pound into you the whole 256 different swapabilities deal. All the remaining 3 swappers will be available in good quantities-probably well into the next year when the new game is released (I constantly see Ninjini these days at my local stores)...The question with Freeze Blade, Trap Shadow and Doom Stone isn't if...It's when.

Entitled much? No one owes you a particular posting style. No one owes you proof. Just like you don't owe anyone the benefit of the doubt. But, just because someone doesn't bend to the will of your desired posting style, it doesn't mean they're lying or that folks should accuse them of it with ZERO proof.

That is merely a suggestion on how to avoid negativity, or skepticism - not a demand or entitlement. Either you provide evidence, or you get people that don't believe you (and sometimes that happens even with evidence). Choose option A or option B. Don't get bent out of shape if you can't have both.

The burden of proof is on the person making the claim.
