If Lesty says it will be readily available, he means at least in Target stores in the USA. However, I do not believe Lesty is implying that this one will be a store exclusive. It will probably be available at all retailers.

Like shelly says....its just speculation....know one knows how many different countries its going to be in...one thing for sure is it is going to be in stores...not a supid Frito-Lay Promotion.

I can confirm he is an in game variant. Shows up as "Jolly Bumble Blast" in the game and has the outfit on.
As to release schedule I have no idea.

He also unlocks an exclusive hat in the game. Same with Springtime Trigger Happy and Kickoff Countdown.

Oh, so now they are using in game variants as a vehicle to prevent completion of something in the game? Lame.

I don't know if I would consider the hat collection to be necessary to "complete the game". Yeah, it would be to see absolutely everything - but by that note, one would have had to pre-order at Best Buy and Best Buy only for SSA to "complete" that game (Volcanic Vault). Or buy a Wii to "complete" Giants (Gnarly Tree Rex). Or buy bags of chips for both games (Sidekicks). All of those things eventually had other ways to get those things, but that was not the original planned way. And honestly, how can you consider the game "complete" by that definition even if you could get the hat otherwise - you wouldn't have the in-game variant to mark off your collection.

We just need to accept that we are all spending way more than necessary on this game, and I hope it is because we want it and not because it ticks a check box in the game.

Yup - Although you couldn't "unlock" or check off any of the hats from the other systems, even by bringing in a character wearing the hat from that system...

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I have a quick question about platform specific hats;
Are they available in all versions of Giants? If so I could bring all of them (4?) over from Giants to my Xbox 360 version of SSA and make those question marks in my Hat section go away forever, right?
But they still wouldn't be permanently unlocked in SSA, correct? Which means if I remove the the hat, its gone again from that game.

At least one other thread in this forum said that Game Stop's internal system momentarily listed a Jolly Bumble Blast listed, or a "bumble blast xmas". Therefore I don't think it'll be TRU specific.

i just want the hat that comes with him (if you think he doesn't come with a hat then look on the bit where it tells you what hats there are and where they can be found)

I'm not compelled to buy Jolly guy cause I need to tick a check box, I was just noting that it was simply lame to tie hats to a character since precedent was already set in the previous games that these were in game "finds". I don't have the RFID for the UFO hat and don't care, to help put it in perspective.

That being said, I'm more compelled to buy variants for "new" characters than say for a character that's been out for 3 generations (like green Chop Chop although he's really chase and not in game). As long as I can get it for retail, I'll probably get it My son however has indicated he does not want any reposes and will only get one version of a given character. We might get others due to battle packs / adventure pack tie ins.

Now, if these hats do in fact show up as there but greyed out in the display, I will submit to you that they did a bait and switch talking up how they didn't move the heroics aspect into Swap Force (we don't compel you to buy skylanders if you want to upgrade your stock), and then did this. If however, they are simply hidden (like VV was)...then no biggie. It's all in the presentation to the gamer as it speaks to Activision's intent. Reading from what I said you might say Heroics were hidden, and that's true--but they prevented you from fully accessing abilities on a figure you've paid for.

I agree the regular does look best, idk what they were thinking with the jolly one they could have done a better figure i think.

I agree...I think they did about as good as they could've done with that monstrosity.

Jolly Bumble Blast looks bad tobby because they didn't do the darker shade wash(see the darker paint in the cracks of his body?)..witch is easy enough to fix...just get a darker red an green. And his eye pupils are to big and there in the wrong place(the green part)making him look crossed eyed..witch is also easy enough to fix.
If i can ever get one i will fix it an post it....as i did to my Bumble Blast.

guess the reason for not the darker shades of the red was probably they tried to make him look as thou he was wearing a santa suit

Yeah probably...might have been better if they flocked the red an green parts. Hmmm...thats a thought. <eg>

The Wii part turned False when Gnarly came out in a single (and Punch Pop Fizz for UK players)

Yeah i didn't get the e-mail either.....but like artican stated...the word "Exclusive" isn't there. Witch is proly a good thing.

As I have stated above, I ordered mine from cduniverse at the beginning of the month, so it is not GameStop exclusive.
