Remaining New Skylanders Named

Thanks to FFM1994 Walmart have kindly provided us with the names for the remaining mystery Skylanders from Skylanders SWAP Force, unfortunately they don't have any new pictures so you'll have to use your imagination for the moment.

For the totally brand new SWAP Force Core Skylanders we have:

  • Wind Up
  • Scratch
  • Punk Shock
  • Dune Bug
  • Smolderdash
  • Scorp

In addition to the ones we've known about previously there will be LightCore versions of Countdown, Bumble Blast and Smolderdash.

The remaining Adventure Pack and Battle Pack were also named as "Sheep Wreck Island" and "Arkeyan Crossbow" respectively. No details were given so it is still guesswork as to which Skylanders will be included in those packs.

And finally they gave almost all of the missing names for the Skylanders returning from previous games:

  • Heavy Duty Sprocket
  • Bang Bang Big Bang Trigger Happy
  • Anchors Away Gill Grunt
  • Fire Bone Hot Dog
  • Phantom Cynder
  • Twin Blade Chop Chop
  • Super Gulp Pop Fizz
  • Turbo Jet-Vac
  • Horn Blast Whirlwind
  • Hyper Beam Prism Break
  • LightCore Wham-Shell
  • LightCore Warnado
  • LightCore Flashwing

That does however still leave room for one more Life returnee...

I think Dune Bug is most likely Earth, as a dune is normally sand.

Both core earth characters have been revealed. Scorp and SlobberTooth.
Dune Buggie is a type of car designed for fast travel over sand. It will most likely be a Tech element.

The organization of the lightcores and S2 is so, not so organized, some elements are getting more characters released this game then others...it's just so....eww

Bilions of Prism Break, Whirlwinds, Eruptors, Chop Chops... Meh, I understand Spyro or Cynder, since in the first place, they were core characters of the old games and a solid merchandise by themselves, but the rest? Gimme a break! That's really a MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT! :/ Why would I want another figure with just different angle of risen hand or closed mouth? That's way too lame.

Wind Up=Air
Scratch=Water (Pecause it sounds like a pirate who has a scar on his face)
Punk Shock=Tech(It sounds like a person from Jet Set Radio just robotic and does not have skates)
Dune Bug=Magic (I dunno)
Smolderdash=Fire
Scorp=Earth

Totally unimpressed with returning names...I DEFINITELY need to get a 3rd or 4th or 5th character of Eruptor, Spyro, Chop Chop, Whirlwind, Gil Grunt, Trigger Happy, Cynder, Prism Break etc. LOL

That means the leaked pictures (Trigs, Gil, Chop) are probably the actual characters---they don't look good at all.

And these adjectives..."Fire Bone", "Heavy Duty" etc...sounds so contrived... as Haldor would say...Wa HOOOOOOO!

So, that for me leaves Warnado and Wham Shell that I'll probably get even without the wow pows and the new guys...assuming I can actually get leaked content about the GAME ITSELF. I'm so over the characters.

Looks like this game will be a scratch. Time to Wind up for the next one!

Those leaked pictures were WIP toys, they weren't the final versions of the toys.

Aura: Unless you have official word from Activision, we're both speculating. I'm betting these are the figures. IMO the character design is more miss than hit with me this time.

Now I need to find out if I "have" to buy reposed characters to complete any in game task to confirm my cut down of repose purchases.

Heavy Duty Sprocket? I hope that's a variant name, because it makes everything confusing as a returning skylander. If that be the case, then we need to make it less confusing. Like getting rid of the S1/S2 jargon, and just using the game name to identify figures like most of the retail stores do. Like Swap Force - Heavy Duty Sprocket, or SSF - Heavy Duty Sprocket.

I'm just upset that Ghost Roaster isn't coming back again! Why Toys For Bob WHY?! He, Voodood and Boomer should have been back for this one and the only returning characters better have wow pows to make them feel worth returning. I'm glad Wham Shell and Warnado got back in, but now the releases will surely confuse parents and kids so much with the inconsistencies in the figures they chose.
